Chapter 865: Continue Killing

Bai Meiyue pursed her lips. She said to her brother, "Take me there. I will see what is going on." Bai Meiyue had a feeling that the man was not going to stop any time soon; since that was the case, she might as well deal with him once and for all. She had already given him a chance, but that man was not willing to accept such a good opportunity. Who could he blame if not himself?

Bai Zhan hesitated when he heard Bai Meiyue’s response. He wanted to stop her because he had a feeling that Bai Meiyue had been working way too hard since last night, but before he could stop her, the woman was already marching out of the room, without even glancing at him. When he saw that his sister had walked away without even looking at him, he chased after her right away. He was worried that Bai Meiyue would end up losing her temper, and that would not be good for anyone in the safe base.

He had seen what Bai Meiyue could do when she was angry and had no intention of seeing such a terrible sight ever again.

He quickly chased after her when Bai Zhan saw that Bai Meiyue was hurrying toward the watchtower. With one person marching toward the watchtower and the other one chasing after her, the two of them soon arrived at the watchtower. Bai Meiyue climbed up the stairs as fast as she could, and seeing her marching up like she was about to set someone on fire, Bai Zhan’s heart lunged to his throat.

He hurriedly said to her sister, "Calm down, calm down. There is no need to be in such a hurry." What if she ended up slipping? His mother would peel a layer of his skin if something happened to Bai Meiyue. After all, Bai Zhan was the one who told Bai Meiyue about Captain Xu. If his sister ended up hurting herself, then he was worried that his mother would never forgive him.

Bai Meiyue, however, did not calm down. She glanced at her brother behind her and then continued to move forward. She walked up the platform and looked at the cloud of dust that was still far from the safe base, but as long as she paid attention to the cloud of dust that was getting closer and closer, she knew that it was coming toward her. She narrowed her eyes and focused on the cloud of dust, and sure enough, she saw the vehicle heading over.

It was really Captain Xu.

Bai Meiyue, who was standing at the watchtower, could not help but sneer. It seemed like this man was really not going to stop. Since that was the case, then she would show what it meant to go crazy. Bai Meiyue immediately swallowed the energy from a few crystal nuclei and then raised her hand. A second later, a gigantic man appeared in front of Captain Xu’s convoy.

As the man stepped forward, a layer of thick ice started to spread all over, and the cars that were heading toward Bai Meiyue ended up slipping or freezing in the thick layer of ice. When Captain Xu saw that Bai Meiyue had pulled such a big move, he was stunned. He knew that Bai Meiyue was a powerful ability user, but he never thought that she was this skilled.

"Has this woman gone crazy?" What was she doing? Pulling such a big move on them. They might have gone a bit far with their teasing, but there was no need for her to kill them. He hurried out of the car when he saw that the thick layer of ice was getting out of control. If this went on, then they would end up being frozen to death inside the car.

He jumped out of the car and looked at the sight in front of him; what he saw stunned him. There were countless corpses of human-faced spiders piled up in a corner, but there was no harm done to the safe base; even the survivors whom he had abandoned were completly fine, and they were all looking at him with a look of sheer hatred.

Inexplicably, Captain Xu started to feel a little afraid. When he brought these human-faced spiders with him, he was sure that he would be able to deliver a big blow to Bai Meiyue, but he never thought that there was no damage inflicted on the safe base yesterday. Even the common survivors managed to survive!

When he saw the giant ice man walking toward him, with his club raised in the air, the man knew that things did not go down yesterday as he wanted. He immediately turned to look at the man behind him, and a circle of flames started to slowly surround them. Even Captain Xu started to give wind to the burning flames, causing the flames to rise higher and higher.

The two of them were strong ability users, but unfortunately for them, Bai Meiyue was much stronger than the two of them. Facing Bai Meiyue, their powers could not match. The thick ice layer continued to spread, and the giant ice man did not even stop in his path. He continued to march forward. With the club raised in the air, he headed straight toward their convoy.

Seeing this, Captain Xu could not help but panic. He had no idea that Bai Meiyue would be awake so early; if he had known that this woman was already awake, then he would have never come to cause trouble for her.

He was worried that the woman would kill him, so he rushed forward and, with a smile, said to Bai Meiyue, "I am sorry, Miss Bai. I am really sorry; I shouldn’t have pushed the joke too far. I apologise for causing such a trouble; it was my fault that I dragged you into such trivial matters. Miss Bai, please be merciful. As long as you are willing to let go of me today, I promise that I will never cause trouble for you in the future. I will even repay your favour in the future."
