Chapter 3011: Chapter 3012: Do Not Eat!
Bai Ruozhu actually wasn’t that flustered. Fortunately, Ao Song knew she was inside and would probably find a way to let her out. Right now she couldn’t afford to panic, in case she alerted the Zhong Family people and caused Ao Song more trouble.
It was broad daylight, and Ao Song wouldn’t be able to return so soon—he’d probably have to wait until dark to come over. She was bored with nothing to do, so she simply retraced her steps and went back to the place at the very end of the Secret Chamber where the Taisui had emerged.
Just now she had stayed inside the Space the whole time and hadn’t been able to properly examine that area; maybe she’d find something if she took a look now.
Besides, when she went back to where she had been before, the Glyphs on the ground had completely vanished. This place looked just like an ordinary Underground stone chamber, with nothing special about it.
But when she reached out and touched the rock of the Wall, she immediately sensed something different.
These weren’t ordinary rocks at all—there were faint Magic Technique fluctuations inside. Either the material itself was special, or it had been reinforced with Magic Techniques. It should be soundproof and extremely sturdy; otherwise, the surges caused by eating the Taisui meat might have alerted the people above or destroyed a normal Stone Chamber.
She walked to the middle of the Stone Chamber again and stomped on the stone slabs under her feet. They didn’t budge in the slightest, without even a hairline crack, as if they had never split open before.
This actually wasn’t all that miraculous—at least Jiuli’s Mechanical Technique could pull it off, and Jiuli wasn’t the only lineage in the world that knew Mechanical Technique.
All of a sudden, Quanxin flew out from the Space, hopping up and down in excitement, and said to Bai Ruozhu, "I’m going to go take a bite out of it, just one bite."
"How are you going to get there?" Bai Ruozhu asked.
"Anywhere there’s water, I can go. It’s damp Underground; it’s lying very deep down." Quanxin was raring to give it a try.
"Won’t you alarm the Zhong Family people? Don’t you dare drag me down with you." Bai Ruozhu looked at it suspiciously.
Quanxin flew a circle around her. "If it could alarm the Zhong Family, would someone have been able to secretly cut off such a big chunk of it? Don’t worry. As long as you hide yourself, they won’t find you, and they won’t be able to catch me."
Bai Ruozhu was still a bit worried. "You’re not going to cause trouble for the Zhong Family, right? Even if you don’t trick me, you can’t drag the Zhong Family into it."
"It’s just a tiny bite, what trouble could that cause?" Quanxin said unhappily.
Bai Ruozhu’s eyelids suddenly twitched. She reached out and grabbed it. "No way. Ao Song already got hit by backlash last time—what if you take a bite and she gets hit by backlash again? You say ’one bite’; you really think you’ll be able to stop then?"
"Let me go! Don’t go too far—you’re not even my master." Quanxin cried out in displeasure.
Bai Ruozhu held it tight and refused to let go. "If you can go down there, doesn’t that mean anything similar to you can go too?"
"What do you mean ’similar’? I am Quanxin, a Heavenly and Earthly Spirit," Quanxin said indignantly.
Bai Ruozhu directly tossed it back into the Space. "If you eat that thing, all you’ll do is spit out some Spiritual Liquid. If you don’t eat it, you’re not going to die. Don’t mess around."
"Who says so? Taisui meat is a huge tonic for us; it can raise the level of a Heavenly and Earthly Spirit. Maybe after that I’ll be able to go anywhere I want, completely free." Quanxin laughed excitedly, not realizing at all that it had just let something slip.
Bai Ruozhu didn’t insist on locking it up or refusing to let it leave; back then, it had been the one shamelessly begging to stay in the Space. But she absolutely couldn’t let it eat the Taisui meat—what if Ao Song got hurt again?
She didn’t know what exactly the connection between Ao Song and Taisui was, and she couldn’t figure it out in a short time, but she had to be extremely cautious. She couldn’t allow her friend to get hurt.
Buzz...
A strange sound suddenly rang out, and the Underground began to tremble slightly. It was the Taisui hidden Underground!
