Chapter 1931: Trying To Make A Difference

Chapter 1931: Trying To Make A Difference

The Ninth stage Sovereign was using his Puppet while fighting with Klaus since Grey was not close by to cut off his link to the Puppet, he did not expect Grey to appear in front of him and even attacked. He hurriedly tried to call back his Puppet to block Grey’s attack, only to momentarily freeze, taking Grey’s attack without being able to even put up any defense. At the time Grey attacked, he also cut off the link between the Gnome and his Puppet, making it impossible for him to block the attack.

Struck cleanly, the Gnome was sent flying, coughing up a mouthful of blood mid-air.

Grey switched places with Klaus immediately his attack hit, at the same time, Klaus’ attack just grazed the cheek of the Gnome Grey was previously fighting, sending an unimaginable chill through the body of the Gnome.

As soon as Grey appeared, he did not continue with the attack, staring coldly at the Gnome who was using his essence to force out the chill in his body. The reason Grey did not try to attack was because above the Gnome, three inscriptions could be seen merging. The first inscription he made was only to test the sensitivity of the Gnome, and after confirming the Gnome would not be able to sense the ones hidden above the original one he made, he quickly started to make them merge while he changed places with Klaus. Now that he returned, the Gnome had to deal with Klaus’ terrifying cold, making him unaware of the merging inscriptions above him.

The second he finished forcing out the chill, he sensed something and raised his head in a haste. His eyes bulged at the sight of the merged inscriptions, the aura he could feel from it scared him.

‘This boy needs to be killed.’ This was the first thought that flashed through the head of the Gnome when he saw this. Grey’s IQ in battle was impeccable, just how he switched places with Klaus and then returned after dealing a deadly strike to unleash an even greater attack proved that it was all within his calculations which scared the Gnome.

A drill formed above the Gnome, made from both the wind and darkness element, flashes of darkness could be seen in the drill. The drill shot straight at the merged inscriptions.

The moment the drill made contact with the inscriptions, the inscriptions showed signs of cracking, only for a quarter of a second before an earthshaking explosion occurred. Grey and the Gnome were caught within the range of the explosion, the Gnome even closer since the inscription was directly above him. Taking most of the brunt of the explosion, the Gnome slammed into the ground, causing an over fifty meters deep crater. On the other hand, Grey was sent flying, coincidentally, he was moving in the direction of a Ninth stage Sovereign Gnome that was helping a Peak Sovereign Gnome fight against one of the two Human Peak Sovereigns.

The Ninth stage Gnome did not expect an attack to come from anywhere since everyone was preoccupied, this inadvertently made his defense lax.

Grey flew over, punching the Gnome directly on his face. Half of the Gnome’s head exploded, leaving him one-eyed, staring into the void with a lost and blank look. The Gnome did not even know the cause of his death, falling to the ground shortly after.

The Peak Sovereign Gnome reacted after Grey had killed his support, sending an ice blade coated with the darkness element Grey’s way.

Grey knew he could not block this as he was still being propelled forward by the force of the explosion.

The Human Peak Sovereign made a move at this moment, blocking the attack of the Gnome before it even moved halfway through its journey. As Grey’s figure flashed through, the Human Peak Sovereign gave him a look of gratitude. If Grey did not come to help, his battle was not looking favorable for him.

Just as Grey’s figure flew past, both parties went back to fighting, with the Human Peak Sovereign reenergized. Losing his partner dropped the momentum of the Gnome, giving the Human Peak Sovereign the advantage in the battle.

“Get back here!”

A roar of anger shook the entire battlefield as the Gnome Grey was fighting against jumped out of the crater and charged after Grey. The Gnome currently had a sorry appearance since his clothes was almost destroyed from the explosion. Grey did not seem to suffer much from the explosion other than being sent flying in a favorable direction no less.

Grey could care less about the Gnome, focusing and moving around the battlefield. He knew if he wanted to take down this Gnome, he would have to expand a lot of effort, and although he did not mind, he could not allow this Gnome take all his time when his companions were heavily outnumbered.

Boom! Bam! Bang!

Sparks flew everywhere as the battles in every corner of the battlefield intensified, Chris was injured while the Gnome he was fighting with was no better. Chris was not the only one injured, the other Human Peak Sovereign had also sustained some injuries, fighting against a single Peak Sovereign Gnome and his Puppet was difficult enough, when a Ninth stage or even an Eighth stage Sovereign joined hands with them, it made their situations even harder.

The Humans were losing, and even with Grey moving around the battlefield occasionally causing some disruptions to the coordinations of the Gnomes, he was not strong enough to single-handedly change the direction of the battle. As long as things continued in the manner, the Human Sovereigns would lose, it was only a matter of when.

As the battles continued, everyone noticed a strange change in the battle in the sky. The Half God Plane Elementalists have been fighting interrupted since the start of the battle, and no one knew how things were going over there. All of a sudden, a powerful aura exploded from above, sending chills down the spines of those below.

“What’s that?”

Everyone’s attention was directed to the sky.
