Chapter 483: Chapter 242: A Threat of Mutual Destruction

"Th-this..."

Gold Stone’s lips quivered, but in the end, he couldn’t manage to form a complete sentence.

Ghostly Shadow was also frozen in place, a dazed look on their face.

Even though the two of them had once seen Pei Ze contend with a Great Demon, this scene before them still felt as absurd as a dream.

As Wizards, they were arguably the people in the Multiverse who best understood the might of a Wizard Tower.

To fight a Wizard Tower controlled by a peer of the same level using only one’s own strength, without any external aid, was considered nearly impossible.

And yet, it had just happened right before their very eyes.

It completely upended their understanding of the world.

Amidst the dead silence, Pei Ze, who had just accomplished this shocking feat, didn’t pause for a moment. The void behind him twisted violently before a massive rift tore open, and from it, a corner of a Wizard Tower emerged.

His previous actions had merely been to buy time for the All-Knowing Wizard Tower to traverse the planes.

And now, the All-Knowing Wizard Tower had successfully completed its journey.

Before everyone’s horrified eyes, a Wizard Tower appeared out of thin air over the wasteland. It was even larger than a standard large-sized Wizard Tower, and it exuded an oppressive aura that made one’s chest tighten as it cast a vast shadow upon the ground.

Everyone stared, dumbfounded, at the Wizard Tower in the sky, their eyes shining with absolute shock.

"Is that...a large-sized Wizard Tower?"

"No, that’s not right. It’s much bigger than a large-sized Wizard Tower."

"Do you even have to ask? It’s obviously been upgraded."

Yin Xue’s eyes were filled with astonishment.

She was the only one present who had seen the All-Knowing Wizard Tower before. As such, she could immediately tell that it had grown noticeably larger, a clear sign it had undergone another round of upgrades.

Realizing this, the young woman couldn’t help but feel another surge of awe.

’He’s the same as always,’ she thought. ’Every time we meet after a while, he manages to shock and surprise me.’

「Inside the All-Knowing Wizard Tower, on the Stargazing Platform.」

Pei Ze’s figure materialized out of thin air. He stared at the damaged Wizard Tower in the distance, a strange light flashing in his eyes for a fleeting moment.

"Number Two, full-power assault."

Upon receiving the command, Tower Spirit Number Two immediately carried it out. The Wizard Tower roared to life, its floors and walls instantly covered with a dense network of Crystal Traces. There were more than ten times as many as when the tower was first built, and their emitted light brilliantly illuminated the entire Stargazing Platform.

Outside the Wizard Tower, a dense formation of Rune Arrays materialized in an instant.

Five hundred Spell Towers activated in unison. A massive amount of energy surged wildly, causing the Arrays to flare with sudden, intense light.

For a moment, it was as if hundreds of miniature suns had appeared high in the sky.

Watching this unfold, the Level 5 Wizard inside the damaged Wizard Tower stared, his eyes wide with horror.

"That many Spell Towers... How is that possible...?"

His own Wizard Tower only had eighty Spell Towers.

Even a large-sized Wizard Tower typically only had between 150 and 200.

’So what was the deal with this Wizard Tower?’

’A full 500 Spell Towers... Isn’t that level of enhancement a bit too absurd?’

But this was no time for shock. Seeing all 500 Spell Towers taking aim at him, the Wizard’s expression twisted in terror.

The tower’s Maze Locking Protective Energy Field had already been destroyed and couldn’t be restored anytime soon. The tower’s physical defenses alone clearly stood no chance against the concentrated fire of 500 Spell Towers.

As for defending himself... that was even more impossible!

He wasn’t some kind of prodigy who could take on a Wizard Tower head-on!

His mind raced. Realizing he had no way to withstand the coming attack, the Wizard unhesitatingly steered his Wizard Tower to flee into the distance, shouting at the top of his lungs:

"Lord Pan Mo, save me!"

The pale Wizard Tower, currently locked in a fierce battle, suddenly paused. It unleashed a concentrated volley from its Spell Towers, forcing its opponent to retreat, before speeding toward the damaged Wizard Tower.

A look of joy crossed the Wizard’s face. Gritting his teeth, he abandoned his Wizard Tower and flew out at top speed.

The next second, a torrential storm of energy beams rained down, instantly blasting the Wizard Tower to smithereens!

Feeling the terrifying energy fluctuations behind him, the Wizard had no time to mourn his loss and charged toward the pale Wizard Tower.

But something faster than him intercepted his path—a flash of incandescent white lightning.

In the blink of an eye, the lightning blocked his path. As the light faded, it revealed the figure of Pei Ze.

Pei Ze’s expression was cold as he shot his hand out in a lightning-fast grab.

The Wizard’s face fell. He instinctively tried to mobilize his elemental energy to counterattack, but was horrified to discover he was completely paralyzed. Neither his body nor the Elemental Fire in his Sea of Consciousness would obey his commands.

An unseen, irresistible force was suppressing him.

"The Power of Rules!"

The Wizard quickly realized what this oppressive force was, and his eyes filled with utter disbelief.

He finally understood what power Pei Ze had used to destroy his Wizard Tower.

But the Power of Rules was something only Seventh-level Wizards and a handful of Peak Level 6 Wizards could master. Why was Pei Ze able to use it?

Unfortunately for him, he would never find out the answer.

The next moment, a hand wreathed in lightning pressed down on the crown of his head.

As the lightning erupted, the Wizard was instantly annihilated, turned to dust.

Pei Ze slowly withdrew his hand, a glint in his eyes.

’A Level 5 Wizard with a Wizard Tower was more difficult to kill than ten level-five demons.’

’It took a full nine drops of the Power of Rules, and I had to deploy the All-Knowing Wizard Tower just to kill him.’

’It’s a shame this isn’t the Blood War battlefield,’ he mused. ’Otherwise, my soul fusion would have increased by at least one percent.’
