A Farmer's Journey To Immortality

Chapter 619: Achieving Aurous Body Realm Breakthrough P2

Chapter 619: Achieving Aurous Body Realm Breakthrough P2

At this point, Aksai was still surrounded by the warmth of his breakthrough, carrying the scent of burnt Qi and rebirth through metamorphosis.

He stood up from his meditation spot, the stone floor beneath him cracked into distinct spiderwebs under the pressure of his movement.

He took a deep breath, flexing his shoulders and rolling his neck. His entire body felt lighter, yet every muscle buzzed with abundance of strength.

When he stepped out of the farmhouse and into the wide backyard, the sky above reflected the calmness of the eternal twilight zone.

Aksai clenched his fists and tightened his stance. A sharp crackle ran through his body — bones shifting, joints releasing, muscles snapping into harmony.

The sound was like lightning rolling through his veins. He smiled faintly, enjoying the new strength surging within him.

“Damn. It feels good. I think being in good shape is the solution to most of life’s problems,” he muttered.

Thanks to his recent breakthrough into the Aurous Realm, he felt as if he no longer needed to worry too much about the coming attacks of the Kalingoot back in his homeworld.

It wasn’t that his problems had lessened after the breakthrough — but with a stronger body, he had gained the confidence to face them with renewed zeal.

The spirit farmer tapped his chest lightly, activating the Qi Shell Tattoo engraved beneath his skin. A ripple of energy spread outward, and a glowing emerald formation appeared in the air.

The ground trembled. The space in front of him began to distort as Qi gathered rapidly into shape. A second later, the massive form of the Verdant Elder emerged — a hybrid beast of turtle and tortoise origin, its shell covered in moss-like patterns that glowed gold under the sunlight.

The creature was now even larger than before — three stories tall, its presence carrying a powerful pressure that stirred the nearby Spirit plants.

Aksai watched the swirling Qi form take shape, and then raised his hand. A small wisp of soft purple light appeared on his palm — his Aether Wisp, the soul of the Verdant Elder.

“Wake up, my turtle friend,” he said quietly.

The Aether Wisp drifted forward and sank into the beast’s forehead. Instantly, the swirling Qi body stabilized. The glow faded, replaced by real flesh and blood.

The turtle’s shell distinctly displayed golden veins as life returned to its eyes. The sound of heavy breathing and the low rumble of a growl was heard.

The Verdant Elder moved — his steps shaking the ground. He lifted his head and let out a deep, earth-shaking roar that echoed through the fields. He was conveying his joy after his successful breakthrough into the Aurous realm along with Aksai.

Aksai smiled up at him. “Since we both reached the Aurous Realm,” he said, “how about a spar to test our limits?”

The beast’s eyes gleamed, and it let out a second, shorter roar — a sound full of excitement and readiness.

Aksai’s golden Qi flared around him as his feet slid across the ground. “No Spirit spells, no Aether powers,” he reminded. “Only Qi and body.”

The Verdant Elder lowered his stance, his massive limbs digging into the soil. The first move came from Aksai — a sudden dash that left a faint golden trail behind him. His fist slammed against the beast’s front leg, sending a shockwave through the air.

The Verdant Elder responded immediately. Thick, vine-like appendages shot out from the shell on his back, whipping toward Aksai with surprising speed.

Aksai twisted his body midair, dodging two of them before blocking the third with his palm. The impact sent a rush of Qi through his arms, making his bones hum.

The beast didn’t stop. Its snaketail whipped around from behind, the snake’s mouth at the tip spitting a burst of fire. The flames rushed toward Aksai. He countered instantly — a faint green glow covered his body.

[Druid’s Blessing: Fire Resistance]

The flames hit, but the barrier of natural Qi absorbed most of the heat. Aksai dashed through it, his fists and legs striking in rhythm, each hit carrying golden ripples.

The ground cracked with every exchange. The Verdant Elder swung its massive limbs, while Aksai dodged, struck, and weaved between attacks.

His Aurous powered movement technique — [Qi Flow Arts] — let him glide effortlessly through the beast’s range, every step flowing like water, every strike sharp as a blade.

But even with his speed, the beast’s defense was solid. Whenever Aksai aimed for a weak spot, the Verdant Elder tucked behind his massive shell, letting the blows glance off harmlessly.

Minutes passed. Dust rose. Craters formed. Neither gained a clear advantage.

Aksai stepped back, breathing hard but smiling. “You’ve grown strong,” he said, panting. Then his Qi flared once again as he activated another technique.

[Druid’s Blessing: Druid’s Heart]

His heartbeat thundered in his ears, loud and deep. His golden Qi brightened, and his movements became sharper, faster, stronger.

The world seemed to slow down around him. Every breath of the Verdant Elder, every twitch of its limbs, became clear in his perception.

Aksai dashed forward, his golden aura exploding outward. His fists struck like falling meteors — one after another, relentless and precise.

The beast tried to defend, but the power difference was clear now. The vines snapped, the shell cracked slightly, and the beast stumbled backward.

One final blow landed straight on the beast’s chest. The Verdant Elder roared in defeat before lowering his massive head in acknowledgment.

Aksai took a few steps back, his body steaming with exertion. He exhaled, the golden light around him dimming. “Good fight,” he said with a grin.

The beast’s eyes softened, and it bowed.

“Yeah. This… this should be enough for now. We’ll get to use our incoming enemies as whetstones soon anyway.”

Aksai raised his hand and snapped his fingers. The Aether Wisp floated out from the beast’s body, and the Verdant Elder’s form began to fade back into pure Qi. The green light swirled before disappearing into the Qi Shell Tattoo once more.

He stretched his neck and sighed. “Let’s eat,” he said, walking toward the farmhouse. But before he could step inside, a spectral notification appeared before him.

He froze in his tracks and read it.

[Spirit Farming Points spent: 99,393]

[Spirit Farming Points remaining: 3,069]

“Hmm?”

His expression shifted from calm to curious.

“So many Spirit Farming Points spent in one go? What is my dear Yelia up to now?”

He murmured to himself as he finally decided to check what his Artifact Spirit was doing.
