There was much to do, so Adam thought. The half elf’s eyes remained glued on the four rings, channelling his mana into them slowly.

'There is much to do,' Adam thought once more.

'There was much to do,' Vonda, too, thought, surrounded by the various weapons she was required to enchant, to assist her husband with his burdens, and so burdenous he was, this troublemaker, who was his grandfather’s grandson, his daughter’s father.

There weren't just one or two weapons the half elf would need to enchant. Indeed, for it was not easy, even for him, to shirk the Amira, but then there was the Faro, too, each with their own wants, desires, and Adam also required to make various other magical weapons as gifts, for a single magical weapon as a gift could turn an entire family to his side. There were those who gift great merchants and nobles with gifts worth a hundred or so gold, but at this time, and perhaps for all time, a magical weapon was something worth greater than a hundred gold, even those which were Basic, a mere +1 enchantment, and yet that +1 enchantment could close the gap between one who was middling in power and one who was impressive in power.

However, though there were nobles to think of, and how loathe he was to think of them, save for the Amira, who was now his friend, he thought about those who he was responsible for now, and those his cousins had brought to him. The Twin Steel Sabres, so impressive were they, and though they were not exactly the smartest, they were at least wise, and they each wielded a pair of sabres, which was fine enough, for he could enchant four weapons at once, and they would each possess identical enchantments, but the question was, for the Twin Steel Sabres, what would be the best enchantment? They were those who were considered Monks, for the lack of a better term, those who wielded their fists and feet, and yet were also those whose great strength came not from their strength, but their skill, and not just their skill with fist and foot, but with the fact that they moved so swiftly, and could freeze an opponent in place.

Although, he supposed great strength would be enough for them, for if they wielded fine weapons that could strike true much easier, and their sabres were as heavy as greatswords, that was a fairly decent enchantment, wasn't it?

Then there was Hakam, the grandson of Vadim, the Chimera, who had come to him from Chosen. Whereas the Twin Steel Sabres might have been from Tanagek, or, well, perhaps Chosen too, he had forgotten, but Hakam was certainly from Chosen, who had managed to convince Jirot to allow him to bring the young man along, and, apparently he was as talented as a few others he knew of, from someone else he needed to consider, and, well, apparently himself.

A longsword, of course, but he, too, wielded a pair of swords, and so what could he enchant for him? Perhaps the same as the others, so that, as a Fighter, he could unleash the blades upon his foes with such great viciousness, or should he instead aim for something else? There were a great many ideas for his swords, but what about something with more of a utility focus, perhaps to increase his Defence, to allow him to survive without a shield, or, perhaps, a powerful technique he could deploy once to destroy all the enemies around him? The biggest issue with a Fighter was the lack of versatility outside of being able to wield all weapons extremely well, and so, perhaps there would come a time in which he would be trapped by the lack of versatility?

He knew what he'd like as an enchanted weapon, for his own enchanted weapon was terrifying, but what did Hakam like? What was his desire? What plagued him in a battle? He hadn't truly entered a battle yet, he was an Expert that had been raised like a rose. No, not quite a rose, since he apparently had sparred a great many warriors, and had been beaten by a great many more, to remind him of his place, so this thorns were sharp enough.

Adam exhaled lightly, letting his mana flow out to enchant the rings.

Then there was John, who was considered to be talented as much as he. He had been unable to take John out this time, and next year, John would likely remain behind, he'd be too weak to step onto the battlefield, although he had to prepare himself for Nirot to ask, for even if he was too weak, she would believe herself quite capable of defending him, and would he be able to refuse? He would just need to focus on protecting him, and, perhaps, a set of magical armour, and a magical sword, and a magical shield, could protect him? Then, as he faced the numerous Reavers, he, as someone who would be roughly Level 3, an Adept, with Greater of each, could perhaps be able to survive lightly, even against an Expert? Perhaps not an Expert, but even so, such would be enough to help him survive, and compared to others who would be of equivalent in strength, he may as well be an Expert.

Then there was Yasha, who he had promised to assist, and who had been assisting lightly as they had stepped out. She was unable to do much this year, though that was fairly understandable, except he hadn't really made her a decent spear as of yet. It was an okay spear, he supposed, but she was Yasha, the Flaming Spear Wyrm, but with a proper spear, everyone would be forced to call her the Flaming Spear Drake, and she must have wished to take the battlefield next year in order to claim such a title.

Yes, her spear should be enchanted with flames, and should be Greater Enhanced, at least, and her armour, Greater, for no one within the United Kindom should possess anything less than Greater armour, for they were those he cared for, and he would watch over them well, unless someone think he was a nobleman.

Adam inhaled sharply.

Then there was Mork, and his twin brother, Tork. Mork, the Priest, would perhaps wish to step out, he seemed the type, and his brother would certainly go, even if Adam politely asked him to stay back, and their weapons should invoke the call of the storm. In terms of the theme of their swords, he knew what he wanted, but the exact specifics, which was they should be Greater Enhanced, like all the other weapons he wished to enchant for the people, but what should be the Enhanced of the Greater Enhanced?

Adam continued to think deeply upon the matter of the enchantments.

The basic idea was similar to his own weapon, slightly greater damage, with an increased chance to Critical Hit, and with their own techniques, that might even allow them to achieve a Critical Hit with an 18, like him, like the Gaks.

Ah, and then there was the fact he needed to enchant weapons for his cousins, each of whom wielded wildly different weapons.

Then there was Fred, who had a decent enough sword, one that even a Grand Duchess had asked for, and yet, he was not a Grand Duchess, he was a Lead of the United Kindom, so such a sword was not suitable for him.

No, he needed a sword that was much better.

Jonn, too, whose sword was actually fairly decent, and yet, was not considered among the greatest of their type, of what he had enchanted.

Indeed, for when those of the United Kindom stepped onto the battlefield, they should be adorned in greater wealth than even the King himself, Adam thought.

A small smile slipped onto his face.

Yes.

Yes.

That's right.

That's how it should be.

The nobles, they should know their place.

Vonda side eyed her husband, and assumed he was thinking about beating up nobles.
