"Let’s continue our fight," I said to him in a serious tone.

Upon hearing that, Luke’s expression turned serious. He understood that I wanted to complete my practice. He extended his hand, and a sharp blade materialized in his grasp.

"I can tell that you are practicing some technique, and you want to get injured for it," Luke said with a smile.

"So, I will help you get those serious injuries." After saying that, he bolted from his position.

The silver blade shone with a metallic luster. It was sharper than a silver arrow.

Meanwhile, my gaze sharpened. I started running the ancient healing technique in my mind. The healing force began to flow through my pathways.

Swoosh!

In the blink of an eye, Luke appeared before me and slashed with the blade in his hand.

Boom!

Seeing that, I punched forward. It was simple brute force; I didn’t use my elemental powers.

In the blink of an eye, both attacks made contact. The silver blade touched my skin and began to penetrate. However, as the blade tried to bite further into the flesh, it met resistance.

Puchak!

Blood appeared as the spot started bleeding. At the same time, Luke felt the brute force behind my attack.

He received the recoiling effect a second later. His face showed his seriousness as he took a few steps backward before attacking with the blade again.

Puchak!

The blade and fist made contact again. A red line appeared around my fist. At the same time, the brute force behind the attack pushed Luke backward.

As time went by, similar exchanges continued. One after another, red lines appeared around my fist, and the bleeding increased.

I ignored it and continued to focus on the healing tree rune in my mind.

It didn’t take long for my entire right fist to become bloodied. Luke was surprised. He didn’t know how many times he had been surprised by me.

He noticed that I had yet to achieve the desired advancement in my healing technique, so he continued his attacks. His strikes were relentless; he didn’t hold back.

Luke used all the techniques at his disposal.

Slash!

The attacks cut through my skin and flesh one after another. Even Luke forgot how many times he had struck.

One hour later.

The healing rune in my mind grew stronger. It would only be a matter of time before the next improvement came.

When both of my fists were covered in blood, I finally found my inspiration. My eyes gleamed; I had been waiting for this exact opportunity.

As time went by, the healing tree rune in my mind grew denser, advancing at a faster rate.

Luke continued to attack. He saw that I was experiencing a breakthrough, so he didn’t stop. Instead, he began to attack using the golden element. A golden rock struck my body.

It brought immense pain to my body, but I endured it. At the same time, something else was happening. The veins in my body were undergoing a new transformation.

They had already undergone some transformation during my previous advancement in the ancient incomplete healing technique.

Right now, I was reaching the limit of the ancient healing technique. A few minutes later, the tree healing rune in my mind broke through that limit.

It entered the Red Mark Level, which was also the final Chapter of the ancient incomplete healing technique.

The next second, my body began to experience changes. Unlike other inheritance techniques, this one made the veins in my body stronger and distinctly special.

My veins had gained a special power. It was the exact advantage and outcome Elder Ann had always talked about.

At the same time, special energy from the surroundings flooded my body, drifting toward me.

Luke stopped attacking. He saw the changes in my body and sighed in relief. It didn’t take long for him to notice the dense concentration of special energy.

Along with that dense concentration of special energy, the healing element entered my body.

As time went by, the ancient incomplete healing technique was fully mastered. It changed my veins into special healing veins.

They became covered in small green runes, gaining an incredible special power.

Compared to the other five Inheritance Runes, the Tree Rune had reached its limit. There was no additional information to glean from it; there was no next level.

I had completed the task given by Elder Ann. If she were to learn about it, she would be happy.

As I continued to run the ancient incomplete healing technique, the healing force and special energy flowed through my pathways.

The injuries on my body and fists healed at a much faster rate. The special veins reacted to my wounds, accelerating the flow of healing energy and helping the injuries mend.

It didn’t take long for the injuries to disappear completely. After circulating, the healing force entered my dantian.

The healing force occupied the space inside my dantian.

Not long after, the changes came to an end. I opened my eyes and observed the transformations in my body.

I saw the green runes covering my veins-the special power Elder Ann had mentioned. I took my gaze off my veins and turned toward Warrior Luke.

"Thanks," I said to him.

Hearing that, Luke shook his head and said, "It appears you made some improvements in your healing technique."

I wasn’t surprised that he could figure it out.

"Yes, it’s my healing technique. I have mastered it completely," I said.

Luke nodded and said, "So, we have reached the end. It’s time for you to finish me off."

I didn’t know what to say.

"Is there a way to save you?" I asked.

Luke replied, "It’s best for you to finish me off. I want to die as well. It will be a final freedom for me."

"Sigh!"

A heavy sigh left my lips.

"Don’t think too much about it. His fate was sealed when he was trapped inside. Perhaps his enemy is still outside," the ancient spirit said.

Hearing that, I calmed my heart. I circulated the dark purple lightning through my body.

Boom!

Like a spider web, the dark purple lightning covered my body.
