Chapter 1701: Part 2: A Top- Three Elite: Jelloth

  • Next Chapter

Special Battlefield

The elite creature, Jelloth, was sealed on the spot. The four inheritance powers were destroying its body.

Not only that, but the mysterious sealing power was acting on the creature as well.

Boom!

Its dark origin power was eroding away, unable to withstand the four inheritance powers. The creature was also rapidly losing its vitality. It was dying inside the seal.

Jelloth was shocked. It could not move its body, but it could feel its vitality draining away. Its dark origin power was failing to protect it, and deep wounds were tearing through its flesh.

Blood flowed from its injuries; the creature hadn’t expected the human warrior to be this terrifying. It realized the human possessed more than one inheritance.

If this human warrior were to become a Quasi-God, he would become a nightmare for its kin on the sky battlefield. Unfortunately, it could not escape, nor did it even know the human’s name.

It wanted to at least hear the warrior’s name before dying, yet the power of the seal was too strong. It could not move at all.

Time passed, and the Jelloth creature slowly died.

Meanwhile, I continued to watch the vitality drain away from the creature. Then, I withdrew the inheritance powers and only circulated the sealing force.

I sealed the creature one more time using the sealing force, watching its vitality drain at an even faster rate.

I heaved a sigh of relief. I had sealed the creature before it could use any other abilities. Then, I used my mental power to scan the surroundings.

I didn’t know where the other creatures were wandering.

A few minutes later, the Jelloth creature died as its vitality finally depleted.

The sealing power faded along with it, and the empty shell dropped to the ground. My eyes flashed with relief.

"Finally, you used the sealing power. I thought you would keep hiding it," the ancient spirit said.

Hearing that, I smiled and replied, "I’m coming across more top-ranked elite creatures."

Next, I shifted my attention to other areas of the battlefield.

The creature had been brought here through a space crack. Otherwise, the Jelloth would have entered the main battlefield.

If it had entered the main battlefield, it would have caused severe damage to the frontline, and many more lives would have been lost.

I shook my head before searching the area, my mental power covering a massive range. Not long after, I spotted another moving creature.

This time, it was a well-known, weirdly shaped creature. I brought out my white bone staff and covered it in my inheritance powers.

Swoosh!

I approached the creature using a movement ability. As I got closer, the weirdly shaped creature sensed me as well.

Upon seeing me, the creature charged. It may have mistaken this place for the main battlefield, but it was not.

This space was created for me. The weirdly shaped creature attacked using its stretching tentacles.

Boom!

I swung the staff, bringing the bottom end down to strike. In the blink of an eye, the two forces collided.

Boom!

The inheritance powers covering the staff blasted the tentacles away upon contact.

The power completely obliterated the appendage. Then, I withdrew the staff before striking again with even more force.

Boom!

The elite creature was shocked. Before it could react, another attack was already coming. It tried to block with more tentacles.

Boom!

But they too were obliterated upon contact. The weirdly shaped creature was now scared. It had underestimated this human Red Mark Warrior.

This young human warrior was not like the others. It started to use its dark origin power, but since it was not a top-ranked elite, the power it could wield was limited.

At the same time, I noticed the creature was up to something. It was going to use its dark origin power.

"Lightning Phantom Technique!"

My legs were covered in lightning power. The next second, my speed spiked. In a flash, I appeared before the weirdly shaped creature and struck downwards.

Boom!

The white bone staff, blazing with inheritance power, landed heavily on the creature’s body. The energy detonated immediately.

The creature’s dark origin power was interrupted midway, causing it to suffer a severe backlash.

Swoosh!

The creature crashed into the ground, the inheritance power rampaging through its body.

When the dust settled, the creature didn’t stand back up. The inheritance power had ended its life.

Its vitality was completely gone; it had only taken a few strikes to finish it off. I then resumed my exploration of the special battlefield.

I was sure there were more creatures that had entered this place.

As time went by, I came across other creatures. I used the white bone staff to attack them, and none of them were able to withstand my inheritance powers.

However, I didn’t come across a second Jelloth. I wondered whether another one had gone to the main battlefield instead. If it had, I could easily predict the outcome.

It was going to be a huge headache for the council elders.

...

Main Battlefield

The scene here was brutal. Elite creatures had launched massive attacks, and the senior and talented warriors were struggling.

They were injured, and the weaker warriors were suffering even more gruesome wounds.

Several warriors sustained shocking bodily injuries. Blood loss was high, and proper healing resources were unavailable.

Because of this, many warriors began to die. The senior warriors couldn’t do anything to stop it; they were entirely unable to protect the others.

They only had enough strength to protect themselves. The fighting was intense, and the elite creatures were suffering far fewer casualties compared to the Red Mark Warriors.

The senior warriors were just waiting for the battle to end. They desperately wanted the fighting to stop.

If it continued, the casualty rate would skyrocket, making it much worse than the previous time. The senior warriors had agreed to just hold on until the end.

It was all they could do. Defeating the elite creatures on the battlefield right now was impossible, especially while outnumbered and injured.
