Chapter 735: Demolishing The Elarion Stronghold

The spirit Wind Wyrm appeared high in the sky.

WHOOOOOORRRHHH!!

The Wind Wyrm stretched nearly 90 meters from head to tail, its long, serpentine body formed from translucent, pale-blue wind spirit energy. Its scales shimmered like thin layers of glass beneath the sunlight, while wisps of white wind constantly streamed from between them.

It had a narrow, draconic head with swept-back horns, glowing cyan eyes, and long whiskers that dissolved into swirling currents of air.

And its signature feature—it was wingless.

It simply glided through the sky the same way Leo and Niri did.

In other words, the Wind Wyrm possessed something similar to [Sacred Physique], or perhaps that was exactly what it had.

But there was one striking feature that Leo, from the ground, and Lily took note of: a barely visible beast core could be seen through the transparent body of the beast.

It was the first time they had seen a spirit with a beast core.

Unlike Lily, whose beasts became immortal after tethering their souls to hers, normal and wild spirit beasts usually had a spirit beast core. Especially among the stronger ones, as having a beast core became essential to advancing through major star ranks and learning better skills.

Wind Wyrm [Spirit] (Peak 4-star) - Noble Bloodline

But Lily was not at all affected by its presence and continued ascending directly toward the summoned spirit.

"You! Fine! Embrace your defeat!" Aerielle exclaimed, taken aback when Lily didn’t give an ounce of reaction to the beast’s presence.

She tried to yank her arm away from Lily’s grip but found it was impossible. Lily’s grip was solid.

Then she realised that Lily was actually radiating Pseudo 5-star strength.

"How?!" Aerielle exclaimed in shock. They hadn’t received this intel on her.

Finally, Lily threw her up into the sky, where she also summoned Solvyr right above them.

Even in the sky, Aerielle and the Wind Wyrm came under Solvyr’s 200-meter-long body and similarly long wings.

Before Aerielle could react, both spirit beasts locked in combat and flew higher.

Shing! Clang!

Aerielle barely blocked Lily’s surprise attack with her sword, but even that threw her away in the sky as she tried to use the wind element to stabilise herself.

And it was already too late for her to realise that she could no longer sense Lily’s presence properly after Lily went into stealth and took a slash across her abdomen.

Sprut!

Her blood flowed freely in the open sky, but the next moment, she invoked her healing skill and patched the wound.

Slash—Sprut!

Another surprise attack struck across her back, and her blood started to flow once again.

Down below, everyone fought their own fight, and Leo sat casually beside the Stronghold beacon; it floated and rotated mid-air as it released the spirit beam into the sky.

With only about half the manpower remaining at Elarion Royal Academy, no one was left to defend the Stronghold beacon.

Especially when people like Sylrael and Thalvyr took on 3 elves at once and were naturally holding the upper hand. Plus, with Niri messing around with her skills, the weaker ones who had come for support were already hanging upside down from the tall tree branches.

As for why Leo was waiting to destroy the beacon, it was simple: he was interested in these barbarian slaves, who looked more like human bodybuilders on steroids.

They were fighting Aeila’s golem and... losing.

"Mid 2-star... that one’s Peak 2-star..." Leo muttered, almost bored.

"Hmm, Lyswenna and Naelith did say something about how there was some kind of power cap at 3-star in their previous world... and reaching 2-star was actually commendable."

In other words, these Barbarians were actually pretty strong for their standard.

Suddenly, one barbarian noticed the glowing mana absorption array on the back of the golem’s body and secretly lunged at it.

Twip!

Something superfast hit it, and it disappeared into white particles.

"Uh..." Leo slowly lowered his hand and looked at it.

"Maybe I used too much force... I just wanted him to be thrown away," he muttered, scratching his palm with his other hand.

He had formed an earthen rock and thrown it at the barbarian, but he never thought a casual throw would be enough to kill a Peak 2-star being.

Another interesting sight was seeing Sylrael fight with a few other Wood Elves who seemed to know her.

"Aunty! How does it feel to be a slave?" one of the elves asked with a grin, and even if she were losing alongside 2 other female Wood Elves, they still looked cheerful.

They simply had an excuse: Sylrael was over 3 centuries old, while they were just under 30.

Sylrael stomped her foot as a root shot through the ground, wrapped around two of the elves’ legs, and pulled them down, pinning them. The third dodged.

"I have to say, it’s a lot better than the treatment your mother gave me." She then shook her head.

"Not better, but actually the best it could be."

The three elves’ expressions turned serious when Sylrael didn’t react as they expected.

"Trying to act tough? You think we are fools not to know what humans do to elven slaves? Especially females."

Their grins returned as they imagined Sylrael in that condition.

"Think whatever you like, but my lord is far better than your pea-like brains can envision." She waved her hand, and a vine finally pinned the third elf too.

Sylrael walked up to them as they struggled uselessly while pinned to the ground, so much so that even breathing was becoming difficult.

At that time, an unexpected guest came behind Sylrael.

"Big sis Sylrael!" Niri appeared, already hugging her from the side.

Niri looked down at the pinned elves.

"Hm? Why do they feel related to you?" she asked, forming a long wooden stick in her hand and poking one of the pinned elves’ cheeks.

"Are they bullying you, Big sis?"

The three elves’ eyes were already wide after feeling the overflowing nature energy coming from Niri, and the next thing shocked them even more.

It was Lily’s spirit Treant, which had lifted a rocky beast, wrapped it in vines and roots—turning it into a ball—and kept smashing it against thick trees.

When the tree deformed too much, or the beast disappeared, it picked up another beast, turned toward another tree, and repeated the process.

Now, it was finally near Sylrael, looking at the Wood Elves.

Wood Elves had higher synergy with creatures like Treants and Dryads, so both Niri and Drycha were interested.

But that wasn’t true for the elves pinned on the ground.

"W-what is...?!" One of the elves—pinned and facing upward—nearly screamed when she saw the monstrous 200-meter-long beast in the sky, made of raging flames.
