Beyond Chaos – A DiceRPG
[1731] – Y07.231 – The Children Are So Cute I
As the sun fell upon the Iyr, it was a new sun, bringing with it the chill of duskval. As Adam sat up, staring at the wall in front of him, he found his twins at his sides, the children with their heads upon his thighs, while they slept in their own way, Jirot sprawled all about, and Jarot with his hands crossed over his stomach.
'My children, they're so cute...' the half elf thought, but even as he thought such a thing, he slowly peeled himself away from the pair, and silently, made his way out, as the first rays of the sun came to greet them. Behind him, his wife stirred, beginning to awaken the children.
"Daddy, how dare you do such a thing," Jirot grumbled a few minutes later, rubbing her eyes, but Adam only smiled in return, deflecting her grumbling. As Jirot stared up towards her father, she accepted the teethleaf, chewing on it lightly, her eyes completely focused upon her father.
She understood something was terribly wrong when Adam only dunked himself in water and then stepped out, cleaning and drying his clothes with magic. The girl's eyes darted towards her mother in shock, and spoke with her mother, requesting assistance, but the woman returned a gentle smile, and thus the girl had to trust in her father, for her father, wasn't he the wisest of all?
It was her lying to herself in her heart which caused her to remain so quiet.
"Since you have already begun your training, and so harshly you train, my dear grandson, I shall begin with teaching you the basic punches and kicks," Mulrot said.
"Yes, grandmother!" Adam half exclaimed, staring at the tree in front of him, as though he would need to destroy it for her sake.
Mulrot smiled, glad the half elf had requested to learn the way of her family, and since he was her grandson, it was his right to learn such a way, and she would not deny him.
"Also, can you do that thing, grandmother? Where you, uh, where you make your arms like rivers?"
"River slapping?" Mulrot replied, tilting her head. "Yes."
"I thought it had a cooler name."
"The spar of flesh and bone."
"Yeah, yeah, that’s cool, and grandaunt was so cool too."
"Shall I ask her to teach you," Mulrot huffed in response.
"Grandmother, how can you bully me like this?"
"You must first learn to punch and kick before you learn river slapping."
"Yes!" Adam exclaimed, and with that he began to follow her instructions, his fists cleanly punching through the air, almost as clean as his swordplay. As he kicked the tree, barely stopping the blow before it struck the wood, Mulrot held onto her chin.
She had completely forgotten her grandson already knew the basics of punching and kicking, even though she had heard the tale of him already defeating the many Masters with his punches and kicks, and though, certainly he had amplified his strength with his magic, he was truly a terrifying warrior with his unarmed strikes already, not quite as terrifying as her own, but with his own unique talents, beyond even her when it came to how much terror he could inflict.
‘Why does he require me to teach him?’ Mulrot thought, and yet, since her grandson had asked to train, she did so, teaching him the typical training that she had gone through, first the basics of running and muscle buildings, mostly calisthenics, which he was already familiar with, she also taught him the way she learnt to punch and kick, and the various palm techniques too, and considered training him in her movement techniques too, but considering how he wore heavy armour, that would be difficult.
Adam arrived at the baths shortly after the children. He meditated within the bath for a short while before washing himself. The children had already begun eating by the time he had arrived, for the half elf had spent much longer training than the children, for the children were so young, he was so old, this father of theirs, who was so wise.
"You did well in training today, daddy?" Jirot asked.
"You must ask nano, but I think my training was very good," Adam replied.
"Nano, daddy is a good student?"
"Your father might be my greatest student, for he listens as well as you, but he is already greater than most Paragons, so it is so easy to teach him."
"Well done, daddy, well done!" Jirot declared, and she reached down, picking up a sliced potato, placing it down on his plate, and as she did so, hearing his lips parting open, her head twisted, and blurred, as she began to glare into his eyes, as if daring him to say it, but, her father, he was so wise, the wisest of all, so he did not say the words, and he ate the potato she offered, and returned the favour by feeding her half a banana. "Daddy! How you can do this? Your hands are dirty!"
"You resisted the urge to bully me for so long today, it must be a new record," Adam replied, leaning in to nuzzle his daughter's nose, as his children laughed, and Jirot cackled, hugging her father, the two exchanging kisses against their cheeks.
"Mik?" Xarot asked, turning towards his mother, making the sign for milk with his chubby fingers.
"You had your milk, so you must eat your salya," Vonda replied.
Xarot pouted, and as he began to complain, as though this was the greatest travesty in the world, a finger poked his cheek, and he turned towards his father, pointing towards his mother.
"Don't be like that! It's all your fault, since whenever you drink so much, you start causing so much trouble!"
"No!" the boy cried in return.
"Yes!"
"No!"
"No!"
"No!" Xarot cackled, and as Adam picked him up, the boy squealed, and Adam kissed his cheek, dodging the bits of salya around his mouth, wiping his face clean with a cloth.
"Alright, it seems this father of yours has taken quite some time off from work, so he must return to work."
"Daddy, you did so much alchemy when you came back..." Jirot accused.
"That wasn't work, that was for jiddo, remember?"
"Since it was for Kal Vadim the Chimera, I will forgive you."
"Just this once?"
"If you know it, you know it," Jirot replied, turning her head, eyeing up her father.
"Since I have so much work to do, and it is a certain type of work, I had an idea, or rather, it is your elder brother who is a genius, for he is truly his mother's son, since he found a way for me, and your mother, and even your lovely kako, and perhaps others, to work much easier, this brother of yours."
"Well done, papa Karot!" Jirot said, holding up a thumbs up.
Karot blinked, as both Konarot and Kirot also showered him in praise and affection, causing his tail to curl about.
"I will show you, soon, hopefully, of the genius you possess, though I'm not sure how long it will take..." Adam admitted, but with that, he greeted all the children, hugging even his small cousins, and his cousins, who should have remained small, and since they bullied him by growing up so quickly, he lifted each of them up one by one, although they tried to make themselves heavier for him, and Vonda, too, stood, but thankfully the children were going to make their way to schooling, so they did not complain much. ‘How dare you all grow up so much…’
