Chapter 2725: Chapter 1842: Entering the Tiger’s Den?

"I see these soldiers are well-trained, very professional, definitely not the kind of rabble. Look, when they hold their guns, their fingers are on the outside of the trigger, and the muzzles are pointed at the ground. But I’ve never seen the type of firearm they are using..."

"Military nerds are so gross."

Upon hearing this, the twin-tailed girl rolled her eyes.

"But didn’t that woman say that once we enter the Tribunal, we’ll never be able to leave again? Is this really okay?"

"Maybe we can entrust Little Alice to them?"

As the leading young boy said this, the group fell into a subtle silence. From a certain perspective, this might indeed be the best solution, and they felt these people wouldn’t do anything to a little girl.

But... that’s under normal circumstances. Now, the entire world has already collapsed, laws and rules have vanished.

Who knows if they will rescue such a little girl? Or might find her problematic and just abandon her, letting her die somewhere? Not to mention the high possibility they might assume the child is infected...

"No matter what, we can’t just watch this child die in vain."

Finally, a black-haired girl made a decision, and hearing this courageous decision from the black-haired girl, the others did not object but resolutely nodded their heads. After all, they were still young and couldn’t bear to see an innocent life end in their hands.

They once again walked to the short-haired woman and nodded towards her.

"We’ve decided; please save this child."

"Alright, since you’ve decided, I won’t say more."

The short-haired woman shrugged and turned around.

"Follow me."

With that, she walked to the other side of the street.

The group followed the short-haired woman, nervously entering a nearby hotel. However, they soon found things were not quite as they had imagined. Pushing open the door and stepping into the hotel lobby, the survivors could see several soldiers dressed in military uniforms drinking tea and chatting by the tables, appearing quite leisurely. Not far away, there were a few young children running and jumping around playing, while beside them were two girls about the same age taking care of them.

The whole setup inside the hotel appeared very lively, peaceful, and calming, making the survivors feel as if they were back to those busy and peaceful times upon stepping through the door, rather than in a world ruled by death, chaos, and terror.

"Yo, Mikazuki."

The group walked into the lobby, quickly seeing a man sitting behind the counter waving to her and then directing his attention to the young boys and girls.

"What’s their situation? Has the Great Judge not returned yet?"

"They are survivors, chased outside the defense line by zombies, and one of their companions is severely ill, hoping we can help with treatment."

"So you brought them in?"

Hearing the short-haired woman’s reply, the middle-aged man was greatly surprised, looking at her with bewilderment, while the short-haired woman let out a snort.

"What? I didn’t hide anything; I told them already that once you join the Tribunal, you can’t leave, and after discussing for a while, they decided to join."

"Uh... you didn’t tell them the situation of the Tribunal?"

"I did, I said it at that time, would you believe it?"

"Ahahaha..."

Facing the short-haired woman’s rebuttal, the man shyly grinned and scratched his head.

"Anyway, the child is quite ill, is Miss Lorena or Miss Medea here?"

"Miss Lorena took Class Three out for training, Miss Medea is in her room."

"Class Three was taken out by Miss Lorena for training? They must be quite unlucky."

"Indeed... I’ll inform Miss Medea; you guys can go over first."

"Okay."

The short-haired woman nodded, then gestured to the survivors.

"Follow me."

"........."

With the heavily ill girl, the group walked into the hotel, glancing around in confusion. To be honest, after hearing the short-haired woman’s caution earlier, they thought the Tribunal was some terrifying organization, but at least now, this group seemed normal, with an amiable atmosphere and nothing particularly strange...

No, there was something odd.

As the group turned around the hallway corner, they saw in a place originally for a lounge, positioned centrally was an eerie object—a skull and War Hammer, looking like a statue. Candles were lit beside it, and the whole lounge was decorated like some sort of chapel.

Even the short-haired woman, as she passed by, turned and crossed her hands over her chest and bowed slightly in front of the eerie object.

"........."

The group exchanged glances, feeling somewhat uneasy now.

Passing through the lounge, the group came to a guest room on the interior of the first floor, where the short-haired woman stepped forward and knocked on the door, followed by a gentle voice.

"Please come in."

"Sorry to disturb you."

As she spoke, the short-haired woman opened the door, leading the group inside.

To the survivors’ surprise, the place looked as if it were just a regular room like a sickroom, rather than something resembling a medical office, while a foreign girl who appeared younger than them and had light purple hair sat in the chair. She stared curiously at the survivors, then asked.

"Who’s sick?"

"It’s this child."

At this point, the woman dressed as a doctor from the survivors led the young girl over.

"She hasn’t been infected, just caught a cold, and since we were constantly on the run, without proper rest, she’s currently suffering from a persistent fever and dehydration..."

Listening to what was said, the girl called Medea just nodded.

"Don’t worry, it’ll be fine."

Looking at the little girl in front of her, Medea smiled and reached out to place a hand on the girl’s head, after which something unexpected happened before the survivors.

A glimmer of white brilliance emerged from Medea’s palm, enveloping the girl, and after a moment, Medea withdrew her hand.

"The child’s illness has been cured, take her to eat something, then let her have a good rest."

"...........???"

Hearing Medea’s words, the group looked at her, then at the girl—who previously had a flushed face and unclear consciousness, now seeming perfectly fine.

What exactly happened? What did they just witness?
