Finally, Su Huan took out half of the two evolver battalions from Za Liangjian Guo, to assist various units in clearing the surrounding battlefield.

Just as Su Huan departed, a small-scale combat meeting was initiated within the United Command.

Immediately, someone questioned, "Why isn’t such an important matter discussed in an expanded meeting?"

Number Three countered, "According to the United Command’s regulations, only when there’s a disagreement between me and Marshal Geng will an expanded meeting be conducted with a vote. But right now, we have no disagreements."

General Shize looked at the Elder Marshal.

By seniority, Shize is comparable to Geng Shuo, even two years younger. If Geng Shuo had died in the last Pale Invasion event, he would likely have been the successor for the marshal position.

The Elder Marshal said expressionlessly, "I don’t agree with his reasoning, but I support his choice."

Shize’s expression was stunned, suppressing his anger, he said, "This is no child’s play. There’s still half a year until the next annual disaster. We could prepare more thoroughly..."

"The enemy might also be preparing!"

The Elder Marshal interrupted him mercilessly.

"But once the battle starts, it’s not something we can stop! If that lad runs away, or isn’t capable, what do we rely on to face the next annual disaster?!"

Shize slammed the table angrily and roared.

The Elder Marshal’s eyes showed a cold glint, while Number Three looked at the others, observing quite a few people agreed with Shize’s words.

Having the highest-ranked officer lead at the battlefield can stabilize morale, but the impact on the organizational structure is too great.

He and Geng Shuo can barely hold it down, but the next successor?

Will they be convinced?

The Elder Marshal did not explain, stood up coldly, and said, "Why, do you plan to defy orders?"

Shize’s face turned grim, and he walked out without a word, slamming the door loudly.

"What about the Northern Alliance?"

Someone asked.

Another general sneered, "The old rule, make them send half of their troops along, I’ll personally go and demand it. Dare they refuse?"

"Then there’s no problem."

Then everyone turned their gaze to Number Three, who slowly said, "Get ready."

Not getting the answer they wanted, someone sighed internally but still left quickly.

They have too many tasks to handle.

The room emptied, leaving only the Elder Marshal, Number Three, and the secretary.

The Elder slowly said, "No need to pressure him unduly. If you die, he still has to clean up the mess."

The Elder Marshal snorted coldly, "Giving him a chance is of no use."

The Elder ignored his grumpy old friend and turned to the secretary, who is practically a deputy; if not standing behind him, they should have had a seat at the meeting earlier.

Gently said, "This time, both Geng and I are going. So I’ll leave things here in your care."

The secretary’s face was heavy with what he wanted to say but was interrupted by the Elder, "Don’t give me those token words. Numbers One and Two haven’t returned. How would I come back? But don’t get too happy too soon either. If we fail to solve the issue, you’ll hold the position as Number Four for just a year, or even less..."

The Elder was unfazed by his upcoming demise but carried a hint of concern for the future.

Elsewhere, Shize had just stepped outside when the adjutant approached, handing over a file.

It featured a figure surrounded by flames, the air twisting from the intense heat, making anything barely visible. Shize frowned as he flipped the page, with the second photo showing thousands of charred bodies, still poised in the charging stance as they died. Both men and horses were burned into charcoal yet vividly lifelike. One could almost feel their devastating momentum during the charge when looking at the images.

"Is this an outsider evolver?"

The adjutant explained, "Just received the news, an evolver of at least Tier Three has been spotted in the east, but has yet to be reached."

Shize’s eyes gleamed as he firmly slapped the file in his hand.

"Excellent, this information came just in time!"

"Find a way to make contact immediately!"

"We cannot pin all hopes on just that one person!"

The adjutant hesitated, "Then this information..."

Shize resolutely said, "Do not intercept it, do not conceal anything, I want them all to know there’s not only Su Huan outside as a high-level evolver!"

...

Just as Su Huan had said, his battles were extremely dull.

Divided into two steps: first, find the enemy, and second, eliminate the enemy.

Due to Su Huan’s monstrous perception range, often they hadn’t even seen the enemy, Su Huan had already charged ahead and eradicated them.

If not for collecting materials and Pan-energy Crystals for them, they wouldn’t even see a single enemy corpse.

Su Huan’s unit was also fully equipped and came over, not only did they not revoke Su Huan’s division commander role, but they actually reinforced his troops. Now they truly constituted a full division’s standard, continuing the tradition of the 712 Composite Division, with a full complement of weapons.

During times of non-combat, Su Huan mingled with the troops. Za Liangjian Guo noticed Su Huan was in much better rapport with these soldiers compared to interacting with them.

Within a few days, several surrounding armies became aware of Su Huan’s presence.

Inviting him to train their troops during the day and to drink at night.

In contrast, Za Liangjian Guo’s group of official Eternal Night Military evolvers was respectfully set aside.

During this time, Su Huan wasn’t idle, especially regarding those evil anomalies lurking in the wilderness. He virtually swept them clean; once inside Wanxiang, they shouldn’t dream of getting out.

Yet, close to half of Su Huan’s markings had dimmed; before resolving these evil anomalies, his mastery of rule abilities had to be halved.
