Chapter 748: Real Challenge - 1

Chapter 748: A Real Challenge - 1

The moment the horn sounded on the other side, the students at Aurelius Beast Academy also summoned their beasts and blew their horn to empower them.

Even Leo didn’t leave a single beast in his spiritual space. After seeing Azrakar, Vorthak, and Vulcarion fight for this long, he knew they were going to be tough opponents together, and he wouldn’t be able to focus on saving others while fighting them.

In other words, his beasts would join the fight from the start to aid the other students.

Unfortunately, the horn didn’t work on spirits, meaning Lily was on her own. Even Kaelion’s Skyreaver wasn’t boosted, while Vorthuun was sitting in the distance.

At that moment, Leo, Lily, Kaelion, and even Vorthuun snapped their heads up to see Zephyrax—whose wings had regenerated after all this time—rapidly descending toward them in a [Thunder Dive] attack.

It seemed that the dragons had already initiated the attack first.

[Solarflare Cataclysm]!

Leo immediately raised his hands and released concentrated solarflare directly toward the beast.

VROOS!

At first, the beam clashed against the beast and simply parted around its aerodynamic shape, sliding along the spirit beast.

But after a moment, its descent slowed, and it was forced to fly abruptly in a different direction unless it risked injury.

At that moment, the Vorthuun beast released its own flame breath, targeting Zephyrax.

Unfortunately, the bird simply swerved around it and dodged.

"Lily," Leo said, and she disappeared the next moment as Solvyr’s 200-meter-long frame shot straight toward it with a loud roar.

Lily’s first target was this spirit. She didn’t let Solvyr handle Zephyrax alone since he was a Peak 4-star while Zephyrax was a Pseudo 5-star. And since she was a Pseudo 5-star herself, she was more than capable of handling it herself.

The next moment, the dragons also appeared in the sky, most of them flying rapidly toward them.

But the leader was missing.

"Where is Azraka—"

BAAAAM!!!

DHUUUMMM!!

Kaelion had just begun to speak when Leo’s figure blurred, and a loud crash was heard right after.

First from behind them, and then a split second later from the mound of the Behemoth’s body in front of them.

The clash had occurred on the outer shell of the dead Behemoth, and a large crater had been formed there.

When the dust settled, Azrakar was seen smiling as he remained embedded at the centre of the crater.

He was in hybrid form.

An ugly dent was present on his sternum, visible through his torn clothes, though it was healing rapidly.

Leo had appeared behind the group, making it apparent that he had punched the guy over there.

"Interesting. It looks like Vorthak wasn’t exaggerating," Azrakar said as he hopped out of the crater and flew mid-air, remaining stationary as he observed the humans.

Most of the time during the Behemoth killing event, they had been acting in opposite directions, so except for a few rare glimpses of each other’s abilities, they remained strangers.

In other words, it was the first time Leo and Azrakar were coming face to face.

Azrakar swept his eyes over all the Aurelius Beast Academy forces, including the humans, beasts, spirits, and summons.

"I was planning to clear the nuisance in 1 move to make things easier for my men, but I was interrupted."

His voice turned serious.

"And you will pay for it—!"

Azrakar’s eyes widened when Leo suddenly appeared right in front of his face, a punch already shooting toward his gut.

BAM!

The attack hit, and Azrakar was launched toward the Behemoth’s body once again.

"You speak too much nonsense for your own good. Let’s see if you have the power to back it up."

Leo once again disappeared and appeared in front of Azrakar, caught his face with his palm, and—

Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr—!

He scraped Azrakar’s face through the metallic soil all the way up to the Behemoth’s mound peak, climbing high within seconds.

All along the way, a small trench was created by the dragon’s face.

But in between, Azrakar slammed his fist into the surface—causing a crater—and halted Leo’s momentum while chopping his hand away from his face.

Leo immediately created some distance.

"HUMAN!" Azrakar shouted, with one side of his face marred and unrecognisable.

The skin on his entire face had been ripped off along the way, exposing parts of the bone, though his healing ability kicked in once again as the flesh stitched itself back together.

While Azrakar lunged at Leo, the other dragons had already reached the students’ location.

"Not good!" Leo said and disappeared once again.

He couldn’t allow strongmen like Vulcarion and Vorthak to engage them. At that point, the whole Aurelius Beast Academy would be wiped out within minutes.

"WHO?!" Vulcarion suddenly sensed someone right above him, but before he could turn his face, a crashing punch threw him toward Azrakar’s location.

Before the other dragons could react, Vorthak suffered the same fate, while Vorthuun’s breath attack disrupted their flying formation.

In the distance, Leo could see the humanoid dragons lagging way behind the main flying group as they covered the distance on foot.

Though one thing was common: all the flying dragons were in the 4-star realm.
