All My Summons Become Divine Girls

Chapter 537: One Core Dies Three Times

  • Next Chapter

The thirty seconds arrived one at a time, which is how seconds work when everyone you love is holding a god.

The clone’s returned memories hit Hajin mid-dissolution, the north front’s whole morning in one delivery.

He rode it standing in river water with four Rings plus a stutter, because the plan had not included a chair.

The pinned core did not wait politely for him to finish feeling things.

It pushed anyway, with the whole sky chamber groaning like a struck hull.

A twenty-Shard-class structure, frozen at the transfer, rooted at the floor, cut from its rhythm, pushed the way a mountain pushes when it decides to be a landslide.

The entire sky chamber groaned like a ship changing its mind.

"Loccy," Eirwen called, with her roots flaring white along the lattice.

"It is loading all three sections into the floor. The lattice will hold that load, but it cannot hold it empty-handed."

Loccy stood beneath the sky chamber now, planted where the three sections’ shared foundation converged.

It was the only place in the city where one body could touch all three fronts at once.

She took the burden the way she had taken the housing block, except this time the building was trying to leave in three directions.

[ Burdenfall: Three-Body Load Accepted ]

[ North Shell Load: Routed Through Sky Foundation ]

[ River Shell Load: Routed Through Sky Foundation ]

"Floor stays here," she said, through her teeth, four Wings braced into the chamber floor like architecture. "All three of them stay here."

The seconds counted themselves out loud across three separate districts at once. The pinned core tried its sky line again, the shared rhythm regrowing through the severed channel, plus Juna was on it before the line finished forming.

Her Wing crossed the regrowing line plus cut it a second time, cleaner than the first.

The feed replayed both cuts side by side for people who needed certainty in their lives.

[ Sky Line Regrowth: Severed ]

[ Section Rhythm: Held Broken ]

The pinned core tried its known exits next, in strict sequence.

Nari’s last door held, plus Rumi closed the one behind it.

The map had sworn that door would go unused, but the map had been wrong once already, plus Rumi did not truck with wrong.

The core tried Ferra’s channel last, the linked line it had been herded down.

It found the smith herself standing in it with her wedges driven home, ceramic-isolated, plus her arms crossed.

"You are in my channel," Ferra told it, in the voice she used for apprentices about to be corrected. "Nothing moves in my channel without my mark on the movement."

Seconds eleven through nineteen belonged entirely to Vella plus her gold.

The shell’s straining began tearing the pinned section’s inner lattice.

Punishment damage radiated outward the way a squeezed fist damages its own knuckles, plus the demon child’s old lesson lived in every healer on the field.

Vella’s gold went in through the tears that could be entered safely, stabilized what could be stabilized, plus reported the rest with a triage officer’s cold mercy.

"I can hold the lattice from failing inward," she said into the relay.

"It will spend its rage on its own shell instead of the district, which is the best trade available, plus I am taking it."

The core, unable to move, unable to regrow, unable to exit, did the last thing a cornered distribution knows how to do. It simply, entirely, plus permanently stopped distributing its presence anywhere at all.

All of it, every fraction of the hostile presence, gathered into the sky section’s chest, abandoning the other two shells entirely.

It became one target for the first time in its existence, because a cornered thing would rather be solid than safe.

"It has consolidated," Aria reported, plus the report was almost gentle.

"The core is fully present, fully pinned, plus fully exposed. It is holding its position out of nothing but pure spite."

Seconds twenty through twenty-nine held nothing but load, cut, door, gold, plus the family’s breathing, recorded for a planet.

[ ShadowMage44: ] the family is holding a god in a full nelson and the chat cannot even type, bro

[ LurkerNoMore: ] twenty-five seconds. the wolf woman is cutting regrowth in real time, the smith is arguing with a channel, and the hammer girl is the floor

Second thirty arrived on strict schedule, exactly as the doctrine had promised. Two Rings came home to the river chamber, dark halos relighting on a wet forearm, plus six Rings stood where four had stood.

Hajin came up out of the river water already turning toward the sky front.

"Everyone off the shell now," he said across the relay, his voice arriving as every front’s voice at once.

"Burden released, doors open, roots down, plus clear the chest."

The family cleared the chest the way they had rehearsed it, in order, without hurry, because leaving a fight correctly is also a skill.

Loccy released the three-body load last, stepped back from the foundation, plus rolled her shoulders.

"Good luck," she told the pinned god, sincerely, because she was who she was.

Six Rings, Phase Lock, plus the Legendary Chain arrived at the sky chamber in the time it takes a bell to finish ringing, the Chain fresh from inventory.

The consolidated core saw him coming, plus the archive’s oldest warning proved true one final time. It counted its fronts, found three, tried to count the man, found one wearing six, plus somewhere in that arithmetic its ancient patience ended.

It broke its own shells to strike him, all three structures convulsing into one last hammer blow of pre-foundational stone.

He met the blow with the Chain wrapped through six Rings of held tempo.

Divine Sever crossed the Chain at the exact frequency of the pinned core, the Concord-learned, clone-refined, family-disciplined cut, plus the core died three times in one motion.

It died once as a moving thing, its mobility severed, plus once as a shared thing, its distribution severed.

It died a third time as a living thing, its presence severed, in three cuts that were one cut, by one man who was, at that moment, exactly one man.

The ledgers paid out in a cascade the feed had never seen, five names advancing in one block, plus the chat drowned itself in numbers with names attached.

Ferra stared at her own panel longest, the first EXP of her life beside the smiths who fought beside gods, four hundred thousand honest units of held channel.

"I have a ledger now," she said, to no one, to the family, to the record. "I would like the record to show I find it overdue plus welcome."

The reclaimed essence of the defense body’s stolen authority rose gold from three collapsed shells.

It crossed six open Rings, then settled into the Fragment behind Hajin’s core like sunlight finding a window it had forgotten.

[ CringeSlayer91: ] NINETY MILLION. the counter crossed four hundred fifty million on a technique check, pinned by nine people plus one clone, and the elf is crying, we are all crying

[ ashley (Mod): ] pins for all five ledgers, and for the family that held thirty seconds. this is the channel’s history, saved

Nineteen skies stood over the Last City at dusk, over three collapsed shells, plus over a defended engine suddenly free of its guard.

One distributed man stood in the wreck of the thing that had counted to three.

He felt the clone’s morning settle in him beside his own, two sets of memory, one soul, no confusion.

He understood then that the archive’s oldest math had been a love letter all along.

The finite orbit, the record now shows, is the mercy. One center, many stations, plus every station comes home eventually.

Beneath the oldest seam, in the vault the custodian had kept, something small turned over in its sleep.

Red was its color, audit was its name, plus it had felt the defense body die.

It opened one eye that was not an eye, looked north through forty miles of stone at a sleeping demon child, plus began, without hurry, to write.
