"Come forth, the First Sacred Beast, Uria, Lord of Searing Flames!"

"Roooar!!"

Following old Kagemaru's aged voice and a savage roar, a colossal, crimson, demonic dragon of a monster emerged from the rising pillar of lava, its wings, like a wyvern's, joined to razor claws!

It opened its jaws full of sharp fangs toward Rowan and the others and let out a roar, a visible shockwave of sound.

The vast stretch of forest around them shook, leaves rustling and swaying violently!

[Uria, Lord of Searing Flames] [Level: 10] [Attribute: FIRE] [ATK: 0] [DEF: 0]

"So this is... Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, one of the Sacred Beasts?!"

Chancellor Sheppard stared into the distance, his expression grave.

Jaden, Zane the Kaiser, and the others broke out in cold sweat at the forehead as well!

Even as mere spectators, they could feel the weight of that monster's power pressing down on them.

The colossal body of Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, and the genuine sense of dread it brought, felt like a crushing burden laid across their shoulders!

It was nothing like any of the Shadow Duels they had experienced before!

"A high-level Duel Spirit that can fully materialize in the real world like this. Sure enough, they carry no small amount of power."

Rowan looked at the giant crimson demonic dragon coiling in the air over the field in the distance, and nodded as he spoke.

Earlier on, he had worked out a few rules of thumb about how easy or hard it was for Duel Spirits to awaken, and to materialize.

Generally, the lower a monster's Level and ATK, the easier it was for its Duel Spirit to awaken as it was used more and more in duels.

And the higher a monster's Level, the harder it became.

Materialization worked exactly the same way. The harder a Duel Spirit was to materialize, the stronger it was.

Now, for this Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, with its absurd Level of 10, to have awakened as a Duel Spirit in the real Duel Monsters world, and even materialized, said plenty about how powerful it was!

Even if it could not match the might of the Egyptian God Cards, it was probably already enough to overturn this real Duel Monsters world, just as the rumors claimed!

"Hmph hmph. Are you afraid now? Uria's special effect gives it 1000 ATK and DEF for every Trap Card in my Graveyard!"

Old Kagemaru's smug, aged voice rang out from the mechanical life-support tank as he addressed Rowan.

"And in my Graveyard are the three Trap Cards I just sent as tributes to summon the Sacred Beast."

"Which means Uria's ATK is 3000!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the ATK of the giant crimson demonic dragon hovering above the field before him shot up to 3000 in an instant!

"Furthermore, Uria is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards, and Spell Cards only affect it for a single turn."

Old Kagemaru continued to Rowan as though showing off the great power he had obtained.

"Heh heh heh. Boy, the rule against attacking on the first turn just saved your life. Otherwise, you would already be all but dead under Uria's attack."

But as he said this, he saw that Rowan did not look the slightest bit pressured.

Rowan even, in a rather "considerate" way, followed up with a question.

"So you're just summoning one Uria and ending your turn?"

As far as Rowan was concerned, one Uria simply wasn't enough to be impressive!

He was honestly "worried" that the old man's body would give out before he could even summon all three Sacred Beasts...!

"Hmph. It is your turn, boy! That kind of psychological tactic does not work on someone of my age and mind."

Old Kagemaru brushed aside Rowan's "considerate" question entirely, snorting in that same aged voice.

Though his voice did sound a bit fuller than before, now that he had summoned Uria.

"In that case, I won't hold back. My turn, draw!"

Rowan said, the corner of his mouth curling up, and drew from his Duel Disk's deck.

Under the gazes of Alexis, Chancellor Sheppard, and the others, all wondering just where his confidence came from, he added the drawn card to his hand, then took one from it and played it!

"I activate a Spell Card from my hand, Pre-Preparation of Rites!"

A huge Spell Card image, bearing a design of a two-faced bird, appeared on the field before him.

"By this card's effect, I add one Ritual Spell and its corresponding Ritual Monster from my Deck to my hand."

"Is Rowan using the same Ritual Monster deck he used against Camula?!"

Alexis said in surprise, something clicking into place.

Bastion and Chazz wore the same look, as though they had realized something too.

They had seen Rowan use this Spell Card, Pre-Preparation of Rites, back during the Camula incident.

"But even a Ritual Monster like Herald of Perfection, powerful as its effect is for negating and destroying other cards, shouldn't be easy to deal with against a strong monster like Uria, with its 3000 ATK!"

Bastion analyzed, a little puzzled.

The others heard him and kept watching Rowan, waiting to see what he would add to his hand from the Deck!
