Apocalypse: Grinding EXP through Hunting
Chapter 352 - 266: Timely Arrival
Chapter 352: Chapter 266: Timely Arrival
"Woman, you’ll be on your knees begging me soon enough!"
"Hehehehehe..."
"Kekekekeke..."
The three of them let out strange, inhuman cackles.
Three Sixth Grade fighters sneaking into the camp in the pre-dawn hours certainly didn’t come in peace.
The Queen had discovered them. If she hadn’t, their sneak attack might have already left several people dead.
A red light flashed in the Queen’s eyes as she calmly ordered, "There are Extraordinary fighters and small fry outside. Take care of them."
General Zhou and the others’ hearts sank. ’Dammit! After all these years, we’re still useless when it comes to the camp’s survival!’
FWOOSH!
Several Extraordinary fighters vaulted over the wall, followed closely by a line of Martial Artists who also vaulted in.
"Are those your men too?!" The Queen’s voice suddenly sharpened, utterly astonished.
Hooked Nose and the shoehorn-faced brothers looked over at the same time.
There was nothing behind Hooked Nose.
’We’ve been had!’
’Damn it!’
’That woman’s shout sounded so damn real!’
A thunderous BOOM erupted.
It was like a clap of thunder exploding right next to their ears.
The trio’s expressions shifted.
’This woman... she’s beautiful and young, yet she’s at the Peak of Sixth Grade?’
Facing an expert of the same Level, they needed to be on their highest alert.
Mountain-Shattering Cannon—Tenfold Shocking Fist.
The crack of displaced air woke the entire camp!
The ordinary people thought it was thunder.
In the Inner City, Zhou Bing and Tangtang were jolted awake. They scrambled out of bed and quickly threw on their clothes.
’Something’s happened!’
"Miss, Lady Zhou Bing, you...?"
"Take Taotao and hide in the basement. Don’t come out until we’re back, no matter what!"
Zhou Bing looked at Tangtang. "You should stay behind with them and keep them safe."
"They are Martial Artists, but I’m an official Martial Artist now."
All of them, including Zhou Bing, had practiced the Eight Vajra Techniques, so their progress in the Martial Arts was faster than that of ordinary people.
Zhou Bing, holding her long spear, watched as Tangtang put on a Heart-Protecting Mirror, Soft Armor, and Scale Armor.
’Just like her brother.’
The corners of her mouth lifted into a smile, but her eyes quickly darkened.
"Sister Bing, aren’t you going to put on any armor?"
Zhou Bing gave her long spear a flick, its tip tracing a red arc in the air. "I’ve reached the Extraordinary level."
"Oh, oh, oh! Let’s go!" Tangtang was overjoyed.
"Alright."
At that moment, all the awakened Martial Artists in Flame Camp had come out of their homes.
Looking up, they couldn’t see the Queen’s movements clearly.
They could only see a bolt of red lightning striking toward a figure.
’The red flash is the Queen, which means the other figure must be the enemy!’
’Dammit!’
"Someone broke in! Everyone, grab your weapons!"
Flame Camp erupted into an uproar.
The Queen’s fist tore through the air, and the palace above her shook from the force.
Terror filled Hooked Nose’s eyes. ’Dammit! A high-multiplier Shocking Fist! How is this woman so ferocious?!’
’It’s too late to dodge!’
He summoned a gale with both hands, sending countless Wind Blades rushing toward the Queen.
At the same time, he stomped hard on the roof, causing the house below to collapse with a rumble as he used the force to fly backward in retreat.
He didn’t forget to shout, "This broad is an expert! Don’t fight her head-on. Kite her!"
A fist like soft white jade slammed into his crossed arms.
Hooked Nose grunted, his own arms smashing heavily against his shoulders and chest.
CRACK, CRACK.
The crisp sound of breaking bones echoed as blood trickled from his mouth and nose.
Several neat slits appeared on the Queen’s fluttering red clothes, and red marks appeared on her fair skin.
Most of the Wind Blades had been shattered by the wind from her punch, but a number of them still landed on her.
She sent Hooked Nose flying with a single punch.
Then, the Queen flickered, dodging a punch and a kick from behind. She stomped her foot, collapsing a wall, and with a boom, pounced toward Hooked Nose, who was still flying backward.
’Finish him while he’s vulnerable!’
The Queen’s brows furrowed. She had a nagging feeling that the danger wasn’t just from these three men.
’If I don’t kill one of them first, this is going to be a tough fight.’
BANG!
The older-looking of the two shoehorn-faced brothers suddenly performed a mid-air acceleration, slamming a palm into the center of the Queen’s back.
General Zhou, who was still able to follow the fight, paled.
However, in that instant, a brilliant red light erupted from the Queen’s back like an explosion, blocking the blow.
Using the momentum from the blow, she instantly accelerated, appearing before Hooked Nose as if she had teleported.
BOOM.
Red light flared. Mountain-Shattering Cannon—Elevenfold Shocking Fist.
’Not good!’
The Queen’s instincts screamed a warning: ’Someone’s launching a sneak attack!’
’An assassin!’
Her gaze was like iron. She didn’t dodge, resolutely throwing her punch.
It was like the blast of a great cannon.
The bones in Hooked Nose’s upper body collapsed with a crash. His eyeballs bulged, and blood poured from all seven of his facial orifices.
He smashed into the ground, collapsing a house and shattering the Stone Slabs beneath. He was driven into a crater.
But Hooked Nose was a Sixth Grade fighter, after all.
Even so, he wasn’t dead yet.
The Queen couldn’t afford to pay attention to finishing him off. A black glint of steel, like a venomous dragon emerging from its lair, traced a bizarre arc from below, striking toward her full chest.
In a flash, she didn’t even try to dodge. Instead, she abruptly gathered her energy and blasted a Shocking Fist downward.
’Trading injury for injury, life for life!’
The attacking assassin hadn’t expected her to be so ruthless; he had no intention of trading his life for hers.
In mid-air, the black glint of light veered off course, dodging her punch while still managing to check her movement.
BANG, BANG!
A fist and a palm landed from behind.
They slammed solidly into the center of the Queen’s back and her shoulder.
PFFT!
Blood sprayed from her lips, and her long black hair whipped about wildly.
As if she had been prepared, the Queen brought her hands behind her back and formed a mysterious, complex hand sign. The two brothers frowned. Although they didn’t understand it, they hastily dodged.
’This woman took two heavy hits; she’s at least lightly injured. It’s not worth the risk.’
SWOOSH!
She pulled her hands back and used the momentum to charge forward through the air!
The hand sign had been a total bluff.
"Dammit!"
"That bitch!"
Furious, the two brothers both gave chase.
The figure in red shot straight for the ambushing assassin. The latter turned and fled, the pursuer and the pursued rapidly streaking toward the Southwest of the camp.
