After Marrying 5 Yandere Wives, I Obtained a 10,000x Return System

Chapter 315: The Shadow Dragon VS The Wind Serpent

Brynessa watched calmly.

It wasn’t because she didn’t care about Mella.

Quite the opposite.

She had ordered Mella not to waste her life here, and she trusted that her maid would surrender before the situation became fatal.

Marrec, standing nearby, watched the battle with a somewhat helpless expression.

"She seems to be struggling." He understood exactly why.

Dragons were not easy opponents, and Karon wasn’t some ordinary dragon.

She was a prodigy among her kind.

So it was only natural that Mella would struggle against her.

Brynessa’s voice followed from beside him.

"You would struggle as well if you faced either of these two dragons."

Marrec’s hand tightened into a fist.

He didn’t answer.

He knew she was telling the truth.

He had once been considered a prodigy himself, but another talented noble had become jealous of his potential and used his status and influence to have Marrec’s family executed while also attempting to kill him.

Marrec had escaped.

Afterward, he had become a fugitive and eventually joined the Infernal Choir because he needed the power and protection necessary to one day take revenge on that noble.

The thought remained buried inside him as he watched the battle.

Below, Mella and Karon resumed their exchange.

The serpent moved through the air, twisting around incoming attacks while attempting to strike with compressed wind.

Karon countered by using her wings to change direction and her shadow energy to obscure her movements.

The two bodies collided several times.

THOOM!

Mella’s tail struck Karon’s side.

The Shadow Dragon was pushed away, but she immediately recovered and snapped her jaws toward Mella.

Mella twisted aside.

The attack missed her neck but scraped along her scales, leaving a darkened wound.

At the same time, a blade of compressed wind cut across Karon’s wing.

She hissed and pulled away.

"Hahh..."

Mella’s breathing had become rough.

"Huff..."

Karon’s chest rose and fell more quickly as well.

Both had already consumed a considerable amount of stamina and Essence.

Neither looked willing to continue endlessly.

Then Mella spoke.

"Seems like it’s time to finish this."

Karon looked toward her and gave a slow nod.

Both understood what the other meant.

There was no reason to continue exchanging smaller attacks.

They would settle the battle with their strongest techniques.

Mella drew in a deep breath.

The surrounding wind immediately responded.

Air began rushing toward her body from all directions, gathering around her as the energy compressed tighter and tighter.

Karon’s shadow energy also began gathering above her.

The atmosphere darkened.

Then both women released their ultimate abilities.

"ULTIMATE INNATE ABILITY: STORM PIERCE!"

"ULTIMATE ABILITY: CRESCENT FALL!"

The wind around Mella compressed into a gigantic rotating spear.

Rather than spreading the force across a large area, nearly all of its destructive power was concentrated along the weapon’s length and focused toward the sharpened tip.

The wind surrounding the spear spiraled inward continuously, creating layers upon layers of compressed air that rotated so quickly that the space around it began to distort.

Once released, Storm Pierce would travel at tremendous speed, and the rotation would allow the attack to drill into powerful defenses instead of simply striking them with blunt force.

Unlike wide-area wind attacks, the technique sacrificed its range of effect in exchange for penetration and concentrated destruction.

Mella’s eyes narrowed.

"Go!"

She released the spear.

WHOOOSH!

The massive rotating spear tore through the air.

At almost the same moment, Karon completed her own technique.

A gigantic black crescent appeared above them.

The crescent remained suspended in the sky as large amounts of shadow energy gathered into it, its surface appearing almost completely devoid of light while dense darkness continued accumulating within its center.

Karon’s eyes remained fixed on Mella.

"Crescent Fall."

The energy within the crescent reached its limit.

The center suddenly opened.

A colossal beam of pure shadow erupted downward.

BOOOOM!

The beam descended directly toward Mella’s Storm Pierce.

Mella’s wind spear continued forward at full speed, the rotation becoming even faster as it met the incoming shadow beam.

The two attacks raced toward each other.

Neither side slowed.

The surrounding air twisted violently around them, while the ground beneath their path trembled under the pressure of the two concentrated techniques.

Storm Pierce was designed to pierce through defenses by focusing its destructive force into one point.

Crescent Fall, meanwhile, possessed tremendous destructive and penetrating power, capable of overwhelming magical defenses and annihilating whatever remained directly within its path.

Now the two ultimate attacks were about to collide.

And the next exchange would determine whose technique would break first.

"HOLY MOTHER!"

The sight of the two massive attacks, each stretching roughly one hundred meters, sent goosebumps across the bodies of the Sunborn warriors as they stared upward in disbelief. An attack of this scale could easily destroy an area of one kilometer, meaning that an ordinary city would have little chance of surviving if it were caught directly in their path.

"So she used it."

Zeyr calmly analyzed the two techniques while keeping his eyes fixed on the clash ahead, but after a moment, he shook his head because although Karon’s beam possessed excellent destructive power, along with its annihilating property and elemental advantage, something about Mella’s attack felt different.

He could sense it.

The Wind Spear was special.

In fact, it seemed that nearly all of Mella’s other abilities had been intentionally kept relatively weak because the greater portion of her bloodline power had been concentrated into this ultimate technique.

"Plus, that wind spear, judging by its name, seems to possess a piercing ability."

Zeyr narrowed his eyes as he continued analyzing the clash.

"That means there’s a high chance Mella will win this."

And his prediction proved correct.

BOOOOOM!

The instant the two ultimate attacks collided, a thunderous explosion tore across the arena as the shadow beam and the rotating wind spear pushed directly against each other.

The black beam continuously attempted to erase the wind spear beneath its tremendous destructive power, but instead of breaking apart, the spear kept drilling through it, its rotation allowing it to cut through the dense shadow energy as though it were slicing through soft butter.

The surrounding space trembled from the concentrated power of the two techniques.

Karon’s expression changed.

"THIS?!"

Her eyes widened as she watched her Dread Breath being pierced from within rather than simply overpowered.

She had never expected Mella’s ultimate ability to be this strong.

The wind spear continued advancing.

Its rotation never stopped.

Even as shadow energy consumed portions of its outer layer, the compressed wind immediately replaced them, maintaining the spear’s momentum until it finally broke through the remaining portion of Karon’s attack.

"Seems like my loss."

Karon gave a small sigh as she accepted the result.

The Storm Pierce finally crossed the remnants of the shadow beam and continued toward the gigantic black crescent suspended above them.

BOOOOOM!

The spear struck the crescent directly.

The black construct shattered under the impact, and the remaining wind energy scattered through the surrounding space as fragments of condensed shadow dispersed alongside it.

For several seconds, that portion of the arena was filled with violent wind currents and lingering streams of shadow energy, making it difficult to see either woman clearly.

Only after the opposing energies gradually dispersed did the spectators finally see Mella and Karon again, both of them having returned to their humanoid forms.

Karon’s expression had fallen.

She already knew what the result meant.

"I surrender."

There was no hesitation in her voice because she could feel that her energy had been almost completely exhausted, while Mella, despite being weakened from the previous exchanges, had clearly not used everything she possessed from the beginning.

’Maybe her ordinary abilities consume less energy, while her ultimate takes most of what she has.’

With that thought, Karon sighed before looking toward Peiro.

The blue spirit nodded.

"Winner: Mella. The Infernal Choir wins this round."

With the announcement, Karon was immediately transported back to the spectator seats.
