Chapter 393: Chapter 393: Mr. Grant Appears (1)

"So, Miss Faulkner came with a purpose today. I wonder what you mean by that?" Seraphina Sterling stopped in her tracks and looked at Aiden Faulkner, who was sitting beside Justin Hale.

"Young lady," Walter Sterling chimed in, "what do you mean by ’profitable’?" He couldn’t quite figure out what was going on either.

Aiden Faulkner gave a faint smile, the very picture of a polished heiress. "Mr. Sterling, you may not enjoy shopping, so you might not be aware. There’s a very popular line of jewelry right now, made from the shards of antique porcelain. It’s incredibly sought-after, and the prices are quite high. Across all of Aethelgard—no, I should say, across all of Apex—it’s only sold in two places. One is an antique shop called Apex Collections, and the other is the Gallagher Family’s Jade Pavilion. You’re a veteran of the business world, Mr. Sterling. I don’t need to spell out the kind of profits involved; I’m sure you can imagine."

Walter Sterling nodded, his fox-like eyes narrowing. "If it’s currently in vogue and only has those two sales channels, the profits would naturally be immense. But what does this have to do with Seraphina? She just started college and has never set foot in the business world. This matter shouldn’t have anything to do with her, right?"

Aiden Faulkner smiled. "Mr. Sterling, there’s something you don’t know. Seraphina Sterling is more capable than you think! The designer of this incredibly popular line, Ancient Charm Porcelain Ornaments, is none other than Seraphina Sterling herself!"

All eyes in the room turned to Seraphina Sterling. Ancient Charm Porcelain Ornaments—everyone here had heard of it, except for Walter Sterling. Even Justin Hale, who rarely went shopping, had often heard his employees discussing it.

The jewelry industry had been a whirlwind of promotions recently, and while they seemed impressive, the most profitable player was actually Jade Pavilion. Jade and Ancient Charm Porcelain Ornaments were its two profit-generating giants. Although jade jewelry commanded high prices, its profit margins were definitely not as high as those of Ancient Charm Porcelain Ornaments. Jade Pavilion, leveraging its exclusive authorization, also implemented a limited supply strategy. For something that was already incredibly popular, this created a situation where demand far outstripped supply. The fashion-conscious flocked to it, and of course, sales were explosive.

Apex Collections, in turn, had used this to make a name for itself, carving out its own market in Aethelgard’s antique world through unconventional means and growing at a rapid pace. And to think, the designer of Ancient Charm Porcelain Ornaments was actually Seraphina Sterling!

"You really are concerned about me, Miss Faulkner, to know so much," Seraphina said, her tone laced with sarcasm. "Very few people in the business world even know about this. The Faulkner Family doesn’t primarily focus on jewelry—and even if you do, it’s just a few small counters that aren’t your responsibility. It’s quite impressive that you managed to dig this up." That Aiden Faulkner could find this out truly was beyond Seraphina Sterling’s expectations.

"Since you’re the designer of Timeless Charm, how could you forget your own family on such a profitable venture! You can authorize Apex Collections and Jade Pavilion, so you can authorize us, too. While the Faulkner Family hasn’t focused on jewelry in the past, the company recently decided to expand into this sector, and I’ve been put in charge of it. Since Ancient Charm Porcelain Ornaments is so popular, it’s the perfect breakthrough opportunity. Whatever profit margin Apex Collections and Jade Pavilion are giving you, The Faulkner Group is willing to match it. With such a lucrative business, you can’t let all the money go to outsiders, can you?"

Aiden Faulkner’s tone was magnanimous, as if what she was saying was only natural. It was as though Seraphina Sterling was obligated to grant her the authorization, to simply hand over this incredibly profitable business to The Faulkner Group.

Seraphina Sterling wanted to laugh. ’I really don’t know where she gets this confidence, this overwhelming self-assurance.’ "Besides Apex Collections and Jade Pavilion, I have no intention of authorizing any other companies for Ancient Charm Porcelain Ornaments. Miss Faulkner, you should stop thinking about it. If The Faulkner Group truly wants to expand into the jewelry business, wouldn’t acquiring a company be much faster than obtaining a single authorization? There are so many jewelry companies in Aethelgard—some are strong, others are on the brink of bankruptcy. It all depends on your eye for business, Miss Faulkner. For The Faulkner Group to develop its jewelry sector, that is undoubtedly the swiftest and most effective method."
