A Vampire's Guide To Summoning Demons (BL)
Chapter 117
Chapter 117: Chapter 117
Ruoxi hung one of the Vampire’s leg over his shoulder, his robes slipping down. He was impatient to continue their conversation, dissatisfaction brewing in his middle.
Cubi were polyamorous in nature but he couldn’t in good faith keep his resolved imbalance a secret from Dulce. He also had no interest in anyone else, ignoring his mother’s tries to get him to feed on energy from someone, anyone, worried about him.
Perhaps that might change in a few months or years but Ruoxi only knew how to live in the present... He lifted his gaze, a slight bulge poking his cheek.
Dulce’s slender back was arched high enough to ruck up his dress shirt even further, most of his face out of view.
Ruoxi swallowed when the Vampire spilled down his tongue, feeling him go limp in his arms. The Vampire had fainted away anyway.
With a dark light in his gold eyes, he adjusted his clothing and gathered him into his arms, thoughtful. For someone who had fainted from sheer pleasure, he had been terribly quiet about it.
He studied Dulce’s face, catching the glistening of tears clinging to his pale lashes, his parted lips bitten raw. He watched the bloody bruises heal under his eyes, reminded of when Dulce had bitten through his own arm to remain quiet.
His expression darkened at the thought of it, his gaze drifting outside the window.
Dulce roused in a short time, his expression placid. He remained quiet for a good long while after his eyes fluttered open, saying nothing.
Ruoxi simply watched him, thinking that the Vampire was still out of it. He was even more curious about the Vampire’s past but he wouldn’t get any answers, solely because Dulce couldn’t remember.
"I would feed you if you weren’t hungry," Dulce blurted out, having put a lot of thought into it.
Ruoxi paused in surprise, the response pulling a chuckle out of him. The Vampire was endlessly strange, there was no end to his surprises. "You’re aware that then it is no longer for survival?" He asked, a depthless fondness to his voice.
With his internal imbalance fixed, and the backlash resolved, Dulce was no longer drained after the Incubus ate. If anything, there was more color to his complexion, one even the silver light of the moon couldn’t hide.
"As long as it’s not for love," Dulce said steadily, treating the conversation with the same lightness and care he did most things.
Ruoxi fell silent, the clarification stung, which was rather greedy of him when he was certain he would grow out of his interest in Dulce. Love was unimportant to his kind but he wanted everything from Dulce, even more than he was already given.
How strange, he was never one to be so greedy.
"Why?" He finally spoke.
"Love is not mine to have," The Vampire explained simply, but there was an ancient emotion in his eyes, one that opened into emptiness. "I can give what I don’t have."
Ruoxi’s response was to rise to his feet with Dulce in his arms, gently placing him on the bed. "I’ll get us flower wine. I’ll drink with you." He said, warping away.
Dulce’s protest died on his tongue, he remembered that Ruoxi couldn’t have wine because of how susceptible the Demon was to it, but it was too late now.
His thoughts drifted in his absence, his wasn’t worried about his increasing number of intimate relationships. Aware that the summoned Demons would ultimately leave, they were from different worlds and he had taken them from theirs.
Rather, he was caught up in thoughts about when the right time was to inform either Demon, although when they returned to Earth it would hardly be a secret.
Ruoxi returned with several jugs of wine, the delicately shaped jugs all strung up with a cord to be carried around more easily. He placed them next to the bed and offered a jug to Dulce.
"Can you have wine?" Dulce asked in concern even as he took the jug.
The Incubus held out a little floral teacup, "Humor me."
Dulce didn’t hesitate to fill up the cup, they were already on a bed, Ruoxi couldn’t get hurt even if he got drunk.
Ruoxi didn’t drink from his cup, waiting expectantly for Dulce to drink first. Huayuan flower wine was incredibly potent, a simple teacup would be enough to make him weave on his feet.
Dulce however drank down the entire jug easily, beaming. "It’s so delicious."
Ruoxi glumly watched the Vampire go through jugs of wine while nursing his little teacup. Once he had been able to outdrink Qingyi and now he could barely stomach a teacup.
Suddenly hit with an epiphany, he reached over the bed to take a jug. If he kept drinking in sips, he would never recover his greatness...
Dulce slowly brought down the jug from his lips, concerned curiosity in his silver-blue eyes as he saw Ruoxi lift a carafe of flower wine with determination in his eyes.
To his surprise, the Incubus emptied the entire jug, immediately reaching for another. He didn’t get far, sprawling across the bed, completely out cold.
He stared at the Demon laying on his back, soft laughter spilling from him. Placing his jug to the side, Dulce got him comfortable on the bed, right before moving the jugs closer to the window so he could drink through the night.
By morning, he was hanging half-outside the window, every single jug emptied, sunlight spilling into the room to the both of them inebriated.
Lihua was the one to find them, a gentle smile on her face as she walked over to pick up the Vampire. She already knew a bit of his strange ability to tolerate the sun, so she was unsurprised to see him unscathed despite being awash in sunlight, equally unsurprised to find him drunk.
She dropped him on the bed next to her child, silently cleaning out the empty jugs. Ruoxi was still young, it was good for him to live out a handful of strange experiences.
