Chapter 278: Chapter 236: The Thirteen Thieves’ Challenge, Will Tang Wen Lose Face?

The two women took his instructions to heart. The moment he left, they closed their eyes and fell fast asleep.

The stars were sparse under the bright moon, and a thin mist shrouded the night.

Under the cover of night, Tang Wen slipped away and arrived outside a small courtyard.

Light shone through the bamboo paper of the window.

Inside, a delicate hand gripped a pair of ivory chopsticks, pinching a full serving of mutton sliced thin as a cicada’s wing and blowing on it to cool it down.

"Eating hot pot all by yourself?"

"Who?" Li Zi froze, then saw the man from her erotic dreams push the door open and step inside.

And the door, old and in disrepair, made no sound at all as it opened.

"You’re here!"

Li Zi leaped up from her stool, and the pair of small melons on her chest bounced, changing shape with the sudden movement.

Paired with her delicate, schoolgirl-like features, Tang Wen, whose ardor had just begun to cool, felt his desire stir once more.

"I’ve come to get you. I found a job for you."

Tang Wen sat down brazenly in Li Zi’s seat. The hot pot was just getting started, and the plates and cups in front of him were clean.

Without a shred of courtesy, he picked up her chopsticks and began to eat.

When Li Zi saw this, she simply went and got another set.

She sat down beside him, her eyes curving into smiling crescents.

"You take the new set. I’ll use the old one."

Even though Tang Wen had already put the mutton in his mouth using her chopsticks, she didn’t mind. She took her original set back, used them to eat a few bites herself, and then busied herself with waiting on Tang Wen hand and foot.

"What job?"

"Well, I’m taking over Zhao Zhe’s operation, and I need an Extraordinary to hold things down. It’s a perfect fit. You’ll have a public identity and won’t have to keep hiding. The Giant Rock Martial Arts Hall has been conducting searches everywhere lately. If you’re found, there will be no explaining your way out of it," Tang Wen said casually, swallowing a piece of mutton.

A warmth spread through Li Zi’s heart. Ever since her master and senior sister had died, no one had been so thoughtful of her well-being.

Overcome with emotion, she tossed her chopsticks aside, aimed for Tang Wen’s handsome face, and raised her head to kiss him.

A strong, powerful arm shot out, blocking her lunge.

Her schoolgirl-like face was etched with disappointment.

But when she looked down, she saw a hand had come to rest on her small melons.

Tang Wen gave a squeeze before reluctantly pulling his hand back. "Your mouth smells like mutton. We’ll kiss after we finish eating."

"Mhm, mhm, mhm!"

Li Zi puffed out her chest, making her small melons stand out even more.

She dumped several pounds of sliced mutton into the large pot all at once, hastily ate a few mouthfuls, then grabbed a bristle brush, fine salt, and mint before running out into the courtyard.

Ten minutes later, she rushed back in like a gust of wind.

"I brushed three times. The smell is gone. Sniff for yourself if you don’t believe me."

Li Zi was like a naive young girl, completely unaware of the consequences, parting her pink lips and eagerly offering herself up.

Tang Wen wrapped his arms around her slender waist. With an easy flex of his long arms, he lifted her body—like a slender branch bearing heavy fruit—onto his lap.

The peach-like curves of her bottom yielded against his thigh, pleasantly soft and springy.

’As the saying goes: better one bite of a celestial peach than a whole basket of rotten apricots.’

’Isn’t this Childlike Face Lady so much better than those women at Jile Tower?’

But then an image of perfect, jade-like feet flashed through his mind, and Tang Wen sighed internally.

’A pity. Truly, a pity!’

"Let’s eat first." He set down his chopsticks.

Enveloped in his masculine presence, Li Zi’s face flushed red, yet she felt an overwhelming sense of security.

She picked up her chopsticks and a serving dish, gently waiting on him.

After he had eaten several pounds of meat, she obediently offered him a cup of tea.

The tea was brewed with milk, making it fragrant, rich, and delicious.

"You drink this every day? No wonder."

?!

Following his gaze, Li Zi proudly puffed out her chest. "These are all natural!"

Her small melons wobbled like water balloons. The fabric of her top, pulled taut by the movement, outlined their prominent curves, conveying a sense of heavy fullness.

Tang Wen’s eyes drifted downward as he said provocatively, "Who knows if they’re real or not."

Li Zi snorted. Blushing, she grabbed his hand and stuffed it inside her collar.

"BANG! BANG! BANG! Open up! Household inspection!"

Just as Tang Wen was about to free one of the small melons from its confines, the sound of banging came from the door.

’Damn it!’

Li Zi started. "This is bad. We have to go, quickly."

"Hm?"

"This house belongs to the Horse Gang, but I didn’t rent it. I snuck in one night and forged a lease agreement without paying a cent! They must have found out something’s wrong." For someone like Li Zi who lived in the shadows, this was a basic maneuver.

Normally, this wouldn’t have been an issue.

But recently, the three major powers—the Giant Rock Martial Arts Hall, the Black Water Gang, and the Huang Family—had joined forces to hunt down Huang the Seventeenth Lang.

Other factions were helping out as well, each clearing their territories of anyone with an unknown identity.

And Li Zi, who had been lying low, was exactly the kind of person they were looking for.

She leaped off Tang Wen, pulled a box out from under the bed, and grabbed his hand, ready to flee.

Tang Wen sighed in resignation and used his Stealth Technique to conceal both of them.

They easily evaded the watch of a Sixth Grade expert and slipped away.

The night wind was chilly, and the front of Tang Wen’s robe fluttered in the breeze.

The north wind was picking up; the temperature was about to drop.

"Where are you taking me?"

"To Jile Tower. You’re going to go hold down the fort."

"Huh?"

「Jile Tower.」

Tang Wen had left using Concealment, and now he returned with Li Zi, also under Concealment.

In the fifth-floor bedroom, the two women were still sound asleep.

With no other choice, he woke them up and introduced Li Zi.

"She’s an Extraordinary?" The housekeeper, still groggy with sleep, saw the girl who looked like a child but whose melons were even bigger than Liang Yu’s. All sleepiness vanished instantly.

Liang Yu was wearing a red bodice, which made her skin look even fairer. The fabric was stretched taut over her chest, distorting the embroidered mandarin ducks playing in water so much that they looked like two fat ducks.

The childlike Li Zi was also bewildered. ’An introduction to new colleagues, happening right in a bedroom?’

’Fortunately, the other two women were of a limited scale; neither could compare to her.’

Hearing the housekeeper’s question, Li Zi lifted her head and puffed out her chest. "That’s right. A Veteran Extraordinary."

Tang Wen addressed the three women directly. "You are all my women now. I expect you to cooperate."

After giving a few more instructions, he left Jile Tower. He went straight home, grabbed his Heavy Blade, a light blade, and the Bamboo Blade, and strapped them to his back.
