Chapter 2751: Chapter 1863: Corrosion

When will the world be destroyed?

For most people, they’ve never thought about this question, and even if they have, they probably expect there to be some kind of sign first.

But sometimes, the destruction of the world happens without any warning.

Just like now.

Duanmu Huai walked down the street, hands in his pockets, humming a tune. Around him, the smooth road was as usual, but everything else had already changed its appearance. Houses were covered in flesh, wires pulled into the air had turned into twisted, organ-like things. The sky was a bright red, and as far as the eye could see, the whole world seemed to have turned into the inside of a gigantic organism.

This reminded Duanmu Huai of an animated series he had seen before which personified the cells inside the human body. In that series, cells worked, lived, supplied nutrients, and maintained the human body’s survival in a manner similar to humans. And now this world seemed like a real version of that animation.

On both sides of the street, he could see writhing flesh masses, varying in size, with blood-red eyes and pitch-black cavities. They moved, coagulated, and merged on the ground like deshelled snails. Duanmu Huai didn’t know what the world looked like through their eyes, but it surely wasn’t the same as what he saw.

But he didn’t care about such trivial matters.

Because he had already found his target.

"Aaah—!"

A piercing scream echoed through the sky, startling a flock of birds. They flapped their featherless meat wings, letting out ear-piercing screams, spewing murky green mucus from their mouths, and circling endlessly in the air. But regarding this sound, Duanmu Huai merely raised an eyebrow and continued walking forward.

Ever since he performed the ritual to summon the Son of the Black Goat to this world, engulfing everything here, this sound had been ringing. Clearly, it was very painful and agitated. Its voice echoed throughout the world, no matter where Duanmu Huai went, he could always hear it.

Thus, he traversed mountains and waters, crossed the blood-red ocean, walked over lands covered with heavy fungal mats, increasingly closer to that sound.

During this process, Duanmu Huai witnessed the extinction of humans in this world.

It wasn’t like an invasion by some demon, nor was it a corrupting plague, but a kind of symbiosis—countless creatures of the Black Goat, the source of all life in the universe, everything came from it, and everything would return to it.

People began to change.

Their flesh twisted, cognition modified, everything around them gradually changed appearance. Even clearly inorganic creations became covered with flesh, becoming part of life. Duanmu Huai saw firsthand how the bodies of those humans changed—not like a pollutant plague, but more like a transformation at the genetic level.

Everything used to fix the original form was dissolved, the supporting bones, forming muscles and internal organs, and even the skin maintaining the exterior. What should be distinct parts, were like melted wax candles, stirred back together. What’s worse is that during this process, people remained conscious, maintaining awareness.

They wouldn’t turn into zombies, nor would they change their minds like cult followers of an Evil God, worshipping heretical doctrine. They had only two choices — either watch helplessly and endure the agonizing reality, or go mad and become part of the supreme Outer God.

In fact, few people could hold out until the end, and most only persisted until their bodies hadn’t completely mutated. Some chose to commit suicide, but that proved ineffective. Even after death, their bodies continued to mutate and twist. This was not a virus, nor some sort of...threat, it was simply a part of life, and its goal was very simple.

Procreation.

"Aaah—!"

The scream arose again, and Duanmu Huai lifted his head, looking ahead.

"Is the Spirit Race’s Death God not yet born? Could it be a difficult birth? Will Obsessive Sin die of massive bleeding on stage before it even appears?"

If that’s the case, it saves him from having to take action himself.

Thinking of this, Duanmu Huai let out a cold laugh. He chose Shabu Nicolas as the summoning target for a very simple reason: as one of the most powerful Outer Gods, Shabu Nicolas was relatively straightforward. It only cared about procreation and nothing else.

On the other hand, if Duanmu Huai summoned Yog Sothoth or Nyarlathotep, and if they teamed up with Cunning Deception, then...Mad, just one of these entities is enough to cause a headache, forming a scheming alliance would simply be unbearable.

Alright, it’s almost time to reach the place.

Duanmu Huai continued forward, crossing through the silent streets, arriving in front of a luxurious building. This building was also covered with flesh, transformed into a twisted, bizarre form. Only some gilded decorations on the exterior barely remained, a show of its owner’s remnants.

Yes, one could imagine, originally that pervert should be here, eating hotpot and singing songs, enjoying the pleasures of deviance while awaiting the showdown with himself.

Who would have thought Duanmu Huai would be so shameless, poisoning—no, adding hastening drugs to his meal!

"Ah----------------!!!"

From the horn covered in flesh and blood, a piercing scream echoed once again. The sound was so sharp that if it were heard by mortals, they might just explode where they stood. However, Duanmu Huai merely shook his ears and then tightened his grip on the War Hammer in his hand.

"Open the door, Tribunal emergency!"

Duanmu Huai roared, then kicked open the large door and charged into the building!

"Boom!"

The heavy wooden door emitted a deep sound akin to a slab of meat as Duanmu Huai kicked it and stepped inside. Looking forward, this place seemed to have been a great theater, yet now, the surrounding stands had completely vanished into oblivion. On the central stage, Duanmu Huai could see a handsome young man lying painfully on the ground. His abdomen was bulging high, as if he were pregnant. And on the inner side of the swollen belly, hands and feet could be seen protruding, even a face pressed firmly against it.

However, the young man’s belly seemed like a piece of incredibly tough plastic, regardless of the struggle within, there was no indication of anything coming out.

Upon witnessing this, Duanmu Huai clasped both hands.

"Congratulations, warrior, rejoice, warrior, you’re expecting! And it’s a big, chubby boy!"

Hearing Duanmu Huai’s voice, the young man’s body trembled, glaring at him ferociously. Duanmu Huai, on the other hand, chuckled.

"Warrior, do not rush, do not agitate the fetus. Even if not for yourself, think about the child in your belly..."

"You--------!"

At this moment, Obsessive Sin stared at Duanmu Huai with tiger eyes wide open, furious beyond measure, wishing to tear him apart on the spot, eat his flesh, and drink his blood!

Of the current Evil Gods, the one with the highest hatred towards Duanmu Huai is indeed Obsessive Sin.

If it were Brutal Wrath, Obsessive Sin wouldn’t despise it as much, because the battle and slaughter it represents also bring pleasure.

However, Duanmu Huai is different; he is the God of Destruction, everything in his hands becomes ultimately destroyed. No joy, no sorrow, no hatred, no anger, no fear, no emotion at all, everything gets utterly consumed, burned, and then disappears. Thus, although Brutal Wrath battles him the most, the one who wants him dead is Obsessive Sin.

No happiness, no pain, everything is void—even emptiness can’t be felt. For Obsessive Sin, pursuing sensory stimulation and emotional extremes, there’s no existence more hateful than destruction.

Initially arriving in this world, Obsessive Sin quite liked it because it could feel those humans’ desires in this world raging like flames. Hence, it tried all means to make these humans fulfill their desires and send the feedback back.

And in doing so, Obsessive Sin could leverage these human emotions not only to suppress but even reverse control the Spirit Race’s Death God, making it serve itself!

Initially, things went rather smoothly, but then, the situation changed.

The human emotions that previously flowed towards it slowly started altering; the complex emotions challenging the limits of desire became twisted, transformed into pure pain and nameless ignorance, followed by a burgeoning reproductive urge!

Therefore, at this moment, Obsessive Sin felt immense suffering; the ceaseless influx of human emotions entered its body like oxytocin to forcefully expedite the Spirit Race’s Death God’s expulsion. Yet, Obsessive Sin resisted bitterly, knowing well that once the Spirit Race’s Death God was born, its strength would drop significantly!

The reason is simple, Obsessive Sin is birthed from the Spirit Race, and their souls form the crucial part of its strength. But the Spirit Race’s Death God’s birth signifies the Spirit Race’s extinction, akin to how a fetus absorbs nutrients from the mother within, the Spirit Race’s Death God would deplete most Spirit Race souls, making Obsessive Sin’s strength incredibly weak.

Of course, everything has pros and cons. If Obsessive Sin could survive this catastrophe, it would become even more powerful. Because essentially, Obsessive Sin is still a Spirit Clan God. But if it excludes the Spirit Race’s souls, it will morph into a pure conceptual God.

However... it’s evident that Duanmu Huai won’t allow it this opportunity.

"Seems like your labor isn’t going smoothly."

Duanmu Huai strode towards the center stage, a fleeting bloodthirsty coldness in his eyes.

"Then I’ll do you a favor........"

As Duanmu Huai spoke, the Chainsaw Sword conjured by shadows appeared in his hand, rumbling and roaring.

"Give you a cesarean without anesthesia!"
