"Major General He Wei, your defense line is over a thousand kilometers away at Line 712. Why did you leave your post without reporting? Who is in charge of your command center, your troops, your frontline at this moment? I order you to explain immediately!"

A cold voice came from the direction of the trunk.

He Wei stood at attention and saluted. Although his breathing was uneven, his gaze was resolute. "I have important intelligence to report to Number Three in person. The situation is urgent, necessities take precedence, please help me contact Number Three."

The external speaker on the trunk paused for a moment, then switched to another voice, calmly saying, "You can speak now."

"No." He Wei frowned, firmly stating, "The matter is significant, I must report to Number Three face to face."

Recill listened impatiently to the two bickering, "Can't we just charge in directly?"

Marcus remained calm, "Such a long life should teach you the importance of patience."

"My precious life is not to be wasted in a place like this."

"It seems the lessons from the last incident weren't sufficient for you." Marcus finished speaking and turned to look at the dozen or so stealthy figures in the back, "Don't underestimate the wisdom of short-lives."

...

When He Wei appeared within the surveillance scope of the United Command Center, a squad of Evolvers was already gathering strength, ready for action.

They crawled out from the edge through a hidden passage, looping around to He Wei's rear.

The leader, a Tier Two Evolver, whispered, "The goal this time is capture. Boss Miscellaneous Grains has already given us an energy shield, which is our buffer time. If attacked, activate the Pan Energy Shield immediately. Don't worry about consuming the crystals; our value far exceeds these evolutionary resources."

"Regardless of whether the mission succeeds or fails, do not return to the United Command. I repeat, do not return!"

Everyone answered with silence.

Then, led by Captain Coarse Rice, they advanced towards He Wei's position.

While the squad was observing He Wei, two pale demons hovering in mid-air were also watching them.

"This adventurous squad has a balanced composition, but overall, their strength is much weaker than the squads outside."

Marcus commented, and as he finished speaking, he suddenly noticed someone look up at him. Although the person quickly looked down, that glimpse of panic betrayed him.

"They've spotted us!"

Recill's figure had already dashed out, and those warriors immediately scattered to retaliate with an array of evolutionary abilities—flames, frost, lightning, bullets—all aimed at Recill.

Then, regardless of the outcome, or the state of their comrades, they turned and ran, each running in a different direction.

But their speed was clearly not as fast as the demons gliding above ground. Almost instantly, Recill flew over to Captain Coarse Rice's head, the razor-sharp claws reaching for the top of his head.

Instead, it triggered a shield. Though this shield seemed as fragile as a bubble in front of a Tier Four's eyes, it still prompted Coarse Rice to activate the Pan Energy Shield.

Coarse Rice was not a Perception Evolver and couldn't see Recill, but the intense sense of crisis told him he had been targeted.

Watching the shield above his head shatter, the man showed no panic, only a calm readiness to face death.

Accompanied by sharp whistling sounds, hundreds of tactical missiles rose into the sky from all directions, converging toward this area. But this was only the beginning, as the complex strategic missiles began to "slowly" ascend, their propulsion flames distorting the air, lighting up the sky with fiery trails resembling a cage of flames, with the midpoint being precisely Recill's location.

Faced with such a grand onslaught, Recill merely exhaled two streams of white flames from his nostrils.

Human weapons, they had long since tested them; while powerful, they posed no real threat to beings of their Legendary Level strength.

Marcus didn't even glance, gliding over the ground like a ghost, heading straight for a specific area.

He Wei lay prone on the ground, bewildered by the sudden onslaught of battle.

...

The United Command Center had already entered emergency mode. All personnel near the surface descended to the depths of the Earth's crust via lifting platforms, airtight doors sealed layer upon layer, and the sounds of the wind, mechanical roars, even the staff's breathing, were swallowed by some sound-absorbing material surpassing conventional standards.

Metal corridors were intricately connected, each serving as a fulcrum, simulating a support structure within this underground space.

At the deepest level of the United Command, within a chasm known as the "Testing Canyon," a woman in camouflage slashed through a giant ant's waist with a single strike, twirled the blade, and decapitated the ant. Avoiding the ant's acrid acid spray, she leapt like a spider to the sides of the canyon.

The military knife in her hand easily embedded into the hard rock, hanging mid-air, she turned her head and shouted to the subordinates battling among the ant swarm below, "You guys play, I'm heading up first."

No longer supported by the strongest Tier Three Evolver, the pressure intensified for those below, resulting in cries of dismay.

With a kick, the woman stomped a notch into the rock adequate for leverage, taking several bounds, she burst out of the canyon teeming with evolved ants. The snapping sounds of angry ants climbing the walls were pervasive inside the canyon.

As soon as they surfaced, they were swept away by a barrage of heavy machine gun fire.

The canyon's edge had long been fortified into a barrier akin to a steel wall, forged from corrosion-resistant sturdy materials pieced together frugally into basic fortifications, atop which sat anti-aircraft-grade cannons and heavy machine guns.
