June raised his eyebrows, staring at Grey. He didn’t think he had enough patience to listen to him at all.

"What did you mean by that...?" Grey asked, looking uneasy. "What you said about Syll a while back... what does that mean?"

June certainly didn’t have time to explain now, and he didn’t want to be the one to do the explaining either. Instead, he casually said, "Can you do me a favor?"

Grey raised an eyebrow. "Huh?"

June repeated, "Do me a favor..."

"But you have to answer my questions first."

June sighed. "It’s an emergency... Can we talk about this after that?"

Grey observed him for a while. He could see that June was a mess. He was leaving without even taking a bath, which basically said a lot.

"What do you want?"

"Give me a lift."

Grey took June in his car to his destination after insisting that he take a bath and dress into something more appropriate.

While they were on their way, he asked June what the problem was and why he looked so anxious and uneasy.

"When we get there..." June said. He didn’t think he was in the right state of mind to explain. His brain was a complete mess.

Grey didn’t ask further.

When they arrived at the destination, Grey had booked a VIP room for them. June and Grey sat inside, soon joined by Ryan, Kael, and Simon, who had also arrived.

The five of them sat in the room, discussing the situation at hand.

June explained his theory and expressed that he was more than certain Mr. Kevin had done something. He explained his suspicions without giving away the fact that he potentially knew the "storyline" of their past.

"...So that’s why I think Mr. Kevin has something to do with this," he explained.

Ryan leaned back with a nod. "I also think so..." He stared at June. "For an F-rank Esper, Nyx doesn’t seem ordinary at all. So it’s not surprising that Mr. Kevin would want him for his dirty tricks..."

Simon agreed. "...And judging from his initial reaction to Nyx on the day of our test, it’s a given that he must be up to something."

While they discussed the possibility of Mr. Kevin being involved, Grey sat back and simply observed.

June had tried not to get Nyx’s parents involved. He was certain Nyx wouldn’t want the fact that his parents abused him to be known.

After their discussion, they had mildly concluded that Mr. Kevin had kidnapped him. Afterwards, they all turned to Grey, who was sitting there and watching them.

"What? Why are you all staring at me?" Grey asked.

"I also brought you here because I believe you’re the most experienced among us," June said. "So you should have an idea of where we can begin looking for Nyx."

Ryan nodded as Grey stared at them, adjusting his glasses.

"Mr. Kevin is literally an extremely important government figure. The Director-General at that. Are you all just being naive, or do you really want to confront him?" Grey asked.

"Yes," June said firmly. "I don’t care if it comes off as naive. That’s exactly what I want to do. And even if he’s the president or whatever, if he really has Nyx... I’ll do more than confront him."

His tone was dark and serious, causing Grey to slowly shake his head as he bit his lower lip.

"You really are serious, eh... Truly love over brains."

"So are you going to help us or not?" June asked again.

"All you have to do is take us there. You don’t have to take us in or anything. We’ll find our way," Ryan explained as June nodded firmly.

Grey sighed, folding his arms as he shook his head. "You naive ones... How do you expect me to take you there and just abandon you?"

He bit his lower lip. "Are you certain that he was kidnapped by him?" he asked.

"Yes," June said firmly. "He is."

The plot couldn’t have failed him.

Grey sighed. "Mr. Kevin is already dangerous. He’s not someone you can casually confront like that..."

"It’s extremely difficult to get past wherever he would probably be staying if he did do what you said he did," Grey added.

"So you do know where he would be if he did kidnap Nyx?" June asked.

Grey folded his arms and nodded. "Unfortunately. It’s obvious that when the government acquires such an extraordinary being, there’s only one place they could possibly take him. Their lab or something."

Ryan nodded in agreement.

"Poor Nyx..." June bit his lower lip, wondering how scared he must be right now.

Grey continued, "So it’s almost impossible to get in there, even if we know where it could be..."

June thought for a while before asking, "But... do you know where that could be, at least? Let’s get there first and then think about bursting in while we’re there. I think that’s the fastest way now."

Grey raised his eyebrows. "You are probably being rash. Mr. Kevin isn’t just another schoolmate, you know? He’s definitely not one of the Elite Five... he’s the government."

"Even though he’s unawakened, he has a lot of power and control. You can’t even touch him," Grey explained. "So going to him without any plan is like walking straight into your death. I don’t support that at all."

June didn’t wish to waste time. He believed any time wasted would make things more difficult for Nyx and put him in even more danger.

He didn’t want that.

"We can’t wait." June stared at his brother. "We can’t waste any time at all..."

Grey stared at him. "And I won’t be risking your safety either," he explained.

At that moment, June stared at Grey for a while before saying firmly, "Don’t you want to know about what I said to Syll?"

Grey raised his eyebrows, staring firmly at June.

June added almost immediately, "It’s related to him. Mr. Kevin."
