The next day arrived. July 4, 2026.

Sun had fully risen, but Max was seen to be training the Neuromuscular Combat System in his terrace.

He had not taken a sleep yet. When he came out of the gaming pod, sunlight already gleamed through his window, surprising him.

He forgot that it was only last night he logged in and 12 hours had passed since then, morning had arrived.

Instead of taking a sleep, Max surprisingly found himself feeling invigorated.

As a result, he took the chance to train for an hour after putting sunscreen all over his face and body.

When he was finished, he was heavily perspiring. Instead of taking a sleep, Cassie informed him that Auntie Sarah had called them for breakfast, so he proceeded there right away.

After all, he wanted to know what was currently happening with Enzo.

He proceeded to the dining room and was relieved that Enzo was already present.

When he met Enzo’s eyes, he noticed how complex his gaze were.

As soon as he sat, he immediately strike a conversation with Enzo while moving his hands to the utensils and foods.

"You logged in yesterday?"

Enzo nodded. "Yeah. The game rewarded me with a Legacy Roulette. I didn’t know that you mere achievements benefits even me.

The game also recognized me, which is strange yet not."

Max paused. He was utterly shocked.

"When did the game rewarded you with a Legacy Roulette?"

"Before I get to choose which village to be teleported."

"Really?"

"Mhm."

Max couldn’t believe what he had just learned. He did not know that the game seemed to possess its own sentient, for it to reward Enzo because of his achievements.

Isn’t the game supposed to be neutral? Why is it being biased to my brother?

Max couldn’t find an answer.

While he was lost in his own thoughts, Enzo said, "That’s precisely why I choose the Frostmere Village instead of Greyfen Village."

Max furrowed his eyebrows. "What legacy did you receive?"

Enzo didn’t bother hiding from him. "It’s an SS-Class Legacy, Absolute Frost Deity."

Max was taken aback. He gazed at Enzo with his eyes sparkling with excitements.

He was animated. For Enzo to receive an SS-Class Legacy, it simply conveyed that he could protect himself against the Apocalypse in the future.

Max only has to worry on Auntie Sarah and her children now.

Noticing his elder brother’s reaction, Enzo couldn’t help but feel relieved.

He was worried at first if his elder brother would feel envious after receiving an SS-Class Legacy.

He was aware that his elder brother did not receive the same treatments. His current achievements might soon be overshadowed by those individuals who received higher class legacy like him.

Although he didn’t know if his elder brother bought the Legacy Roulette in the mage sub-class, given that it was not sold, it was obvious that his elder probably followed the class sequence by the Empire.

Of course, those were just speculation by Enzo.

Enzo glanced at his elder brother who continued to feel happy for him and asked, "Will I be able to earn a lot of money because of it?"

Max was surprised.

He could not restrain from laughing loudly, gaining strange gazes by Auntie Sarah who was listening on the side.

Max couldn’t help it. After all, SS-Class Legacy assured Enzo’s protection against the apocalypse, but here he was, talking about money.

He glanced at Enzo, who feel wronged, and explained, "It would be strange not to. Of course, do it in a similar case like mine.

Prove your worth to gain Aethernova’s attention or other gaming organization.

You can also earn money similar to how I do it. Auction. Gather artifacts, equipments, potions, coins, and valuable other materials and auction them if you don’t need them."

Enzo nodded. He was already aware, but receiving his brother’s answers were a form of assurance.

"Really, you should not worry about earning money for now," said Max with a smile. "I can cover our daily expenses. I haven’t failed to provide allowance for you, right?"

Enzo nodded. "Yes. But I still want to earn money through my own effort.

I want to experience the same feeling that you had."

Max chuckled. "Of course, you will. But for now, I want you to enjoy the game."

Enzo nodded. "Mhm."

As both brothers were exchanging words from the game, Auntie Sarah simply listened on the side.

She was vexed at first, but watching them engaging in a similar activity, she couldn’t help but smile.

They are not always like this. She thought. Enzo loves to study, Max is busy with his job before.

Just recalling Max’s weary faces every time he returned and Enzo’s solemn expression, seemingly carrying the burden of their future, made Auntie Sarah sigh in relief.

Not only both of them escaped from the poverty but also made themselves lived in luxury.

Auntie Sarah’s only worries were how easy to lose what they obtained easily.

But recalling how Max became an ambassador to one of the biggest virtual sports companies, she knew her worries were only superfluous.

While she was absorbed in her thoughts, Max learned that Enzo had completed the legacy and was now an Ice Mage.

Coincidentally, the school belle in his school was the same village as he was and managed to get acquainted with her.

When Max learned that Enzo rejected her proposal to enter their party, wanting to become a solo player like his brother after possessing his own secrets, Max couldn’t help but laugh.

His brother’s action made him remind of himself.

He was amused.

He listened to Enzo’s plans for a while. Enzo wanted to grind and grow stronger, surpassing most of the players at the moment, especially from their rankings.

When Enzo asked if the reporter’s speculation of the possible world event from the game might occur, Max explained that he had indeed received hints from the game’s storyline.

Hence, Enzo was determined to grow as stronger as possible to compete with others in the world ranking.

Once they were finished having breakfast, they busied themselves to their own activities.

Max, on the other hand, fell into slumber for seven hours straight...
