"Winner! Luke Voidheart!"

Peiro’s voice echoed across the arena, finally breaking everyone out of the stunned expressions they had been wearing since the three Heaven’s Palms had descended.

Luke gave Peiro a small nod in acknowledgment before turning away and using Void Step to return to his specter seat, first allowing Valzareth to deactivate so that the armor disappeared from his body before he settled back into his normal form.

"Luke."

Selene’s face immediately brightened when she saw him return, and Luke couldn’t help smiling when he noticed how genuinely happy she looked.

He walked toward her, allowing the Titan transformation to fade completely until his ordinary appearance returned, and after the last traces of his armor disappeared, he stepped closer and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"So, how was your hubby’s performance?"

His tone carried a playful hint of pride as he looked at her.

The intimacy in his behavior caught Selene off guard, and a faint blush spread across her cheeks before she lowered her gaze.

"It was great."

Her answer came out in a soft whisper, and she immediately buried her face against his chest.

The surrounding representatives of Empyrean Academy, Estelle, Isaria, and the remaining warriors of the Sunborn Kingdom could only stare at the couple in bafflement.

The same man who had just summoned an attack powerful enough to threaten Peak B-rank beings was now standing there casually embracing his wife as though nothing particularly important had happened.

One of the female mages even covered her mouth with both hands.

"He just summoned a Peak B-rank-level attack, and now he’s sitting here chilling like it was no big deal?"

The disbelief in her voice was genuine.

Zeyr, however, gave a small laugh.

"Haha, it seems Luke is prideful, not arrogant."

He had witnessed Luke’s actions throughout the battle, and despite the ridiculous strength the hero had displayed, there hadn’t been the kind of deliberate arrogance that usually came from someone who had suddenly gained overwhelming power.

Several others nodded and began praising Luke as well, although Arwen and Larael chose to remain silent, both of them wishing, at least for the moment, that they could somehow become invisible and avoid being reminded of how badly they had underestimated him.

After a brief pause, Peiro’s voice came from above.

"Who will be the next contestant?"

The question immediately brought the attention of both groups back toward the arena.

Everyone except Luke and Selene, that was.

The couple remained absorbed in their own little world, paying almost no attention to the next battle, which made several people around them sigh helplessly.

Before anyone else could volunteer, however, Mella, Brynessa’s maid, stepped forward from the opposite side and jumped down into the arena.

"Seems like we have our new opponent here."

Karon spoke as she watched Mella descend, and without waiting for someone else to respond, she also jumped from the specter seat.

After witnessing Luke’s display of strength, she had developed an itch of her own to fight, and facing another combatant in the arena seemed like the best way to satisfy it.

"Fine."

Zeyr muttered as he settled back into his seat, while the others did the same and returned their attention to the battlefield.

Then a quiet complaint came from nearby, causing several mouths to twitch.

"Naughty boy, not now." Selene slapped Luke’s hand away.

His hand had been wandering toward her breast, and although the two were already married, she was still fully aware that they were surrounded by people.

Luke withdrew his hand without arguing.

From nearby, Nolan couldn’t resist commenting on the situation.

"Seems like Mr. Hero really loves his wives."

The moment those words escaped his mouth, Selene turned her head.

A deadly glare landed directly on Nolan.

Nolan froze. ’What?!’

Even Luke, who had been acting lovey-dovey a moment earlier, felt a bead of sweat form on his forehead.

He cautiously glanced toward Nolan.

’Bro, why are you mentioning wives? Can’t you see there’s only one present?’

He kept the thought to himself.

There was no way he was going to say it aloud.

Instead, Luke quietly tried to calm Selene’s slightly irritated mood while Nolan sat there wondering what exactly he had done wrong.

Meanwhile, the battle below had already begun.

Mella relied upon the wind element, while Karon fought using the shadow element, and the moment their abilities began to manifest, Zeyr narrowed his eyes slightly as he sensed something familiar within Mella’s power.

"Hmm, she seems to belong to the Wind Serpent lineage."

His observation made sense to him because he was a dragon, and dragons had a particularly close relationship with reptiles. There were even ancient myths claiming that reptilian species had originated from dragons breeding with other races, although modern dragons openly denied such stories, perhaps more because of the implications than because of any lack of evidence.

Kira, meanwhile, leaned forward as she watched the exchange intensify.

"Look, the fight is getting intense."

Her words drew everyone’s attention back toward the arena.

The two women had already transformed into their original forms.

Mella’s body stretched into a one-hundred-foot-long serpent, her cyan scales covering her entire body while two small horns protruded from her head.

The transformation also granted her the ability to fly, allowing her enormous serpent body to float through the arena’s sky as she stared at her opponent.

Across from her was an equally formidable dragon.

"Damn, I didn’t expect to see a dragon form here."

One of the Sunborn warriors couldn’t hide his surprise.

Karon had transformed into a one-hundred-foot-long Western-style dragon with horns, claws, a lean body, a long tail, and a pair of wings that stretched roughly two hundred feet from tip to tip.

The entirety of her body was black.

She looked like a dragon carved from the darkness itself.

"A Shadow Dragon."

Someone else muttered the identification under their breath.

Neither side wasted much time after completing their transformations.

Mella opened her jaws.

"Wind Cannon!"

A huge amount of Wind Essence immediately gathered within her mouth, spiraling inward as the surrounding air was pulled toward the center of the attack.

Karon responded almost immediately.

As a dragon, she possessed her own breath weapon, and she wasn’t willing to lose a contest of breath attacks simply because her opponent had chosen to attack from the air. Even though she could fly, but she wasn’t doing now.

"Dread Breath."

Her jaws opened. Darkness began gathering inside her mouth before she exhaled.

A concentrated torrent of shadow energy erupted forward.

Mella released her Wind Cannon at the same time.

The two attacks collided halfway between them.

BOOOOM!

The collision sent a violent tremor through the surrounding space.

Wind and shadow twisted against each other, neither side immediately giving way as the two women continued pouring energy into their respective attacks.

Wrrrrr...

Vmmmm...

Wrrrrr...

The sounds overlapped as the opposing energies fought for dominance.

The pressure between them kept building.

The ground far below began to suffer from the excess energy, portions of the arena floor being stripped away and vaporized as the collision continued.

Peiro had repaired the battlefield after Luke’s previous attack, but even this reinforced arena surface struggled to remain intact under the prolonged exchange.

As the attacks continued grinding against each other, faint fractures even began appearing in the surrounding space.

The concentration of energy had become so high that the area itself was starting to react.

Neither Mella nor Karon backed down.

Both were determined to overwhelm the other through sheer force.

For several seconds, the contest remained balanced.

Then Mella’s Wind Cannon began to weaken.

Her breathing became heavier as her attack power dropped.

Karon noticed it.

Her Dread Breath pressed forward.

The shadow torrent gradually forced the wind backward until it broke through the opposing attack.

BOOOM!

The Dread Breath finally collided with Mella’s enormous serpent body.

The impact sent her flying.

"Ahh!"

Her cry of pain echoed through the arena as her body twisted through the air.
