Chapter 1034: Chapter 429: Reentering the Realm of Reason (Part 3)

But what caught Wu Chang’s attention even more was the spiral mark at the center of the wealthy knight’s shield, a spiral formed by two intertwining arcs, wider at the bottom and narrower at the top.

Wu Chang had seen this mark before. One arc represented the World, and the other represented the human Soul, forming a spiral that symbolized using the soul to fully perceive the world and merge with it. It was the symbol of the Bliss Sect.

The wealthy knight landed within twenty meters of the two. As soon as he hit the ground, he drew out a gem longsword and pointed it at them, speaking unceremoniously:

"You two, no, that woman, are you an Ascender from the Desolate Realm? There’s a requirement from above; all new Ascenders must undergo an inspection. Come with me."

Wu Chang frowned at the overbearing declaration that all new Ascenders must go with him.

How is it that, after just a short time away, members of the three Evil God Sects dare to appear in the Realm of Reason so blatantly?

Detecting Wu Chang’s dissatisfaction, the wealthy knight’s gaze shifted from Julie to Wu Chang, asking in confusion:

"As for you, you appear here without a Realm Barrier. What are you? I’m giving you one minute to explain, or you’ll die."

The appearance of the wealthy knight made Julie, who had just completed her Ascension, tense. She sensed from him the same aura of the Realm of Reason and an overwhelming pressure she couldn’t resist.

Instantly, she could discern that the opponent was unbeatable.

Wu Chang had sent her to the Upper Realm, so now it was her turn to protect Wu Chang.

Julie quietly said to Wu Chang, "The other party is very strong, and I’m no match. Stay close to me, and I’ll find a chance to help you escape."

Julie’s small actions did not escape the wealthy knight’s notice, and he said coldly, "What are you two whispering about? You, the guy from the Desolate Realm, you have thirty seconds left."

Wu Chang clicked his tongue, thinking that by gauging the aura, the wealthy knight was akin to Xu Dejun in strength, perhaps even slightly inferior. To be threatened by such a small fry... did he not care about losing face?

He stepped forward, standing in front of Julie, and said, "I am Peace."

The wealthy knight’s mouth twitched slightly, "I asked you to state your affiliation, which force you’re from, who cares about your name... "

"Wait, Peace?" ℯ

The combination of information about a Desolate Realm player, appearing in the Realm of Reason, and being known as Peace suddenly triggered something in the wealthy knight’s memory.

His face changed drastically, raising his left hand shield; he turned to flee.

But as soon as he took a step, he stepped into a pool of water. His Realm Barrier couldn’t withstand even for a moment; the next instant, he sank in and disappeared.

Wu Chang nonchalantly withdrew the Blind Abyss and said to Julie:

"No need to worry. Her Ladyship Kristen asked me to follow in case of such situations."

Julie replied dazedly, "Ah? Oh, thank you."

Watching the wealthy knight disappear, her gaze suddenly cleared, and the sense of superiority that came after her Ascension vanished completely.

What was the evolution in entering the Realm of Reason, when evolution seemed invisible?

She cautiously looked at Wu Chang. Clearly, he hadn’t Ascended yet, but he could so effortlessly deal with such a formidable opponent. How strong was he really?

After the small incident, Julie’s previously inflated mindset due to the Ascension grounded itself once more.

She took out the horn given to her by Kristen. The horn floated in mid-air, rotating in place twice before pointing eastward.

"Sean, the True God said the horn would guide us."

Wu Chang used his talent of Condensing Void into Reality to conjure the small flying device previously piloted by Xu Dejun, and together with Julie, they headed east as indicated by the horn.

This trip was not just about escorting someone; he also needed to meet with Xu Dejun and others, intending to keep a low profile along the way.

In the wilderness area, he encountered not only one group of characters like the wealthy knight. If there were many, he would avoid them using Inspiration and Spatial Domain; if there was just one, he’d casually toss them into the Blind Abyss, to keep the wealthy knight company.

It wasn’t just the Bliss Sect intercepting new Ascenders; he also saw members of the Peaceful Sect and many ordinary Realm players without any symbols.

The horn’s direction led them to a hidden ruin at the boundary between the wilderness and the controlled area.

If they flew over it from high above, they would surely not notice this ruin, thinking it was like other buildings swallowed by Abyssal Erosion.

But as the horn appeared above the ruin, a hidden light gate materialized in front of the ruin.

Wu Chang remembered Xu Dejun saying that as long as they conquered an eroded area within a controlled zone, that area could be converted into a conqueror’s private space.

But such a private space wasn’t safe; it might be assaulted by other players. Currently, the Revelation Base was disguising its private space to evade attacks from the Four Major Organizations and other Evil God Cults.

A masked middle-aged man emerged from the light gate, addressing Wu Chang:

"Mr. Peace, it’s an honor to meet you. Her Eminence, the True God, has already bestowed divine enlightenment, granting you access to this private space at any time."

Wu Chang recognized the masked man; he was Yan Xin, Yu Na’s predecessor, who formerly presided over the Xia Country’s Revelation as Archbishop.

He nodded at Yan Xin and then said to Julie:

"I have other matters to attend to. I’ll drop you off here. If you encounter any danger, remember to reach out to me."

Watching Julie follow Yan Xin into the private space, Wu Chang activated the flying device, heading toward the coordinates Xu Dejun had previously provided.

The Crimson Courtyard in the current Realm of Reason, the living environment of the Order Sect, wasn’t any better than that of the Evil God Cults. The place aligned with the coordinates he’d arrived at was also a discreetly hidden private space, even more secretive than the Revelation Base he just visited.

He sent a message to Xu Dejun, waited a few minutes, and Xu Dejun opened a tunnel, gesturing for Wu Chang to enter.

Following the tunnel downward, symbolically taking a dozen steps down, he opened an iron door at the end, arriving in a beautifully decorated reception room.

Without waiting for Xu Dejun in the reception room to speak, he preemptively opened the Blind Abyss, dumping out the three players soaking inside.

"We’ll discuss other matters later; rescue these people first. These guys have weak willpower; if you act too slowly, their Will might collapse, turning them into madmen."
