Ved no longer had the chance to test out his new and improved formless shift but at least he had it now.

Plus it appeared even more impressive than he originally believed it would be. " Can I ask you a question?" He asked Fenral.

" Go ahead your highness." Fenral expected a question related to the war or cultivation or something.

" If you were fighting somebody and then they send parts of their bodies to the dream realm or just their entire body leaving a projection outside, would you be able to harm them?"

Fenral was not an idiot, he knew Ved had comprehended dream laws to a high extent, he was probably trying to figure out if he can them against Sovereigns.

But he didn’t expose him, " It would depend, if our comprehension of our respective laws are not too far apart then no.

However if they’re not Sovereigns themselves then yes, even if they transfer their bodies to the dream, they would leave a lingering aura behind.

Sovereigns can travel between the different dimensions with some effort but attacking through the dimensional walls is quicker.

As long as there’s a lingering aura leading there, we can send a potion of our will thus attacks through it."

" I’m still confused, how would a lingering aura allow you to breach the walls between realms?" Ved asked.

" Travelling between realms is like a higher version of teleportation. When you teleport you leave a mark in space.

Like a wormhole, it’s invisible and intangible to others but to those with a space law, it’s a physical thing.

They can use it to chase after you or even attack you through it, if the difference in power is too great.

Even those without a space law like myself can easily track you down using this wormhole.

However even if somebody has a space law, if your comprehension is much higher, they won’t be able to track you.

Sometimes they wouldn’t even be able to tell you had used teleportation at all, the same thing goes with traveling between realms.

The realms, the mortal realm, the dream realm, mystic realm etc are all overlaying over each other.

Each realm touching every single one but separated by an invisible and incredibly powerful wall."

Ved tried to picture that but it made no sense, " That doesn’t make sense, how could all the realms be touching each other.

Shouldn’t one realm be touching two at most if they’re overlapping?" He asked in a confused voice.

Fenral giggled revealing his massive wolf teeth. " Your highness is thinking three dimensionally.

If we were to talk in terms of space then every dimension would occupy the same space but that isn’t true.

The dimensions exist on a higher plane, that includes higher dimensions like the Celestial realm, Hell and even the land of the endless dunes.

Travelling between these realms causes the walls to temporary weaken and create something akin to a hole in them.

Those much stronger than you can use these holes you leave behind to attack you, naturally their attacks will be much weaker."

" It still doesn’t make any sense but okay I guess." Ved answered.

" Do not worry your highness, you’ll understand everything one day when you become a God." Fenral answered with confidence.

" You sound very confident that I’ll become a God." Said Ved.

" Indeed, we know with certainty that you will, even if it costs us our lives we will ensure it, all of us."

Ved grew quiet, " Can I ask another question, why do you and the others have so much confidence in me.

I saw it on Anglomesh’s eyes, he seemed to place even more importance on me than he did his own descends.

It can’t just be because I’m a divine dragon or the successor of the ancient beast king can it?" Ved asked.

He always found the importance they placed on him too strange, it was as if they were treating him like he was the biological son of the beast king.

No, even the biological son of a king wouldn’t be treated with such importance, they thought he didn’t know.

But Ved knew that he had somebody trailing behind him almost all the time, at first it was either one of lady Soran’s daughter or lady Kitsune’s children.

As for why they let him be in danger and not interfere, he had no idea, perhaps they had too confidence in him.

Either way, he appreciated their hands off approach most of the time but sometimes he really wished they would step in.

Unfortunately he only discovered that recently after he reached late stage of comprehension realm.

After all it was not easy sensitive creation realm spiritual beasts with a stealth type lineage and bloodline abilities.

Otherwise Ved would’ve asked for their help many times before, he couldn’t do it now, his newly upgraded dragon pride won’t let him.

As he was lost in his thoughts he felt Fenral’s gaze on him. Ved expected him to answer but Fenral said nothing.

" We’ll be arriving soon." A trip that took Ved hours before was covered by Fenral in seconds.

The difference in their speed was staggering but it made sense, Sovereigns were fast enough to reach the edges of a universe.

Ved didn’t even know how fast somebody had to be to do that, he certainly couldn’t, not with his speed.

Even if he did eventually, he probably would’ve ran out of lifespan by then, he wasn’t immortal after all.

They landed back at base and Fenral took to the skies, " Prepare yourself your highness, there will be a battle soon."

Ved nodded and flew to Naledi’s place or rather their place, Naledi wasn’t there but he did find a human girl.

" Greetings lord Ved, the lady asked me to tell you she left with her master for training should you return first." The young woman told him.

Although she looked young she was at level 6, Ved really doubted she was young, she could be a thousand years old.

" How old are you?" He found himself asking before he realised it but he was too prideful to take it back.

The woman raised her eyebrows and gave him a strange look. " That’s a rude question to ask a woman you uncultured brat."

He heard a voice behind and space twisted, out came Naledi and her master Elena. Naledi smiled upon seeing him.

" Good to see you." He greeted her.

Ved lowered his head at her, " Good to see you too." She leaned on his snout and gently rubbed his scales.

" Alright I’m leaving, watching you love birds is nauseating, remember to prepare yourself Naledi, things won’t be easy this time."
