Chapter 615: Chapter 614: Captured

Keith was dragged along as they passed through the tall, ancient trees and the giant tree in the distance. It seemed that was where they were going.

The closer Keith got to it, the better he felt. His injuries healed faster, and even his soul felt stronger.

One word rang in his head...

World Tree.

This was the World Tree, a terrifying creature in the possession of the elves, or one should say, the mother of all elves.

Finally, they reached the elven settlement as multiple long-eared, beautiful creatures came out.

The female population was more than ten times that of the males, but the males weren’t weak. At the very least, they stood on equal footing, and sometimes, males like Dralo surfaced.

"The queen wants to meet him. Tell her I have to meet with the King of Humans. The demons are attacking again."

Dralo reached the giant trunk of the tree and looked at the guard as he spoke.

The female guard was at Rank 2. She bowed to Dralo as he vanished.

What Keith noticed was that there were two different kinds of elves: those living on the World Tree and those living around it.

He had just passed those living around it, and now he was about to go onto the top of the tree’s trunk. But even its trunk seemed to have giant leaves that easily spanned from a few hundred kilometers to miles in size, with cities built upon them.

"Commander Dralo really caught a demon, and he isn’t weak..."

The Rank 2 female guard spoke as she grabbed Keith, and they began their journey toward the top of the leaves.

They entered what seemed like a portal as they were teleported to one of its cities.

But before Keith could admire the view, he was teleported again and again.

Finally, they stopped outside a giant city.

A large castle stood from afar like a coiling dragon, with clouds surrounding it.

One must understand that this was just a leaf that had grown from the massive tree trunk. The true size of this World Tree, at the very least, was incomprehensible to the current Keith.

"Let’s go."

She spoke as Keith glanced at her. Then he followed, his mind rolling with thoughts.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t try to fight back, but he didn’t need to. At the very least, that vision... they were coming for him.

As for who they were?

He would find out once they met. All he had to do was enjoy the exposition to such a civilization.

The humans he was with then were nothing more than a civilization that didn’t even have a Rank 1 leader, and now, in this race, he had seen more than a hundred Rank 2 beings, and it was still counting.

Who knew how many were in the cities they had passed? He was sure they hadn’t even passed all the cities.

And now he was curious.

How strong exactly was the queen they spoke of?

At Rank 2 or even above?

Another thing to consider was the massive difference between Rank 1 and Rank 2 when it came to elements.

A Rank 1 being had just discovered an element. Their control was shabby, but Rank 2 was entirely different.

It was all about mastering that element, then learning even more elements and mastering them, even combining them into Proto-Laws to advance to Quasi Rank 3.

One reason why, even at the same realm, Dralo was stronger than him was because of his elements.

Dralo had mastered the element of Gravity and, even more so, had other elements he hadn’t used compared to Keith, who had only a basic knowledge of his Blood Element.

He was bound to fail.

So he knew the next step was mastering his Blood Element.

Blood could not only be used to control his enemies’ blood and his own blood.

What about their cells? Organs like the heart that produced blood?

The Blood Element could not only be used to distract his enemy, but also to control them, even their entire body, destroy them from the inside, and even be used by himself to enhance his own body.

Maybe he could create a domain that drained them the longer they remained inside?

Or induce madness in them?

These were all things the Blood Element could do, but Keith was lacking in his understanding of the element.

"What!, a demon..."

"I can’t believe a demon entered the capital."

"Who captured this demon? He is not weak."

"Do you think he will be executed?"

Keith heard murmurs as they entered the capital, with more and more guards following them, all of them at Rank 2, mind you.

The civilians, too, were at Rank 1, from Low to Peak, with even some Quasi Rank 2 beings among them, as they looked at Keith while they passed through the naturally innovative buildings.

The closeness between the elves and nature made one see them as one with it, just not of their "own" race.

Even the druids were friendly with the elves, calling them sister, as their buildings were made entirely out of soil, trees, and some other natural resources.

Just seeing it, one could feel their body elevated, and it reeked of a natural blessing that made one feel at home.

Finally, they passed by everything and reached the giant castle he had seen earlier.

Keith’s expression changed rapidly.

Now he finally met Peak Rank 2 beings and even Quasi Rank 3 beings.

Their auras were like rolling storms striking a small cottage in the middle of a forest.

Keith’s body tensed instinctively. He couldn’t use his strength, but he felt fear from what he saw as those elves cast their eyes at him while he was led deeper and deeper into the castle.

Keith couldn’t help but gulp.

There were so many people who were stronger than him, people who could turn him into nothing but meat paste.

Yet why did he feel so excited?

Why did he want to fight them all?

Bang!

The door to the room closed as Keith knelt on the ground.

Before him were two beauties that made all other elves feel like ordinary grass beside a rose.

They had an aura of nobility around them, but the more mature one commanded an authority that seemed to resonate with the entire elven race, at least in this world.

"Your Highness, this is the demon that Commander Dralo caught."

Kneeling on one knee, the female guard spoke as the Queen of the Elves raised her head and looked at them.

Keith’s breath hitched.

She...

Her aura was unlike anything he had ever felt. Even those at Quasi Rank 3 were nothing compared to her.

Could it be that she was at Rank 3?

---

Meanwhile, outside the world...

At the edge was another world attached to it.

In fact, when zoomed out, one could see thousands, if not more, of such lands connected to one another. Yet they had a bubble of protection around them that not only stopped the inhabitants from meeting, but also prevented attacks from the other worlds.

And even more surprising was that above this world was another world.

Only this one wasn’t divided.

It was massive.

In one of these worlds, at the edge where the two bubbles clashed, terrifying storms that could kill a Rank 2 being exploded and were created.

Two beings appeared, their gazes locking directly onto the elves, most especially Keith.

"He finally grew up..." Leo said with disgust.

"I told you, give him time," Sheira spoke with a smile.

"Time is the one thing we don’t have. Argh..."

Leo’s gaze deepened as Sheira smiled.

"Well, are you ready?" she asked as Leo sighed.

"Yeah, let’s get this over with," Leo spoke as their green robes fluttered.

Bang!

Boom!

A massive explosion spanning tens of light-years erupted and then disappeared as elements clashed.

Proto-Laws began forming, only to be destroyed in another explosion.
