Chapter 1504: Fingerprint Entry

Feng Yi drooped her shoulders and stared at the icy, indifferent door in front of her, her cheeks puffed with anger as she yelled inside, "Ning Yan! Ning Yan! Do you even have a conscience anymore? Why are you locking me out here? Let me in—let me in—"

She had no idea if this soundproof door could let her voice through.

Feng Yi stood at the door with a dark expression, waiting for quite a while. She was so bored she started pacing back and forth at the entrance, angrily tapping the door with the tip of her shoe, muttering to herself, "How could the old Uncle Ning be this over the top? Just as Feng Yi was rambling on and on, that soundproof door suddenly creaked open from the inside.

As the door opened, a slender Youth in a spotless white lab coat appeared in the doorway, with a big, tall robot standing beside him.

Ning Yan glanced at Feng Yi. She was half-squatting on the ground, rubbing her lower back. He frowned and asked, "Why didn’t you come in?"

Feng Yi jumped up at once, full of grievance, complaining, "Why didn’t I come in? You changed the password—how am I supposed to get in? This is a laboratory in the research institute, there isn’t even a window I can climb through!"

Feng Yi sprang toward the laboratory door, grabbed onto the keypad by the entrance, and entered the password again. The alarm sounded once more.

Feng Yi was even more aggrieved. "Listen! Isn’t that an alarm?"

Ning Yan said coolly, "Try using your fingerprint."

Fingerprint?

Feng Yi blanked for a second, then slowly extended the index finger of her right hand and lightly pressed it on the scanner. The door gave a crisp "ding," and then...opened.

Feng Yi stared straight at the door for a long moment. When she finally came back to herself, she said, "No...that’s not right. Eighteen years ago, Uncle Ning’s laboratory didn’t have my fingerprint recorded, did it?"

So just now when she came over, she went straight for the numeric password and never even thought about opening the door with her fingerprint!

Ning Yan lightly brushed off his white lab coat with those long fingers of his, and his beautiful phoenix eyes shifted to the side, looking a little uncomfortable.

"Weren’t you always pestering me to record your fingerprints? I just happened to be free yesterday, so I added your fingerprints into the system."
