Beast Bonding System: Cutting Ties In A Post Apocalyptic World.
Chapter 321: Find Hunter.
Lita glared daggers at her. "First of all, you are not a doctor so you cannot tell if I am pregnant or not just by molesting me. Now, mind your own business and get out of my way because I have things to do." She shoved Teddy back. "Not all of us rely on seducing old men to get ahead. Some of us actually work."
Down near the indoor fountain in the foyer, Andrea put her wine glass on the edge of the fountain, and walked up to them, eyes gleaming with curiosity. "What condition?" she asked, her eyebrows raising. "What are you two discussing? My sister-in-law wouldn’t happen to be carrying the plague that is going around, would she?"
Teddy clapped her hands, acting like a proud, joyous mother overflowing with love. "Lita is pregnant!" she announced triumphantly, loudly, as if she wanted the whole house to overhear.
A porcelain vase slipped straight through Loveline’s hands, shattering into a hundred pieces on the floor. Colorful flowers scattered around. Loveline stood frozen, her face turning pale as paper. Her heart shattered into even smaller pieces than the vase. She had been married for almost five whole years without producing a single heir, and now Lita, who had barely been married in for two months was pregnant?! The sheer unfairness of it hit her like a physical blow, adding a mountain of misery onto her shoulders.
Andrea turned her gaze toward Lita, who was currently standing still with a forced, twitching smile that looked more like a facial spasm.
"She’s speaking total nonsense!" Lita declared loudly, waving her hands around frantically. "Nothing has been confirmed, I am just feeling ill. She’s making things up because my breasts are tender. But my breasts react this way during my periods, which teddy would know if she was truly my mother. But she is not, so she doesn’t know."
Andrea smiled smoothly, a cold, calculating gleam in her eyes. "Well, even if it hasn’t been confirmed, we should check and make sure your health is at peak, shouldn’t we?" She gestured toward a plush armchair. "Have a seat, Lita. The family doctor will be here in just ten minutes."
Lita’s spirit instantly deflated. Miserable and trapped, she dragged her feet over to the sofa and sat down, staring blankly at the floor while her mind raced for an escape route that didn’t exist.
True to Andrea’s word, the doctor arrived precisely ten minutes later. He placed a silk cushion under Lita’s wrist, closed his eyes, and rested his fingers on her pulse point.
Silence descended over the lounge.
A minute later, the doctor opened his eyes, bowed deeply toward Andrea, and smiled. "Congratulations, ma’am. The pulse is smooth and slippery like rolling pearls. I don’t even need a pregnancy test to confirm that the young mistress is indeed pregnant. Bring her to the hospital for a full body checkup."
Andrea let out a ringing laugh of pure joy, clapping her hands together. "Wonderful! Ha! At least there is finally some good news in this house!"
Meanwhile, Lita sat frozen on the sofa, feeling as if the sky itself had just collapsed right onto her head.

Meanwhile, Elliot was at the headquarters of the Salt Deer faction, pacing like a caged beast that had just stepped on a thumbtack.
He slammed both hands onto his oak desk and roared at the crowd of black-robed assassins bowing before him. "What are you all standing around for?! Flip the desert upside down! Dig three feet into the dirt! Even if you have to turn over every rock and interrogate every saw worm, find Hunter!"
"Yes, Sir." the hunters chorused in unison. They scattered like startled crows, vanishing through the windows and doors in a flurry of dark cloaks.
Elliot’s chest heaved. His blood was boiling so hot he felt like he was about to burst right then and there. Hunter was alive. Hunter. The thought alone made his teeth grind so hard they sounded like millstones.
Mason slowly walked over to the corner fridge, popped it open, and pulled out a ice-cold beer. He cracked it open with a satisfying pop and took a long, lazy sip, smacking his lips.
"Elliot," Mason said, leaning against the wall with an irritatingly relaxed posture. "You need to cool your jets. Keep your head clear, man. If you go into the tournament with this kind of blind fire raging inside you, you won’t even make it past the first round. You’ll get slapped out of the ring by some weakling."
Elliot’s sanity snapped. With a wild sweep of his arm, he shoved everything off his desk. Files, half-eaten snacks, and teacups shattered across the floor. He grabbed his front hair with both hands, tugging so hard he almost pulled his own roots out.
"Cool my jets?!" Elliot yelled, his voice cracking. "Do you have any idea what this means? Not only is he alive but Hunter also got his hands on these rare supplies I have been looking for. The bastard probably knows who the seller is." He threw his hands in the air, cursing at the ceiling. "Hunter is one lucky son of a bitch! How does he keep surviving and winning? Did Heaven personally build a golden road for him to walk on?"
Mason sucked his teeth, making a sharp tch sound. He took another sip of his beer and shrugged. "Come on, don’t jump to conclusions yet. That Dravin could be spouting nonsense just to get a paycheck. He didn’t have a picture of Hunter or anything to prove your brother was there. Even if Hunter did go there with those things, maybe he just bought them from the black market like everyone else."
"No! Absolutely impossible!" Elliot shouted back, his eyes bloodshot. "Dravin wouldn’t lie to me. Even if Hunter isn’t the mysterious manufacturer himself, he could know the source. What are the odds that Achilles and Hunter both got their hands on such supplies? They have always been thick as thieves those two, when we were young. Achilles is a businessman; Hunter is a hunter. They must know the supplier while I am being treated like a fool."
Just as Elliot was about to kick his fallen chair across the room, a sharp, cheerful melody chimed from his pocket.
Elliot snatched his phone out and pressed it to his ear like he was holding a live grenade. "What?!" he barked.
"Hello to you too," Andrea’s voice came through the speaker, sounding a bit hesitant. "I’m calling from the hospital. Congratulations! You wife is pregnant!"
Silence descended upon the room.
Elliot froze. His jaw unhinged. "What did you say?"
