Chapter 614 - 613: Alayot’s Breakthrough
Chapter 614: Chapter 613: Alayot’s Breakthrough
Keith felt a warm liquid in his mouth as he opened it and spat out blood.
It had been a while since Keith had been overwhelmed like this. The two had almost similar realms, yet the difference between them was so great.
Was this how strong someone from the Upper Realm was?
Badum!
Keith stood up, a grin appearing on his face. He had thought this would be rather boring, but with this elf, things might turn out to be interesting.
Boom!
The ground cracked beneath him as he moved. The wind blew with force as Dralo blinked his eyes.
The approaching attack of Keith suddenly disappeared, and then he felt a chill on his back as Keith appeared behind him, chasing him with a kick, but...
Bang!
He crashed onto the ground as he felt the gravity suddenly increase by more than five times.
Keith groaned under it as he felt his vision darken.
Boom!
Dralo stepped on Keith’s head as it sank into the ground, causing it to tremble.
But before he could move, he was grabbed and suddenly found himself thrown into the air as Keith approached.
Crossing his sword, he defended himself as the two created massive shockwaves, causing leaves to break from their branches.
Bang!
Bang!
The two flew about in the sky, creating shockwaves as they clashed one after the other.
But Keith was at a massive disadvantage. It seemed like his gravity was "off."
His hand could suddenly weigh more than ten times its usual weight, causing him to miss, or his leg would become light, making him move faster than he anticipated.
His own element of Blood couldn’t affect Dralo, but Dralo’s gravity element was a pain to fight with, not to mention that Dralo was stronger than him physically.
It was basically a one-sided beatdown as Keith felt his internal organs being smashed and almost turned into paste. His skull was cracked as his body endured the terrifying attacks landing on him until, finally, they landed back on the ground.
Bang...
Keith’s two knees smashed onto the ground. Sweat that sizzled in the air fell onto the ground, corroding it as he took heavy breaths.
His lungs had collapsed, his heart was half destroyed, and all his other vital organs had been destroyed.
Click!
Dralo’s sword was put back into its sheath.
Huh!
The Rank 1 elves looked at the two, their eyes widening in shock.
They saw the leaves of the trees suddenly falling, then the ground trembled slightly. Shockwaves that created intense tremors appeared.
Shit...
Then there was Keith on the ground while Dralo was where he had been at the beginning.
Could it be that these two Rank 2 beings had fought and declared a winner?
This was the only way these strange, out-of-nowhere occurrences could be explained.
"Capture him, and let’s return," Dralo said calmly as he turned to leave while the elves gulped.
Keith bled from his nose, his eyes full of seething anger.
Dralo had made the gravity around Keith so intense that as long as he regenerated his organs, they would instantly be destroyed the next moment.
It prevented Keith from using his elements or even his physical body, as he was picked up by the Rank 1 elves and then carried away, trailing behind them.

Elsewhere...
The Fifth Layer of Space was silent.
Alayot stood alone within the darkness. Around him floated countless Origins.
They moved slowly, like ancient stars drifting through an endless void.
Fire. Death. Creation. Destruction. Space. Time. Soul.
Every Origin represented the beginning of something, yet Alayot merely stared at them. He had spent countless years studying humanity. He had dissected their bodies, studied their souls, and observed their emotions.
Fear... Love... Hatred... Despair... Hope.
He had believed one of these things was the answer. Then he had created machines.
Actually, perfect machines.
(Cough. I mean, we know there’s only one perfect being... Perfect Cell!!! Just joking.)
Machines that could live forever. Machines that could begin at Rank 1, possess intelligence, and have consciousness.
And yet...
They failed as they reached their limits one after the other.
Some could become stronger, but only within the boundaries he had created for them.
Others were born powerful enough to crush ordinary beings but could never take another step.
They were perfect, and that was exactly why they failed.
Alayot slowly closed his eyes.
"Then I was wrong..."
His voice echoed through the Fifth Layer.
"It was never flesh and blood."
The Origins around him trembled.
"It wasn’t emotions either."
His mechanical fingers slowly clenched.
"Humans aren’t limitless because they possess something that machines lack."
He opened his eyes.
"They are limitless because they are incomplete."
Silence.
A strange light appeared within his eyes as his thoughts became clear.
A machine could be designed. Its limits could be calculated.
Its functions could be predicted.
Its future determined...
But humans... humans were not like that. They seemed caged and yet free. They could choose, they could fail, and eventually, they could change, becoming something their creator never intended.
A weak human could become a monster, and at the same time, an ordinary human could become a Chosen One.
A nobody could accomplish something that should have been impossible, not because the race itself guaranteed it, but because the individual could become a variable.
Alayot suddenly laughed.
"Hahaha..."
His laughter rang out.
"So that’s it."
The countless Origins surrounding him began to shake violently.
"The mechanical race doesn’t need unlimited potential."
He raised his hand.
"They need the ability to create their own."
Boom!
The Fifth Layer trembled as a terrifying pressure erupted from Alayot’s body. His mechanical body began to change as his existence, Origin... and his very understanding of himself changed.
"For a machine to truly evolve..."
His eyes became brighter.
"It must possess the possibility of becoming something that even its creator cannot predict."
Boom!
The surrounding Origins surged toward him. One after another, they entered his body.
His consciousness expanded as his perception broke through countless boundaries.
The Fifth Layer of Space suddenly became incomprehensibly vast.
And then...
Crack!
Something snapped inside him as Alayot’s eyes widened.
He could suddenly see it—the structure of countless realities, the flow of Origin.
The countless beginnings that formed universes, the realms that contained them, and the existence beyond them.
He understood.
Rank 4 wasn’t simply possessing more Origin. It was reaching a point where one’s existence could stand outside the structures that once defined it.
He had spent so long trying to create a race capable of breaking its limits, only to realize that he had been doing the same thing himself.
A smile slowly appeared on Alayot’s face.
"So this..."
His voice became calm.
"...is what it means to transcend."
BOOM!
An immeasurable wave of Origin erupted as he felt himself getting so close to that one thing that defines all beings.
Soul...
His Soul Origin rapidly grew stronger as he felt a firm connection to the Plane of Consciousness, while the surrounding Origins twisted around him like countless ancient snakes.
Alayot’s mechanical body remained perfectly still, yet his existence was no longer the same.
He had finally done it.
He had crossed the boundary.
He...
Had reached Rank 4.
For the first time since his creation, Alayot felt something he had never experienced before.
Understanding.
He looked at his own mechanical hand, then smiled.
"Now..."
His gaze traveled across the endless darkness.
"I can finally create them."
A race that would not merely inherit his strength, but one that would not be bound by a predetermined ceiling. One where most would live ordinary lives, while some would become geniuses.
Some would become monsters.
Others... Chosen Ones.
And perhaps, one day... one of them would even surpass him.
"That... is true evolution."
