Ved responded with a claw, he grabbed the fist and pulled the gorilla towards himself, the demonic beast couldn’t react in time.

Otherwise he would’ve been too weak to do basically anything to defend himself should another enemy come along.

He figured no sovereign rank demonic beasts should show up but even a rank 8 demonic beast would be an issue right now.

’ I could probably use my king’s authority to stop them from attacking and as long as I don’t attack myself, I should be fine.’

After he came to that conclusion, he sighed with relief and no longer felt as insecure being here.

He could order them to fight an enemy or to protect him but he couldn’t order to die ot stand still while being attacked.

As long as the order isn’t blatantly sending them to their deaths then it would work, as such.

He couldn’t order rank 8 demonic beasts to fight a sovereign as that was no different from suicide.

No matter how many demonic beasts there were as numbers no longer mattered against those monsters.

Ved found a secluded place between mountains and started eating. With his massive body.

While they do regenerate on their own, that regeneration is limited and couldn’t heal everything.

At some point if he continues damaging his dragon cords he might never be able to use dragon magic again.

He looked down at the bones and then ate them too then he checked his status.

Demonic beasts were not like other races who can actively cultivate, their growth depended on their bloodlines.

Unless they got lucky but this also meant very few of them can reach level 8 and at minimum must be legendary grade.

Even amongst them, many die long before reaching rank 8 and as for the sovereign realm.

Only demonic beasts who are mythical in grade have a high chance, the chances for legendary grade are lower and depended mostly on luck.

Only divine grade demonic beasts have the certainty of reaching the sovereign realm in their lifetime, if they don’t die too soon that is.

The cenote was merely an entrance to the underground lake and deep inside the lake he could feel a tremendous aura.

It felt like an early stage rank 8 demonic beasts. Ved unfolded his wings and dived but just before he touched the water Fenral appeared.

Ved stopped, " What can I help you lord Fenral?" He asked, Fenral didn’t seem too happy to be addressed by lord by Ved.
