Gong Ruini lay in the bathtub and almost wanted to sing with joy.

"So comfortable." After getting in, Gong Ruini let some water out of the bathtub and used her fingers to splash some space water out.

These years, although the space didn’t expand, Gong Ruini had gotten much more adept at using it.

There was no need to enter to get something to eat; just a thought, and the desired item would come out.

Unfortunately, after planting for so many years, it was only some unremarkable fruits for occasional use. As for the ginseng that was unintentionally planted early on, it grew quite well,

but no matter how well it grew, she couldn’t bring it out.

Why? It seemed to grow rather rapidly and was of the wild ginseng variety.

Initially, Gong Ruini was aiming to get rich and understood wild ginseng very well.

Because she understood it so well, she knew this thing couldn’t see the light of day, lest it become an object of research for someone.

Wild Centennial Ginseng is valuable, but she wasn’t lacking money.

There’s no way she would risk exposing herself just for a little money.

Soaking in the bath and snacking on space fruit, whether it was her own psychological response or just the feeling of relaxation, she felt especially good. Overall, she truly felt at ease.

When Gong Ruini was happy, she’d naturally sing a line or two.

Zhao Xuran, writing his diary in the bedroom, couldn’t help but smile hearing the singing from the bathroom.

"Looks like my wife is in a good mood today."

Of course, her singing hadn’t improved over the years. It wasn’t that awful wailing kind; it felt more like reading without variation in tone.

But Zhao Xuran wouldn’t say this, as his wife knew her singing wasn’t great. She would usually avoid singing if she could.

"Today truly is a great day." Zhao Xuran wrote the last word and put the diary into the desk drawer.

Zhao Xuran waited a long while but didn’t see Gong Ruini come out. "Ni Zi."

"Ni Zi, are you asleep?" Not hearing his wife’s singing made Zhao Xuran anxious.

Even though the house had heating, after such a long time, the bath water would have gotten cold.

Gong Ruini had indeed dozed off and woke up quickly when Zhao Xuran called her.

"Coming, coming." She mustn’t let Zhao Xuran know she fell asleep in the tub; who knows how long he’d nag about it.

Gong Ruini climbed out of the bathtub, turned on the hot water, intending to add some to the bath.

Zhao Xuran was particularly attentive. He’d seize the chance to feel the water temperature while helping with the water.

"Don’t even think about adding hot water." Hearing the sounds from the bathroom, Zhao Xuran could imagine she was probably rushing to add hot water.

How did he know? Gong Ruini was stunned. Since he had guessed, why bother?

Moreover, if the faucet was left running for hot water, it would become hot to the touch, and Zhao Xuran would find out anyway.

Then the blame would be more severe, and without thinking, Gong Ruini decided it was better to admit her mistake.

Gong Ruini quickly put on her clothes, "I was just a bit tired earlier."

"I thought it was too comfortable lying there." Coming out, she grabbed onto Zhao Xuran’s sleeve, admitting her mistake.

Looking up with an innocent expression, she appealed to Zhao Xuran, "I was really tired."

"I promise never to do it again." Admitting her mistake, she promised not to repeat it.

As to whether she would make a mistake again, Gong Ruini dared not promise. Anyway, every time she made a mistake, she would admit it and promise not to repeat it.

Gong Ruini truly didn’t worry about how Zhao Xuran would react. Given her current situation, she was the focus of protective love, comparable to a giant panda.

If Zhao Xuran dared make a move on her, others would step in before she even had to act.

"If you don’t give me anything to scold you over, I won’t have to." Zhao Xuran felt helpless.

Does Ni Zi really see him as unreasonable?

"Ahhh." Gong Ruini was dumbfounded; it was really her inner thoughts, and yet she had been silly enough to say it out loud.

Isn’t it said that pregnancy makes you silly for three years?

"Alright, time for bed." Zhao Xuran said helplessly, as his wife seemed to be getting more childish.

Right now, Zhao Xuran was truly looking forward to see if once the daughter was born, Ni Zi would vie for attention alongside the child.

Suddenly remembering, back in Northeast when everyone went out, leaving Gong Ruini alone to look after Ban Xia and the others,

Ban Xia and the children, usually well-behaved, had cried and fussed all over the place that day; Ni Zi couldn’t soothe them and also started crying hysterically with them.

Zhao Xuran remembered when they heard Gong Ruini’s sobbing from the door, they thought something terrible had happened and rushed inside.

Seeing Gong Ruini sitting by the bed, crying her heart out, while the twins stared at her, their eyes wide open.

Luckily, the twins were just babies and didn’t remember this; otherwise, Zisu might often bring it up.

Alright, is this matter over? Gong Ruini wanted to jump for joy but seeing Zhao Xuran’s helpless expression, "Hey, what are you thinking?"

That look, he must be thinking about her embarrassing moments.

"Thinking about when you looked after Ban Xia and the others..." He hadn’t wanted to say it, but since she insisted, he didn’t mind letting her relive the past.

Isn’t this guy doing it on purpose? Gong Ruini was so angry she was hopping mad, "Hmph, drop it, I was a kid back then."

All black history, all black history. If she could, Gong Ruini honestly wished to erase this episode from their minds.

Each of them promised confidentiality but couldn’t resist mentioning it once or twice annually, which apparently soothed them.

"I would have thought you were a decent person, not like Guang Ran." Gong Ruini was angry, giving Zhao Xuran a series of heavy snorts.

These days, even one’s man isn’t reliable.

Is the wife angry? Zhao Xuran watched her nest into the already laid bed angrily and felt like saying, "Wife, you are getting cuter."

But he held back, having just angered Ni Zi quite a bit. If he said that, she might not rest, choosing instead to argue.

"Ni Zi, don’t leave me alone in the bed." Zhao Xuran saw his wife, like a little silkworm baby, snuggled up completely in the blankets and felt helpless.

"Alright, alright, my mistake." Zhao Xuran crouched in front of Gong Ruini, continually assuring her he wouldn’t make the same mistake.

Hmph, the words sounded imposed, sounded sincere, but would she believe it?

Absolutely not. Next time he’ll again bring it up.

She turned away from Zhao Xuran, allowing her head to peek out of the blanket.

Not giving him face, but staying entirely under the covers, she couldn’t breathe fresh air, which was bad for both her and the baby.
