AnimeMan: The 13th Princess’s Overpowered Servant
Chapter : 663
He knew what would happen. If that spear touched his sister, he would lose his mind . He would stop pretending to be a lazy servant. His immense rage would trigger a catastrophic, uncontrollable magical eruption. He would accidentally release his true, god-like power. The resulting blast would instantly erase the entire Belmontia Empire from the map. It would destroy the continent. The immense explosion would be beyond the Empire's control.
He could not let that happen. He could not let his sister die. He could not let the world burn.
Ken dropped his lazy act .
He did not stumble. He did not pretend to slip on a banana peel. He did not yell a funny joke. He tapped into his absolute, reality-bending speed.
"Flash Step," Ken whispered silently in his mind.
He moved faster than the human eye could track. He moved faster than sound itself. The world seemed to stand still. The falling glass paused in mid-air. The dust stopped drifting. Ken vanished from his spot on the floor.
He reappeared directly in front of Jasmin. He stood perfectly tall. His back was straight. He shielded his sister from the incoming attack.
He raised his bare right hand.
The lethal blood-spear arrived. Ken caught the sharp, toxic weapon with his bare palm.
He grabbed the spear right out of the air. The weapon stopped instantly. It did not pierce his skin. It did not burn his hand. The immense kinetic force of the spear met an absolute, immovable wall. The dark red magic sizzled loudly against his palm. It tried to melt his flesh. It failed . He held the spear firmly.
Jasmin gasped loudly. She dropped her silver serving tray. The tray clattered noisily against the marble tiles. She stared at her brother's back in complete shock.
Ken did not waste a single millisecond. He spun his body smoothly. He used the forward momentum of the spear to fuel his next move.
"Full Counter," Ken mumbled quietly under his breath.
He hurled the blood-spear straight back across the ballroom. He threw it with terrifying, invisible force. The spear flew backward much faster than Vespera originally threw it. It became a blinding crimson streak in the air.
General Vespera blinked her toxic red eyes. She did not even have time to react. She did not have time to summon a magical shield. She did not have time to step aside.
The spear sliced right through her left shoulder.
Vespera shrieked in agony. The sharp magic tore through her dark crimson uniform. Dark blood sprayed onto the marble floor. The impact knocked her violently backward. She stumbled and crashed into a broken table. She clutched her bleeding shoulder with a pale hand. She looked stunned. She was severely weakened.

Ken instantly turned around. He sagged his shoulders as far as they could go. He put his hands deep into his pockets. He put his goofy, lazy smile right back onto his face.
"Jasmin!" Ken yelled loudly. He acted very surprised. "What are you doing here? This is a very exclusive party! You are missing a lot of good food in the kitchen!"
Jasmin stared at him. Her jaw dropped wide open. "Ken? Did you just... did you catch that?"
"Catch what?" Ken asked innocently. He tilted his head. "I just tripped over a broken chair leg. I almost fell on you. You need to hide right now. Go back to the kitchen. The kitchen is very safe. They have amazing snacks in there."
Naomi dashed across the room. Green wind magic swirled around her combat boots. She held her twin silver daggers. Her green eyes were full of warm concern. She checked on Ken. She saw Jasmin standing there.
"Ken! Are you okay?" Naomi asked quickly. She stood in front of them to block any more attacks. She smiled a bright, fond smile at him. "You took a nasty tumble."
"I am fine," Ken smiled cheerfully. "This is my sister, Jasmin. She is catering the event. I told her to go hide in the pantry."
Naomi offered a reassuring smile to Jasmin. "Listen to your brother. Go to the kitchen. We will handle this monster."
Jasmin nodded frantically. She turned around and ran through the swinging wooden doors. She disappeared into the safe kitchen.
Ken let out a long, quiet sigh of relief. His sister was safe. The world was safe. His catastrophic rage was successfully contained.
"That was a very close call," Ken said lazily. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of candy. "I almost dropped my gummy worms. I really hate dropping candy. It is a massive tragedy."
Sayma stood near the center of the room. She pushed her thick glasses up the bridge of her nose. She clicked her pen rapidly. Her dark eyes analyzed the situation perfectly. She looked at Vespera clutching her bleeding shoulder.
"Fascinating," Sayma noted politely. She opened her neat notebook. "The blood magic became highly unstable. General Vespera lost control of the projectile's trajectory. Her own spell backfired and struck her. Her mana reserves are failing."
"That is what happens when you use cheap magic," Ken agreed casually. He popped a gummy worm into his mouth. "It voids the warranty. You should always buy premium spells. They last much longer."
Laxmi punched her open palm. Bright orange flames popped around her fingers. She grinned a wild, excited grin. "She is hurt! Her magic is dropping! Now is our chance! Let us roast her!"
Zinia cracked her knuckles. The strong earth mage stepped forward. "She is severely weakened. We can finish this fight right now."
Princess Iris raised her silver rapier. The blade glowed with pure, bright white holy magic. She looked determined. She prepared to launch a final assault.
But she did not step forward alone.
A new figure walked gracefully into the center of the ruined ballroom.
It was the 6th Princess, Athena Belmontia.
Athena wore highly practical, elegant silver armor. Her jet-black hair was cut into a sharp, neat bob. Her calculating green eyes scanned the injured demon general. She held a long, silver staff. She projected an aura of pure, strategic logic. She did not act arrogant. She acted like a true, brilliant commander.
Athena looked at Iris. She gave a firm, respectful nod.
"Your vanguard fought brilliantly, Iris," Athena stated smoothly. Her voice was calm and pragmatic. "You created a perfect opening. Her defenses are shattered. I will assist you. We will eliminate this threat together."
Princess Iris smiled a warm, grateful smile. "Thank you, Athena. I welcome your strategy. Let us strike together."
Ken sat down on an overturned chair. He slouched his posture. He watched the two Princesses team up. He chewed his candy slowly.
"Oh, a team-up attack," Ken thought casually to himself. He buried his hands into his pockets. "The intelligent tactician and the holy warrior. This is a very solid combination. They are going to use a massive combo move. I love combo moves. They always have the best visual effects. I will just sit here and enjoy the show."
