10,000x Rebate System: Every Return Makes Me Stronger
Chapter 136: Sudden Text
Felicia stared at the numbers on the tablet for several seconds before she quietly mumbled, "Seventy percent."
Amon looked at her. Felicia turned toward him, and a rare smile appeared on her face.
"This is a lot better than we expected."
She returned the tablet to the worker and gestured toward the field. "Call your supervisor."
The worker immediately nodded before walking away.
Amon watched him leave before looking back at Felicia.
He still wasn’t entirely sure what the number meant. "How good is it?"
Felicia looked at him as if she had expected the question.
"The land is much better than an ordinary mana-rich land." She folded her arms and looked across the massive field.
"With this level of mana concentration, we can create a much better adventurer hub than we initially anticipated."
Amon’s eyes brightened slightly. "So we’re making more money?"
"Much more." Felicia suddenly raised her hand and ruffled his hair. "I never expected you to be this good."
Amon immediately removed her hand from his head. "I’m not your child."
Felicia looked at him with an amused expression.
"You’re around the same age as my child."
"That doesn’t make me your child," he said.
Felicia chuckled quietly. "Still a child."
Amon resisted the sudden urge to say ’Breastfeed me then.’
He immediately pushed the thought away. ’What the hell is wrong with me?’
Amon looked toward the workers for a moment before his expression became serious.
"Felicia."
"Hm?"
"I have a feeling Edmund will try to mess with us again."
The amusement disappeared from Felicia’s face.
She looked toward him before slowly nodding. "He might try to sabotage the business."
Amon frowned. "How much power does Edmund actually have?"
Felicia thought for a moment before answering. "Edmund himself isn’t that important."
Amon raised an eyebrow. "Then why is everyone so careful around him?"
"Because he’s useful." Felicia’s voice became colder.
"He’s one of the people who handles the dirty work for the Noble faction, especially for the Odette Family."
Her eyes narrowed with spite. "He’s nothing but a dog."
Amon remained silent for a moment.
He looked across the field, watching workers carry equipment between the freshly dug holes. "Can he mess with my family?"
Felicia immediately looked at him.
"No." Her answer was firm. "I won’t let anything like that happen."
Amon looked at her.
Felicia gave him a serious expression.
"You have far too much potential to waste your time worrying about people like Edmund."
She paused before adding, "Focus on growing stronger instead of chasing girls."
Amon’s lips twitched. ’Chasing girls is my main source of power.’
He decided it was probably better not to say that out loud.
Before he could respond, Felicia suddenly turned her gaze toward a man walking across the field toward them.
The man wore a dark work uniform and carried a tablet beneath one arm.
He stopped a few metres away.
"Madam Felicia." He gave her a respectful nod. "I’m the supervisor."
Felicia nodded. "How much time will it take for your team to pack everything and transfer to another location?"
The supervisor looked at her confusedly. "Do you need something moved immediately?"
Felicia shook her head. "First tell me how long it will take."
The man thought for a moment. "About an hour."
Felicia nodded. "I’ll pay you double if you visit another location with us."
The supervisor’s eyes widened. "You have another place to check?"
Felicia nodded. "If you’re ready to take the deal."
The man didn’t hesitate. "We’ll be ready in an hour."
He immediately turned around and hurried back toward his team.
Amon watched him disappear between the workers. "That was fast."
"Money usually makes people efficient."
Felicia placed her hand over her face before looking toward the sky.
"It’s too sunny." She lowered her hand and looked at Amon. "We should sit inside the car."
Amon nodded. "Good idea. The heat is unbearable today."
Felicia gave him a strange look. "That’s what I just said."
"I know."
They began walking toward the car together.
After a few steps, Felicia suddenly spoke. "When I first met you, I thought you were a scammer."
Amon’s lips twitched. "I’ve always been an honest person."
Felicia immediately glanced at him. "Where was that honesty when you scammed Sir Daniel?"
Amon’s expression darkened slightly. "I never scammed him."
Inwardly, however, he began thinking about the incident. ’Was it really worth it?’
He had gotten that ancient knife, but its functions were still locked because of the bloodline requirement.
Amon didn’t even know what to do with the damn thing anymore. ’Maybe I should give it to one of my wives.’
If one of them could use it, perhaps he could get something useful in return through the system.
The thought made him nod slightly. ’That’s probably not a bad idea.’
Felicia opened the car door and stepped inside.
Amon followed her and sat in the passenger seat.
Just as Felicia started reaching toward the controls, she suddenly remembered something.
"Give me your bank account number."
Amon pulled out his phone and opened the page containing his account information before handing it to her.
Felicia looked at the screen. "You don’t even remember your account number?"
Amon shook his head. "I’ve never needed to remember it."
Felicia sighed as she took his phone. "A vampire will die in End Winter, but won’t leave a dime out."
Amon blinked. "What does that even mean?"
Felicia looked at him as she entered his account number into her notepad.
"It’s an old saying." She paused briefly.
"Some vampires have a habit of becoming extremely familiar with no sun around during winter."
"The saying means that some vampires die because of their habit when the sun returns."
Amon nodded slowly. "So basically, the wrong habit can get you killed."
"More or less." Felicia finished writing the number down. "You should always know things that are essential to your life."
Amon nodded seriously. "Yes, Mommy."
Felicia glanced up at him. She didn’t say anything.
She simply returned her attention to the notepad and continued writing.
Amon smiled faintly when a notification sound suddenly echoed through the car.
He glanced toward his phone, which was still in Felicia’s hand.
Felicia looked at the screen and her expression slowly became blank.
Amon noticed the sudden change. "What is it?"
Felicia remained silent for another second.
"It’s a message from Seraphina."
Amon leaned slightly toward her. "What did she say?"
Felicia slowly raised her cold eyes toward him.
"I am pregnant."
