Awakening Elementary School System in University
Chapter 251 - 190: A Valuable Entry Point
Chapter 251: Chapter 190: A Valuable Entry Point
Robert shook his head.
"Four months is too short."
"We haven’t even had time to fully grasp the most basic information, like his family background, upbringing, personality traits, and social circles."
"Let alone the deeper stuff, like his political leanings, his values, or where his weaknesses lie."
As Robert spoke, his tone was tinged with annoyance.
"Honestly, if I’d known Chen Lin would become this important, I would have put him on the high-priority watchlist the first time he published a paper in JAMS."
"But back then, who could have known?"
He gave a bitter laugh.
"A Huaxian undergraduate publishing a math paper in a top-tier journal... while uncommon, it wasn’t enough to warrant an immediate deep background check."
"And so we missed our chance."
After hearing Robert’s words, the lazy smile on Alex Rothschild’s face didn’t fade in the slightest.
"Robert, I understand your concerns."
His tone was still relaxed, as if he were discussing some trivial matter.
"However, my advice is to engage with this Chen Lin while gathering intelligence simultaneously."
Alex sat up a little straighter, a sharp glint flashing in his azure eyes.
"We don’t have the luxury of time right now."
He paused, then continued:
"Our family’s senior advisory team has conducted a detailed analysis of Chen Lin’s publicly available information."
"Their conclusion is that this Chen Lin has already reached a terrifyingly high level of mathematical proficiency."
"Moreover, judging by his performance in just the few months from July until now, the frequency at which he produces major results is far beyond what anyone could imagine."
Alex’s tone grew increasingly solemn.
"We must be prepared."
"If Chen Lin continues to make big moves, we need to get the information first and react immediately."
"Otherwise, by the time the news spreads to the public, trying to contact and influence him will become exponentially more difficult."
At this point, Alex abruptly changed the subject, his gaze falling on the gorgeous, blonde Elena Caroline in the conference window.
"So, on that front, I believe Lady Caroline should have the most to say, shouldn’t she?"
His tone carried a knowing smile.
Upon hearing this, Elena Caroline’s exquisite face showed no sign of surprise at being suddenly called upon.
She simply raised an eyebrow slightly, an elegant smile playing on her lips.
Clearly, she had known all along she would be singled out in today’s meeting.
Just then, Robert Stone suddenly spoke up again.
"Wait, I’d like to add something."
He cleared his throat, his gaze also landing on Elena’s video feed.
"Lady Caroline, regarding the matter of contacting Chen Lin, I have a suggestion you might consider."
Elena nodded slightly, gesturing for him to continue.
Robert gathered his thoughts and said slowly:
"There are vast differences in education regarding the sexes between Huaxia and the Beautiful Country."
"Traditional Huaxian educational philosophy, especially in junior and senior high school, places very strict restrictions on interactions between male and female students."
"This leads to a very interesting phenomenon. Huaxian male university students, particularly high-achieving STEM students who focus on their studies and lack much social experience, are generally repressed when it comes to the opposite sex."
He paused and added:
"Although Chen Lin is quite famous now and has considerable achievements, by age, he’s still just a junior in college."
"And according to the information we currently have, his social circle in university is very small."
"This type of person," Robert said, a knowing smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, "tends to have very little resistance when a woman takes the initiative."
"So, Lady Caroline, you might want to consider this angle."
After Robert finished, a brief silence fell over the conference call.
Several of the older investment banking executives revealed tacit, knowing smiles.
Evidently, Robert’s words had struck a chord with them.
After hearing Robert’s suggestion, a playful glint flashed through Elena Caroline’s jade-green eyes.
She smiled faintly and spoke in an elegant, unhurried tone:
"Thank you for the information, Mr. Stone."
"That is indeed a very valuable angle of approach."
She paused, then continued:
"On my end, I can certainly have someone try to make contact with this Chen Lin."
"As for the specific method, I will adjust according to the actual situation."
Elena’s words were vague, but everyone present understood her meaning.
Seated in the host’s position, Arthur Wayne nodded in satisfaction.
"Then it’s settled."
His tone became extremely solemn.
"Elena’s team will be responsible for making contact with and gathering intelligence on Chen Lin."
"If anything comes up, or if you need any resources or support, you can come directly to me."
"You’ll have my full cooperation."
Elena gave a slight nod, accepting the assignment.
Arthur glanced at the time, then at the pensive or grave faces in the conference call, and slowly began to speak:
"Alright, that’s all for today’s meeting."
"Finally, let me emphasize one more time."
His voice became incredibly serious.
"Everything discussed in this meeting today is highly confidential."
"No one is to disclose any of it to outsiders."
A ragged chorus of assent sounded from the conference call.
Arthur nodded, and then ended the meeting.
One by one, the portraits on the screen went dark.
Fred Mills sat in his office, staring at the now-black computer screen, lost in thought for a long time.
’The amount of information in this meeting was just staggering.’
’He needed time to process it all properly.’
But he was already certain of one thing—
in the coming days, the big shots on Wall Street were definitely going to make some big moves.
And he had to keep up with them, no matter what.
...
「November 7th, Friday.」
Jinmen, Yannan University Innovation Hub, Yanhai Consulting Company.
Chen Lin sat at his desk, his brow slightly furrowed as he stared at the half-finished algorithm optimization plan on his computer screen.
The past few days had been incredibly busy and fulfilling for him.
First, Xiang Wentian had actually recommended a Postdoctoral Researcher from the National Academy of Sciences Automation Institute.
When Chen Lin saw the resume, he was completely blown away.
This guy, Bai Qian, had been winning awards left and right in all sorts of national and international competitions since high school.
A gold medal in the National Olympiad in Informatics, champion of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest Asia Regional, a silver medal at the World Finals, a Red Coder in TopCoder competitions...
The string of accomplishments was absolutely blinding.
