After Marrying 5 Yandere Wives, I Obtained a 10,000x Return System
Chapter 318: Selene’s Smile Terrifies Luke!
[You sure are enjoying yourself, Luke. 😊👏 Keep going.]
"-_-"
’You know, it’s not me who went to them; they came here by themselves!’ Luke defended himself internally, unwilling to let the System gain the upper hand.
Unfortunately for him, the System had already gained plenty of experience dealing with situations like this. It specialized in creating healthy yandere-like chaos, so how could a mere newborn Titan possibly defeat it?
[Heh~ I am sure, the thing poking down at Isaria A*s, if enter now. She wouldn’t mind, hell, I am 100% sure, that all these three women wouldn’t mind your thing inside.]
[Just look at their expressions! They’re practically thirsty. You should fill them, Luke!]
Luke’s mouth twitched.
Slowly, he turned his head to look at the women beside him.
"..."
The System wasn’t wrong.
Alia was still staring downward at his hard little brother with an almost fascinated expression, a little drool escaping from the corner of her mouth as she watched the situation unfold.
Estelle, meanwhile, was staring at Luke’s free hand. She looked as though she wanted to hold it, yet she kept hesitating, unable to decide whether she should actually do it.
Luke immediately began regretting every decision that had brought him to this point.
’If you want me dead, just tell me directly. There is no need to come up with elaborate methods of torture.’
He firmly rejected the System’s suggestion with the determination of a loyal husband.
For a brief moment, the System went silent.
[...]
Luke almost felt relieved.
But that relief lasted only a moment before the System’s playful voice returned.
[Luke, look! Your wife Selene is looking at you with a happy smile. She’s even encouraging you to continue. ヽ(•‿•)ノ]
"o_o"
Luke’s entire mind seemed to freeze.
’Selene?!’
Suppressing the ominous feeling spreading through his body, he slowly looked forward, desperately hoping the System was simply messing with him.
But—
There she was.
Selene was genuinely looking toward him with a smile, her fangs clearly visible as she raised one hand and gave him a cheerful little wave.
Luke’s expression didn’t change.
But internally, his soul had already left his body.
He knew that smile.
That wasn’t a smile of happiness.
That was the smile of his impending doom.
Selene said something from across the spectator seats, her expression remaining perfectly pleasant.
Luke couldn’t hear her voice from this distance, yet somehow, he could still understand what she had said by reading her lips.
"My darling, sure having so much fun~"
’I am cooked!’
’I am absolutely cooked!’
’No, I’m beyond cooked!’
Luke felt as though his future had already been decided.
Even his little brother, who was proudly standing and kept poking at Isaria’s A*s, like it was finding any hole to enter, which his big brother was not helping with.
Suddenly, he felt he lost all his power, and it started shrinking at an alarming speed.
Noticing this, If it could speak, its panic-filled voice would probably have echoed throughout the entire arena.
"NO! I haven’t completed my mission yet! All I want! Just a small HOLE!"
"A small hole! Which I would make big by myself!!"
"Wait! I only need one tiny chance!"
"Just a little more!"
"NOOOO!"
Unfortunately, Luke couldn’t hear any of it.
He was already slumped deep into his chair like a man whose soul had been separated from his body, his mind completely consumed by thoughts of the impending doom that awaited him.
The System, somehow, could hear everything. Like a childhood friend.
[Poor little brother.]
And the System pity him.
Its grand scheme had failed before it could reach its conclusion.
Meanwhile, none of the three women had noticed Selene’s terrifying gaze.
Alia’s attention was still fixed on Luke’s little brother, although her previous fascination gradually disappeared as she noticed changing, that Luke’s little brother was dying.
’Why?’
Confusion appeared on her face.
The drool at the corner of her mouth stopped, and she tilted her head slightly as she wondered why the thing she had been watching seemed to be losing its previous vigor.
Isaria noticed the same thing.
She could feel the awkward pressure against her as* gradually disappearing, and to her own surprise, a strange sense of disappointment surfaced within her.
’What?’
’Why am I disappointed?’
She couldn’t understand her own reaction, and before she could even begin sorting through those confusing thoughts, the source of them completely retreated.
The little brother got completely shut down, as Luke’s body decided that it would not be able to stand again.
After all, Luke wasn’t even sure whether his little brother would survive what was waiting for him, much less whether he himself would survive Selene afterward.
At the same time, Estelle finally saw her opportunity.
Luke had slumped deeper into his chair, completely defeated by his own thoughts, and his right hand happened to fall toward the empty space beside her.
Estelle’s eyes immediately lit up.
Without hesitation, she reached over and took his hand.
Her fingers slipped between his, and she gently intertwined their hands.
’Success!’
Estelle felt an almost triumphant happiness inside her.
She didn’t even realize that Luke no longer cared about anything happening around him.
At this point, the Hero of Light was already mentally preparing for his impending funeral.
Meanwhile, the surrounding Empyrean Academy representatives and Sunborn warriors couldn’t help but feel strangely satisfied.
Well...
Most of them, at least.
Because after watching the situation unfold, everyone had reached roughly the same conclusion.
The great Hero of Light, the terrifying Womanizier...
...was now sitting there like a dead man because his wife had caught him surrounded by three beautiful women.
And judging by Selene’s smile from across the arena, everyone could already imagine the third-degree treatment waiting for him once the battle ended.
---
Selene turned her attention back toward the arena, where Brynessa was still in her enormous serpent form.
"Sorry, Brynessa, but I have to end this fight quickly. My husband just can’t seem to sit alone without me."
And unfortunately, that was the truth.
Luke was currently sitting between three other women.
Brynessa also noticed him, along with Alia, Estelle, and Isaria surrounding him. The sight immediately stirred something unpleasant deep within her mind, pulling an old memory to the surface.
She remembered the Elf Hero.
The man she had once trusted completely.
The man who had told her she was special, accepted everything she offered him, and made her believe that perhaps someone could genuinely love her.
Only for him to use her and throw her away the moment she asked for that love in return.
"Heroes aren’t trustworthy, and they don’t love us," Brynessa muttered absentmindedly, almost as though she were speaking to herself.
Selene heard her clearly.
She shook her head.
"I know what happened to you, Brynessa, but I know my Luke loves me."
Her tone was calm, and there was no hesitation in her voice.
She shook her head once more, refusing to let Brynessa continue.
Not because she wanted to prove anything to her.
Selene simply didn’t care what anyone else believed about their relationship.
She knew what she felt.
She knew what Luke felt.
And, more importantly, she knew that Luke was hers.
Hers alone.
As for making sure that remained the case, she would deal with that properly after this ridiculous Twilight Era ruin exploration finally ended.
"Foolish..." Brynessa muttered.
She didn’t continue the discussion either.
She already knew that Selene and the other four princesses who had married Luke were bound to him through chains, Created by goddess.
In Brynessa’s eyes, that was simply another method the gods and goddesses had created to ensure that the heroes partner, remained under their heros control, becoming useful pieces on the board that could help those divine beings achieve their own goals.
At least, that was what Iveron, her Demon God, had told her.
