She arrived at the war preparation room, her team already geared up and ready to go. Zhengzi wanted to come forward when he saw Nut enter, but sensing the tangible aura from the Boss, he immediately halted, anxiously awaiting Nut’s command.

Nut glanced at everyone and spoke calmly, "This mission is very tough. Pack all your gear and get ready to set off immediately. Someone will come later to brief you on the specific mission details."

Zhengzi frowned slightly, "Then where are you going, Boss?"

Nut turned and walked towards the door, unquestionably ordering, "Follow orders!"

Outside the war preparation room, there’s a storage room containing weapons, most of which are captured from the battlefield, with a few crafted by the Academy of Sciences using special materials, each one individually named.

Only Evolvers of Tier Two and above have the privilege to enter alone.

The airtight door of three-layer materials opened, resembling a museum. Racks akin to altars were placed along the wall, each equipped with several spotlights and surveillance, and some even sealed directly, using all sorts of bizarre materials. Most eye-catching was a head with an ancient longsword embedded in it.

Seemingly sensing Nut’s presence, a suit of armor bound to the wall began to tremble.

But Nut didn’t glance at them, walking straight to the deepest part of the storage room. Two Curved Sabers were embedded on the table at the room’s end — exceedingly curved, with black hilts and blades. If not for the spotlights firmly locking on them, even the Evolvers might struggle to see them.

They came from a military general who broke in at the beginning of the apocalypse, uttering just one Roar before being melted by the cannon fire of several group armies on the spot. After the battle, these two sabers were found stuck in the ground, the blade warm to the touch, yet otherwise undamaged.

Nut took a deep breath and stepped forward to grasp the hilts.

The instant she held them, a stabbing pain radiated from the hilt. As she breathed, Nut felt like she had grown two special arms. When she brandished the saber, the rushing air didn’t feel like it was slicing past the blade but rather brushing over her skin.

Holding the sabers in reverse, their length slightly exceeding her arms, the shoulders exposed a segment of dangerous edge.

Distracting agitation surged from her heart, urging her to Roar involuntarily.

That’s the side effect of these sabers; they erode the mind. This pair has felled one ordinary soldier, one scientific expert from the academy, two Tier One Evolvers, and one Tier Two Evolver.

Yet, everyone exploded with combat power relatively strong compared to their own before death.

These sabers were thus named "Roar."

...

The only one left in the command center was the Elder Marshal.

He indulgently gave himself three breaths to calm his emotions.

Then he sternly began to issue commands, "Activate the anomalous biological threat response plan. Conduct battle simulation based on existing intelligence. The reconnaissance department is to initiate combat detection."

"Received, microwave radiometer activated, detecting regional thermodynamic anomalies. Atmospheric composition monitoring in progress."

"Bioelectric sensing array activated, no biological signals detected yet."

"Report! Minor disturbances in the geomagnetic field detected!"

"Detected high-energy particle stream anomaly!"

"Detection line experiencing unknown energy loss..."

Meanwhile, the Elder Marshal’s gaze remained locked on the map beneath his feet. The cannon fire’s damage to the Pale Demons was negligible but it somewhat disrupts their perception.

He observed one clearly targeted Pale Demon suddenly halting, like crashing and staying put.

Thus, he ordered, "Continue the fire coverage, leaving no gaps. Input all information for battle simulation, come up with a definite kill plan within ten minutes no matter what!"

"Received!"

"Received!"

Listening to the feedback from various departments, the Elder Marshal slightly adjusted the frame’s height. A blue dot emerged from the battlefield’s edge, feeble compared to the red dot that was the Pale Demon, yet it stabbed into the Marshal’s eyes like a knife.

...

Navigating through the Eternal Night, Nut could effortlessly avoid ground pitfalls even without any lighting. Her speed not only didn’t slow down but became swifter.

As a Tier Three "Night Huntress," she was far beyond merely adapting to the night; the night was her domain, her Domain!

In the night, her senses would magnify infinitely— even a mosquito flapping its wings— every action would be dissected by her sensory system and integrated. This perception extent could even reach a microscopic level.

Observing the structure and even the essence, she possessed an almost "foreseeing" ability in the shadows.

Foreseeing, it’s merely mastering every atomic dynamic change. According to the Academy’s researchers’ guesses, the legendary gods might be Tier Three Evolvers, and their so-called "omniscience and omnipotence" results from terrifyingly enhanced perception.

They use super developed "perception" to acquire environmental information, utilize instincts and the evolution-derived powerful "hardware" to process the information, ultimately forming prediction-like outcomes.

Though Tier Three Evolvers are far from being gods, they already possess the embryos of divinity.

Normal individuals hold no secrets before them because ordinary humans cannot precisely control their bodies, all the information is vulnerabilities before the Evolvers.

In a trance, Nut realized she had already arrived at the battlefield.

When her eyes closed, she sensed the locations of two Pale Demons.
