Chapter 1700: Part 1: A Top-Three Elite: Jelloth

My body began descending. It didn’t take long for me to land. When my feet touched the ground, I looked around. I was in the middle of the wilderness again.

I felt a black dot moving across the sky. Next, I spread my mental power to cover the area, and I spotted a foreign creature in the sky. It landed on the ground right before my eyes.

My eyes gleamed with a twinkle.

I bolted from my spot and began rushing toward it. I flew over the plants and other vegetation. It didn’t take long for me to reach it. It was a flat plain.

There was a jelly-like foreign creature in front of me. The creature’s body was a weird, oval, jelly-like shape. It had no hands or legs, but I felt something was off about it.

For a second, I didn’t know what to say.

"It’s a Jelloth. Be careful. It is ranked second among the elite creatures. You already came across the third one as your ninth opponent back in the night cell tower," the ancient spirit said.

Hearing that, my heart set off storms. I didn’t expect to come across the top-ranked elites.

I started circulating the four types of inheritance forces right away. It was the first time I was circulating more than one inheritance forces inside my body.

A dense crimson aura covered my whole body. I continued looking toward the creature.

On the other hand, the Jelloth saw the crimson aura covering the young man. It had no eyes or mouth, yet it could see and talk.

"Interesting," the creature said.

When it spoke, a wide mouth appeared on its body.

Hearing it, I felt goosebumps all over my body.

"Does it have a self-healing ability?" I asked the ancient spirit in my mind.

"It has another terrifying ability. Be careful, it can become invisible," the ancient spirit reminded me.

I heard the ancient spirit’s voice in my mind. My heart stirred.

"Invisibility," I muttered.

I was hearing about it for the first time. No wonder it was the second-ranked elite among the elite creatures. I continued to circulate the four types of inheritance power.

I didn’t take my gaze off the creature. Right before my eyes, the big jelly-like creature disappeared. My heart skipped a beat.

Thunderclap!

Lightning bolts covered my whole body. This time, lightning arcs danced across my skin. Compared to before, I projected more lightning power outside my body.

Out of nowhere, something invisible struck my body. The impact force sent me flying backwards. I almost collapsed onto the ground, but my gaze never left the surroundings.

I saw lightning arcs appearing in the distance. I tried to execute the finger beam technique, and the four powers reached my arms.

In a flash, something struck my back. The impact force pushed me backwards. I almost crashed into the ground, but I used my flight ability to steady myself.

Then, I looked around and saw the flash of lightning arcs disappearing from the area. Before it could disappear completely, I activated my perception. My mental power covered the surroundings.

The creature could become invisible, but it could not escape my senses. I spotted something moving not far away from me. A lightning ball formed at the tip of my index finger.

"Finger Beam!"

I executed the technique. Lightning power released from my hand, and the beam shot across in a straight line. In a single shot, the lightning beam landed on the body of the Jelloth.

Boom!

The finger beam contained four types of power, with the lightning power being the most prominent.

The four inheritance powers were able to break the defense of its skin. The power covered the Jelloth’s body like a spider web. Though it was using its invisibility power, the lightning arcs made it visible.

Seeing that, I used the finger beam to continue attacking it. One after another, the lightning attacks continued to land on the creature.

The flesh of the creature broke open. Blood splattered across the ground, and dark blood continued to flow from the wound.

The Jelloth creature looked toward the human warrior. It was terrified to its core. It found that the human had more than one inheritance power.

No wonder it felt this human was different from the other Red Mark Warriors.

"What’s your name?"

"How can you possess more than one inheritance power?" the Jelloth asked.

Hearing that, I was surprised. I didn’t expect the elite creature to guess it correctly.

I didn’t say anything; I just bolted from my spot and rushed toward the creature.

The elite creature saw the human coming toward it. It started to use its dark origin power for the first time, and the wounds on its body completely healed.

Seeing that, I was taken aback. The creature also had a self-healing ability.

I punched forward. My fist landed squarely on the body of the massive creature.

A huge detonation occurred. The blast sent the creature’s body rocketing backwards.

In a flash, the creature crashed into the ground. It landed with a heavy thud, and the shock force spread outward.

When the aftermath settled, I saw one more shocking thing. The jelly-shaped creature began to heal itself. Its injuries were all gone again.

Seeing that, I was not surprised. The humanoid creature back then did the same thing. This creature was doing it as well. It meant that the first creature might have had the same healing ability.

Once the creature recovered, I saw it was covered in the same dark origin power. It was trying to boost its own strength.

The creature then charged forward. It was going to attack for the first time. I circulated the four types of inheritance powers, and then I began to circulate the fifth.

This time, I was going to use the power of the sealing force. I wasn’t going to let the creature use its dark origin power against me.

I punched forward. In the blink of an eye, my right fist landed on the jelly-like body of the creature.

The sealing force locked the elite creature in place. At the same time, the four inheritance powers detonated inside the seal.

A huge blast occurred. The skin surface around the Jelloth was completely ruptured. Blood leaked from the wounds, and the creature’s whole body was covered in blood.
