Apocalypse: Grinding EXP through Hunting
Chapter 353 - 266: Arrival
Chapter 353: Chapter 266: Arrival
Below the camp, the smoke of battle rose everywhere.
Extraordinaries and Martial Artists fought throughout the Inner City. Walls crumbled and houses collapsed amidst a cacophony of battle cries.
"There’s trouble at the camp! All Guards—no, all Martial Disciples, stay here and guard against outside enemies! Everyone at the Martial Artist level and above, follow me to the Inner City!"
The Outer City Commander reacted quickly. Even seeing the three masters hovering in the air, he had no intention of fleeing.
Guards from the Inner and Outer Cities surrounded them, but after assessing the enemy’s strength, they realized they could only assist the Martial Artists.
Their combat power was of no help against the Generals or the Queen.
And everyone knew that the key to their survival today was the Queen.
It all depended on whether she could win a one-on-four fight.
Everyone’s heart sank. ’One against four!’
Their only potential outside help, the Silver Wolf King, was likely hundreds of miles away. Without anyone to notify him, he probably wouldn’t even notice the commotion.
Even if he did, he wouldn’t be able to make it in time.
Zhou Bing, who had just become an Extraordinary, and Tangtang, a Third-class Martial Artist, rushed to the battlefield.
Tangtang drew her Flying Blades and moved along the periphery of the Martial Artists’ battle, waiting for an opportunity.
Zhou Bing leveled her long spear and joined General Zhao’s battle group.
General Zhao sent her a rapid mental message, "What are you doing joining this mess? Go find the Silver Wolf King!"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Explosions echoed continuously in the sky.
The exchange between the Sixth Grade experts was extremely fast.
The woman in red dodged, weaved, and maneuvered, fighting hard against the three men.
In the blink of an eye, dozens of moves had been exchanged.
All four of the battling Sixth Grade experts had sustained injuries.
Her red dress was soaked in blood, clinging to her body and outlining her stunning curves.
Specks of blood dotted her fair face, adding a murderous and bewitching aura to her once bright and commanding features.
"This woman’s Fire Division Technique is explosive but lacks endurance! We can’t let this drag on. Widen the circle and wear her down!"
The shoehorn-faced brothers engaged her head-on.
The assassin launched sneak attacks from the side. Three against one—truly shameless.
After a period of stalemate, the Queen’s face grew paler.
Several times, she tried to seize an opportunity to trade injuries.
But her enemies were no pushovers; their combat experience was even richer than hers.
BANG!
The Queen took a punch to the chest and fell into the fields below...
The battle within the city was just as bitter.
The four veteran Generals could hold their own in one-on-one fights.
But the other Commanders, who had only recently become Extraordinaries, were struggling.
If the camp hadn’t had one more Extraordinary and at least five more Martial Artists than the attackers, all of Flame Camp’s upper echelon, aside from the Queen, would have already been taken down!
Suddenly, with a muffled groan, Zhou Bing was sent flying back like a leaf in the wind, landing near the chaotic melee of the Martial Artists.
Seeing that General Zhao was still holding on, she wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, spun around, and severely injured an enemy Martial Artist with her spear.
"How dare you! Stop!"
An enemy Extraordinary roared at her from a distance.
Zhou Bing ignored him, lunging forward and stabbing again with her spear.
"Lord Lin, Young Master Xiao Lin has been killed!"
’Not good!’
"Bing’er, run!"
General Zhou sensed the danger and bellowed.
Even without knowing who "Lord Lin" or "Young Master Xiao Lin" were, he knew his niece was in grave danger.
In the next moment, the black-clad assassin outside the city abruptly changed direction, shooting toward the Inner City like a black streak of light.
Just then, everyone heard a series of sonic booms overhead.
A Fireball trailing black smoke broke the sound barrier, flying in from beyond the sky.
It screamed down toward the field where the Sixth Grade experts were!
It also forced the Sixth Grade assassin, who had been about to enter the city for the kill, to a dead stop.
RUMBLE!
The Fireball slammed into the ground, raising a small mushroom cloud. As the black smoke cleared, it revealed a massive crater dozens of yards across.
The earth trembled, buildings shook, and already ruined walls collapsed completely.
The Sixth Grade experts dodged out of the way and looked up at the sky.
Stunned by this sudden turn of events, both sides inside the city pulled back from each other, their faces filled with horror.
There was nothing in the sky but a single black dot.
As if it were jumping, the black dot vanished and reappeared. After a few flickers, it was hovering above the camp in an instant.
It was a White Tiger?!
"Are you a lord from the White Tiger Tribe? We are from the Huang Family of Ganshan City, here to discipline these unruly commoners!" the black-clad assassin shouted.
The hearts of the Flame Camp members skipped a beat. Without a word, the Queen’s eyes flared with killing intent as she threw a punch at the assassin who had spoken.
The assassin drifted away and yelled, "Bitch, you still dare to attack? Do you have no respect for the lord from the White Tiger Tribe? I won’t let you live today!"
A cold voice rang out:
"You’re right, you won’t be left alive. Sister Qi, don’t let these three Sixth Grade fighters escape!"
Huh?
The three were stunned. ’An enemy, not a friend?’
’Didn’t the White Tiger Tribe form an alliance with Ganshan City?’
The Queen’s phoenix eyes narrowed, a look of utter astonishment in their depths. ’That voice... Is that the Tang Wen kid?’
"Run!" The three Sixth Grade experts snapped back to their senses.
Tang Wen deactivated his Concealment and appeared above the camp in a flash of Instant Teleportation, with Li Zi beside him.
Seeing the ruined camp, he snorted coldly and lunged toward the invading Extraordinaries.
The Sixth Grade experts had already yelled to run.
The Extraordinaries weren’t fools. They had some knowledge and knew the White Tiger was a Fifth Grade being, so they immediately scattered and fled.
Tang Wen caught up in a single step, his Sword Gang slashing out and kicking up a rain of blood. He saw General Zhou’s familiar face and shouted, "Kill them! Leave no one alive!"
With that, he used Instant Step to catch up and slaughter the Extraordinaries.
"This...?"
"It’s Tang Wen?!"
General Zhou felt as if he were in a dream.
It wasn’t just him; everyone felt as if they had just woken from a dream.
The change had come too fast.
One moment, they were all prepared to fight to the death. The next, the situation had been completely reversed, and they were still trying to process it.
Outside the city, the three fleeing Sixth Grade experts seemed to be bound by invisible ropes. Though there was nothing on their bodies, they struggled desperately.
But their struggles were useless.
The distance between them and the White Tiger was closing, bit by bit.
This bizarre scene sent a chill down everyone’s spines.
The tide of battle had turned in an instant, and the fierce fight raged on.
