Panic exploded in Trinity’s chest. She rose so fast that she stumbled backward. Her eyes were wide with both shock and fear. She squeezed her eyes, clenching her fists, summoning her connection to the energy within her soul. As long as she teleported away, her life would be saved.

Achilles laughed. "Scrunched faces, lips pressed together so tightly like two stubborn neighbors refusing to greet each other. Bulging eyes that are darting left and right..." He covered his mouth and laughed mockingly. "Oh Trini, don’t tell me that you are trying to ditch us by teleporting out of here."

Hardly had he finished, when Arrow landed a sharp slap on Trinity’s cheek.

While Trinity winced, and her eyes welled with tears, Arrow cackled. "Holy shit!" He jumped high, like a player in a game of basketball. "Did you see that Achilles? I slapped the Divine Soul maiden!" He spun around in circles, laughing like a hyena that had been dozed with laughing gas. "I slapped the Divine Soul maiden." He repeated, loudly.

He repeated it three times, with each turn louder than the previous one.

Arrow shook his head and rolled his eyes. He couldn’t see the cause for the excitement. It was just one slap! This was like setting off fireworks after your kid brought home a ’C’ grade.

When Arrow looked at Trinity again, his eyes were glistening with deadly desires. Like he wanted to do more than just slap her. He wanted to cause her pain.

Trinity stepped back slowly, "Don’t come near me." She screamed. "How dare you? How dare you lay your low born hand on me? Do you know who I am? I am the Divine Soul maiden. I am literally the highest ranked authority figure in the world. There is a beast horde outside right now. If I don’t go out and calm it, all of us are dead. The Somnivores are back. I am humanity’s hope and---"

Arrow used fast steps to reach her, cutting her off with two slaps. He put a gun to her head, breathing deeply in her face. "Nothing will make me feel good like seeing the color of the Divine maidens blood. You are so special, after all. Is your blood blue or red?"

Trinity squeezed her eyes, tears falling rapidly from the corners. "Wait! Don’t shoot! Money? I have billions of energy stones at my residence or is it resonance stones that you prefer....I have those too. I will give you something better... Land! I’ll give you acres in my newly conquered holy city in the wild lands. I can make you wealthier than nations! I can tell you the truth about an alien ship. A truth that will change your destiny. What do you say?"

"Sounds good but I would rather remain loyal to the one true divine maiden. Her offer is much better than yours." Arrow replied casually. "It also helps that I don’t hate her."

Before Trinity could make anymore juicy offers, Arrow plunged a large syringe right into her neck.

Trinity blinked, her eyes rolling into the back of her head. "You... dirty... low-born..." She collapsed onto the floor, in an unconscious state.

Achilles shook his head. "For a moment there, I thought you were going to shoot her."

Arrow safely capped the syringe and tucked it into his suit pocket. "I am an assassin, Achilles. I do what I am paid to do and killing her was the last option. That shot I have given her was meant to knock out a King Beast. She won’t be waking up until we decide that she needs to."

Achilles put Trinity in a beast pocket. They stepped out of the locker room and dashed back toward the stadium field to join the fight.

In one of the corners of the stadium, on a broken pavement, Leif was not celebrating anymore.

This was supposed to be a quick victory! The ferocious King beasts were supposed to wipe out as many humans as possible, crush their spirit, and leave the new world in chaos! But now, some random woman draped in green scales was riding a flying Emperor Beast, casually turning his beast army into fried bacon!

"Where did she come from?!" Leif screamed into the wind, "Who in this world has that kind of power? Where did she get these Emperor beasts?"

Gritting his teeth, Leif pulled out three Stasis Prisms from his bag and activated them. "Go! an attack them all! Kill that damn woman!"

The beasts growled like they understood everything that Leif had said, they advanced toward the battlefield.

Zyra wiped sweat from her forehead as more beasts joined the battle. Down below, innocent people and crying children were getting trapped in the crossfire.

"Beauty, I need the source of these beasts right now!" Zyra yelled in her mind. "They aren’t coming through the veil, or alarms would be going off city wide."

[Analyzing energy signatures... Host dozens of stasis prisms have been detected. But all of them lack heat signatures, meaning they are empty.]

"So, in short, someone has deliberately released king beasts to attack people!" Zyra said as she tossed her dagger at one of the hounds that the bats were fighting with. "This has Somnivore written all over it."

[Host, you must be right because I have spotted a beast man exiting the stadium.] The system said as an image of the beast man appeared on the screen in her head.

"Is he Orakuns like the one you killed?" Zyra asked.

[Host, Orakuns is the known universal name for what you humans call the Somnivore.]

Zyra shook her head to dispel the questions in her head about the new information, she was already planning to pursue this alien. She had killed an Orakuns before, and she was not afraid to kill another.

Her eyes drifted down toward the central ring where Hunter and the grand elder had been fighting.

The ring was completely gone. A big, ten-ton Elephant Beast had literally kicked the entire stone platform into a mountain of rubble.

"Dear heavens!" Zyra prayed as her eyes searched but not fast enough. "System find Hunter! Quick!" Zyra ordered.

A red tracking screen flashed in her mind, locking onto a location near the collapsed pillars where the VIP boxes once rose from ground up.

What she saw made her heart drop into her stomach. Hunter had removed his armor. She guessed he had given it to his grandfather.

A gorilla grabbed Hunter’s right arm and snapped it like a dry toothpick. He let out a gut-wrenching scream.

Before Hunter could recover, a figure darted out from behind the gorilla. It was Elliot. His face was twisted with maniacal glee, metallic knuckle-blades glowing with foul aura.

Elliot mercilessly plunged his knuckle-knives directly into Hunter’s ribs, over and over again.

"NOOOOOOO!" Zyra’s scream tore through the entire stadium.

Uncontrollable, suffocating soul energy exploded from her body. The sheer weight of her anger resonated with the Drake beneath her. The flying beast shrieked in absolute rage, releasing a massive, wave of blue shockwaves outward. Every single flying monster in a two-mile radius had its brain fried instantly, plummeting out of the sky like dead flies.

Zyra raised the spear and threw it with all her strength! The spear cut through the air like a meteor, flying across the entire field and striking Elliot right in the heart! The force was so absurdly violent that the spear didn’t just pierce him_ it impaled him through the back, dragging his body through the air and pinning him hard against a stone wall twenty feet away!

Elliot spit out a mouthful of blood, gasping like a fish out of water.
