"Elves! Careful!"

The moment Uraan said that, a barrage of arrows was shot toward him.

But the Falcon released a gust of wind to slow them down and flew upward to dodge them. Even if they had their 4-layered turtle shells, they shouldn't reveal their resisting capabilities from the get-go.

Leo immediately told Agnivar to ascend high into the sky to keep Veronica, Fruder, and the others safe.

Lily even used wind to carry the 3 scouts onto Agnivar's back since they had less fighting capability, then helped Agni's flight with another push of wind.

Just in case, Thalvyr was also made to ride on Agnivar in case any attacks were made against them. Leaving them high up, all the other people charged toward Uraan's location in the distance.

"It's the Lunareth Academy! Ranked 3rd in the Elven Empire!" Uraan informed them after seeing the leaf symbol on their clothes.

In the Emperor's chamber, Louis had a sly smile on his face while Cyrandel wore a grimace.

"I am going to win the bet. Be ready to do your part," Louis said smugly.

"Yeah, whatever. Who knows? Before Lunareth's students lose, some other human academy might lose?"

Apparently, the three Emperors had made bets on whose race's academy would be crushed first and by whom.

And now that a human academy had met with an Elven academy, the result would soon be shown. Though the outcome was already known to them due to the sheer disparity in strength between the two academies.

Even if the other students might be evenly matched, the 1st ranker could never hope to match with Leo or Lily.

And this became painfully evident because—

"We don't have time to waste around..." Leo muttered as he was already standing amidst the Elven group formation with his dagger in hand.

The funny thing was, the Blackthorn Dagger's edge was already gleaming with blood, meaning—

Sprut!

More than 5 people standing in formation suddenly fell sideways with their eyes wide open, blood flowing from their necks like fountains.

They disappeared the very next second. And it seemed that the bracelets had a special effect, as they appeared to be disappearing into white particles that disintegrated from their body structure, which had turned pure white.

Very game-like.

The other elves' bracelets beeped, and 5 small, glowing dots dimmed.

"SHIT! HE IS AN ASSASSIN!!" The person who seemed to be the leader, with Low 4-star strength, shouted and charged toward Leo while drawing his sword and summoning his two beasts.

The first was a majestic stag with dark-green fur and enormous antlers wrapped in moving vines.

Vinehorn Stag (Low 4-star) - Noble Bloodline

The second was a slender, smaller wolf with deep emerald fur, leaf-shaped markings, and bright green eyes.

Emeraldfang Gale Wolf (Peak 3-star) - Super Bloodline

Both were wood-element beasts, and Leo was surprised to realise that Elves seemed to have a good arsenal of wood beasts, unlike humans, since many other elves also summoned beasts with the wood element.

Many arrows had already been fired in Leo's direction, but he was least bothered and simply pointed at the beasts.

"Shyra, handle them."

He simply said as something flickered around him, though nothing was visible in the dense canopy. The next moment, even he disappeared, making the arrows pass through empty air.

By now, people like Aaron and Ronan had also arrived with terrifying grins plastered on their faces in hopes of a good battle. Especially Ronan; his fire would definitely be more effective agaisnt wood.

Marco was already charging with his Mammoth like a battering ram toward another formation of 5 students, while Lyra had already planned to target the defenceless people at the back who had come as support.

With her lightning-like movement speed, she effortlessly rotated around the Elven group's formation from deep inside the forest and charged headfirst.

Leo actually stepped back for a while, wanting to see how they would act. Kaelion was also running beside Ronan and Aaron to be a frontline fighter and tanker, while Lily remained on Skyreaver's back, holding the mystical cube beacon like an overseer so that nobody was eliminated.

The beacons couldn't be placed in any spatial storage, nor was it allowed to do so, meaning people were forced to keep them on display while they fought.

But the elves were no less capable; with Leo having been temporarily withdrawn from the fight, they actually managed to hold things together.

Since Leo had already taken out 5 capable fighters to cover for his and Lily's absence from the fight, things turned out to be equal.

Clang!

Lyra's rapier clashed with another longsword-wielding elf just inches before reaching a terrified alchemist's neck, as the alchemist stumbled on his feet and fell back.

"GO BACK! I WILL HANDLE HER!" the male elf shouted with gritted teeth, already grimacing at the sudden loss of 5 men.

But the next second, Lyra twisted her body and spun around the elf's hand.

Slash! Slash! Slash!

Lyra blurred in the elf's vision, and all of a sudden, he found his sword-holding arm incised from all angles.

When she was about to stab the back of his head, his instincts flared, and he ducked sideways while giving a low-angle sweep at her abdomen with a sudden turn. The wounds on his hands were already healing because someone from the backline that Lyra had targeted previously was already doing his work.

She was actually dealing with the 7th-ranked student of Lunareth Academy; it was natural that he wouldn't be brought down so easily.

For others, the leader was already locked in battle with Kaelion while his beasts were fighting something invisible. The wolf was already on the verge of dying, with cuts burning bright purple and covering its body. The only thing keeping them intact was their healing abilities.

"Y-you are quite strong!" the elf leader said to Kaelion.

"Is that your stealthy beast engaging my beasts? What happened to your assassin? Did he consume all his mana at once to initiate that surprise attack?" the elf leader asked, trying to distract Kaelion with words to find an opening.

"I do need to commend your assassin; he is strong!"

At once, leaving aside the humans and elves, more than 15 beasts appeared in the area, even in the sky, as 2 flying beasts aimed to attack the Skyreaver.

But at that time, they had forgotten their first target, who seemed to have been lost during the sudden turn of events.

And then, he appeared again.

Shinnnggg!

The 2 bird beasts heading toward the Skyreaver were suddenly struck by something impossibly fast as they disappeared in white light.

Outside the stadium, a man with deep-brown hair and a middle-aged appearance was cheering loudly.

"Woohoo! Uraan! Show them the might of the Hurricane family!" he shouted triumphantly.

He turned toward a blonde-haired man with similar looks, who was looking a bit grumpy.

"Ehehe, my son defeated someone before your daughter. Pay up!" the blonde man was Lyra's father.

Somehow, these old folks were always eager to bet on anything.

"Tsk, what's there in defeating ignorant, mindless beasts? Put him against someone and see who my daughter will be first. She almost defeated that 7th-rank elf before."

"Almost and confirmed are two different things. Pay up now before I deliver a letter to my son for making advances on your daughter!"

"Fuck you!"

"Fuck you too!"
