Chapter 58: Mutated Bison

Alex expected the mutated bison to retaliate.

A storage portal appeared in front of him and on the top of the mutated bison’s head at the same time.

The sharp rock spikes that were coming at him disappeared into his portal while huge bubbles flew out from the portal that was on the top of the mutated bison’s head.

Boom!

When the bubbles touched onto the head of the mutated bison, several explosions occurred and it blew off huge chunks of the armor plates that were covering the head of the mutated bison.

Alex had figured that the pillars of fire and huge metallic blocks weren’t effective against the armor plates of these mutated bison and he was right about it.

The crackling sound of lightning could be heard next and flashes of lightning strikes bolted down from the portal at the mutated bison.

Splatter.

Without the protection of the armor plate, the top part of the head was blown off by the lightning strikes and the flesh and gray matter that was inside splattered out into the surroundings.

Alex wanted to follow up with another lightning strike to make sure but the other two mutated bison had come charging at him from his sides.

He leaped to the back as far as he could.

Thud.

The two mutated bison crashed into each other, and the armor plates that were on the top of their heads gave out a loud muted thud, when they came into contact.

Both the mutated bison tumbled across the ground, smashing into some of the remaining cars that were in the car park.

Their movements made the ground shake and the cars began to beep with their car alarms going off.

It made the mutated bison agitated and they raged with sharp spikes jut out from the ground randomly.

Some of the sharp spikes penetrated through the cars and it finally made them quiet.

Meanwhile, Alex had unleashed his ability on the mutated bison.

He raised his hand and pointed his palm at one of them, aiming for its eyes.

Bam!

A lightning strike shot at the mutated bison’s eyes and the lightning strike was so fast that it couldn’t react.

It blew the eyes of the mutated bison into a mangled mass of flesh.

The mutated bison gave out a roar in pain and it thrashed around its head trying to make the pain go away.

While it was doing so, a portal appeared on the top of the other mutated bison’s head.

Bubbles flew out from the portal and the explosions that ensued blew off the rock armor plate of the mutated bison.

Then, like the previous mutated bison, lightning strikes from the portal followed right after the bubbles.

The head of the mutated bison was blown into an odd shape with the top half of it gone.

After staggering for a few steps, the mutated bison fell to its side and it kicked out into the air for a few times before it stopped moving.

With two of the mutated bison taken care of by him, Alex turned his attention to the last mutated bison left.

It was still groaning in pain and it charged around aimlessly.

Occasionally, it would hit onto some of the mutated deer and the mutated deer was hurled into the air from its impact.

Alex quickly gave chase before it got out from the range of his storage portal.

He ran up to its side and aimed his palm at the head wound of the mutated bison.

Bam!

Lightning strikes one after another were unleashed onto the portion of the mutated bison where its eye was a few moments earlier.

The lightning strike struck through the flesh and bones with much of what was inside the head of the mutated bison splattering out into the surroundings.

Trot.

The mutated bison trotted for a few steps before it slowed down.

Its head lowered and it fell to the ground in the next moment.

The mutated bison remained motionless afterwards.

Now, with all of the mutated bison gone, Alex wasted no time to check on his buddies.

They were still dealing with the remaining deer so he joined in to help.

He aimed his hands at a group of mutated deer and after a few crackling sounds coupled with bright flashes, he unleashed his lightning strikes at them.

Bam!

The lightning strikes hit onto the body of the mutated deer and they blew a huge chunk of the body off.

Innards and blood flowed onto the ground and the mutated deer gave out a bark in pain.

They thrashed around with their antlers bursting out in flames.

The flames covered the vision of the other mutated deer and Alex made use of the opportunity to finish them off.

Huge metallic blocks dropped out from the storage portals that were above them.

The metallic blocks crushed the mutated deer into a pulp and he moved on to another group of mutated deer.

When the mutated deer threw out flames from their antlers at him, he used his storage portal to absorb the flames into his storage portal.

Then, he used his other forms of attack to kill them off.

Finally, the chaos that was brought upon the open car park by him and his friends died off.

Alex inhaled slowly as he composed himself from all the hard work he had put in.

While he was doing so, a familiar sound erupted in his mind and information panels with words appeared in it.

[Congratulations to Host for killing off 25 enemies.]

[Dispensing rewards now:]

[100x bottles of water.]

[50x packets of beef.]

[50x packets of chicken.]

[50x packets of cabbage.]

[All items are stored in your storage space now.]

[Current status: 146/100]

[Day 1 of 1 for SSS Level Lightning Wielder.]

After reading the information panels, Alex walked over to Riley and the others to check on them.

He gave out a sigh of relief when he saw that they weren’t injured.

The three of them were able to kill the mutated deer after some effort but it wasn’t too difficult for them at this point.

"Time for some shopping." Alex glanced at the entrance of the supermarket and they nodded their heads at him.
