Chapter 1411: Chapter 1411: Don’t Touch Me

Chapter 1411

Mu Yan didn’t want to lose her temper, nor did she want to bring up that matter with him. But seeing his indifferent demeanor, she couldn’t control her emotions.

If he really didn’t like children, he could just tell her directly; would she force him?

Why keep it from her and give her birth control pills? Doesn’t he know that the pills could harm her health?

Or does it mean he doesn’t love her at all?

Negative emotions spread like a virus, rapidly infiltrating Mu Yan’s mind.

The overwhelming discomfort was unprecedented, submerging her completely.

She knew she shouldn’t doubt his love, yet the facts were as they were.

Resentment gathered in her eyes, anger burned in her heart. She glared at him, her hands turned white from clenching her fists tightly.

Jiang Jingheng looked at her, saying nothing.

They stared at each other in silence for a long time, and the whole space seemed to have frozen.

Mu Yan felt utterly wronged. Seeing him remain silent only fueled her rage.

Was he silent because he felt guilty? Because he didn’t dare to speak?

Yes, after doing such a thing to her, how could he dare to speak?

Suddenly, she stood up and walked towards the stairway.

Jiang Jingheng just watched her leave, not following her.

His light brown eyes seemed clouded, revealing nothing of his emotions.

Yu Ma heard the argument and came out of the kitchen. Seeing Jiang Jingheng sitting alone at the dining table, she hesitated and said, "Young Master, Young Madam hasn’t been feeling well lately, and her mood isn’t good. Please be more understanding towards her."

Jiang Jingheng remained silent, picking up his chopsticks to continue eating.

But before the food reached his mouth, he placed it back into the bowl and asked, "Is the bird’s nest porridge ready?"

"It’s ready, I’ll go serve it," Yu Ma replied. Seeing Jiang Jingheng still cared about Mu Yan, she felt slightly relieved.

She turned towards the kitchen, but just as she reached the door, Jiang Jingheng’s voice came from behind.

"Has your son found a job?"

Yu Ma’s expression changed subtly. She turned back to meet Jiang Jingheng’s sharp light brown eyes, and the piercing gaze made her tremble, not daring to meet his eyes.

She averted her gaze and quietly said, "Yes, he has found one. Thank you for your concern, Young Master."

"Hmm." Jiang Jingheng withdrew his gaze and continued eating.

Yu Ma glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. Seeing his indifferent demeanor, she felt slightly at ease and turned to enter the kitchen.

Jiang Jingheng suddenly looked up at the kitchen doorway, then his gaze fell back on the spot Mu Yan had just been sitting, his brows furrowing slightly. With no appetite, he put the chopsticks down.

Upstairs, Mu Yan sat on the bed, her mind in chaos, though most of it was anger towards Jiang Jingheng.

He had seen her angry, yet he didn’t come to coax her.

He wasn’t like this before. Could it be true what the news said, that he had another woman?

So he didn’t want her to have his child?

No, it’s impossible.

He wouldn’t treat her like that.

She seemed trapped in a dead-end, growing more upset the more she thought about it, tears streaming down her face. Initially a silent cry, it turned into sobs, louder and louder.

She knew she wasn’t usually the emotional type, but when emotions surged, she simply couldn’t control them.

Jiang Jingheng carried the bird’s nest porridge upstairs, and as he approached the bedroom door, he heard the crying inside.

He pushed the door open and saw Mu Yan sitting on the bed, hugging her knees and sobbing.

He came in, placed the porridge on the table, and sat beside her, pulling her into his arms.

Unexpectedly, as soon as he touched her, she pushed him away, glared at him, and said, "Go hug your little mistress, don’t touch me."
