Chapter 1500 - 888: 2

Meanwhile, Zhang Yu had already used the contact information provided by Tai Chenggong to get in touch with Tai Yue Bai.

Zhang Yu looked at the other party’s avatar, which was the back of a white-haired person.

The next moment, a young man’s voice crossed the Spirit Realm and reached Zhang Yu’s ears: "Minister Zhang, hello, Tai Chenggong asked you to contact me, right? Looks like you’ve caught him."

Before Zhang Yu could respond, the other person continued: "First, I must apologize to you, as time was pressing, so we used this method to inquire about your situation."

"We know that beyond sending money, words alone can hardly convey our apology."

As Tai Yue Bai spoke, a full million Immortal Coins had been transferred into Zhang Yu’s account.

"I hope this million Immortal Coins can compensate for some of your losses."

Seeing the account credited with one million Immortal Coins, Zhang Yu instantly felt the goodwill of the other party coming towards him.

Tai Yue Bai continued: "Minister Zhang, we initially doubted whether your ability could participate in legislation. But capturing Tai Chenggong before breaking through Refining Void speaks volumes."

"I wonder if you can complete the Refining Void breakthrough before legislation?"

Zhang Yu then informed the other party that he had completed the Divine Light Ten Changes.

On the other end of the Spirit Realm, Tai Yue Bai’s excited and warm voice immediately came through: "That’s wonderful. Have you applied for Refining Void breakthrough resources? If not, I’ll help you apply."

"Minister Zhang, both I and the Reform Faction need your support, so please complete the breakthrough as quickly as possible."

"See you at legislation."

After finishing the call with Tai Yue Bai, Fu Ji said: "That guy is easy to talk to?"

Zhan Xian commented: "Tai Yue Bai, judging by the situation in Kunxu, he really is a good person. In addition to being Wanfa Sect’s number one filial son, some call him Great Kindness of Ten Thousand Laws. Otherwise, the Reform Faction wouldn’t support him."

A moment later, Fa Liuyuan also sent a message to Zhang Yu: "You’ve completed the Divine Light Ten Changes?"

Zhang Yu: "Completed it."

Seeing Zhang Yu’s reply, Fa Liuyuan was moved: "Did it really make it before legislation?"

Fa Liuyuan replied: "We’ve already applied for the Refining Void breakthrough ceremony for you, make sure you fill out the application form."

Zhang Yu knew that even if his cultivation conditions were met, one doesn’t just break through Refining Void whenever they want.

Because the Immortal Dao Elements needed for the Refining Void breakthrough are obtainable only on the 15th floor of Kunxu, naturally requiring application and allocation processes.

Fa Liuyuan comforted: "We’ll urge others to expedite it, there shouldn’t be any issue, you’ll complete the Refining Void breakthrough before legislation begins."

Seeing Zhang Yu fill out the application form, Fa Liuyuan sighed in his heart, unable to determine for the moment whether getting Zhang Yu to participate in this unprecedented fierce battle was good or bad for him.

...

Just a few days after Zhang Yu sent the application form, Bu Yingshu descended once more to meet him.

"Zhang Yu, do you notice anything different about me?"

Zhang Yu’s eyes fell on the top of the other person’s head and immediately congratulated, "Lord Bu, congratulations on your promotion."

Bu Yingshu, since her "supreme talent" was discovered, had set many Upper and Secondary Merits in the Martial Arts Pavilion, her career achievements were promising. Last year, she rose from the Fifth Level to the Sixth Level.

And after this year’s evaluation, Bu Yingshu was smoothly promoted from the Sixth Level to the Seventh Level, becoming the Pavilion Master, possessing the Tribulation Crossing Certificate.

Of course, though she obtained the certificate, Bu Yingshu’s realm hadn’t broken through, still being a Refining Void Taoist Monarch.

Zhang Yu quietly thought: "I thought after my Refining Void breakthrough, I’d be on the same level as Bu Yingshu. Who knew I’d still be beneath her? How can she get promoted so fast? This Ten Thousand Laws Immortal Clan is so dark."

Fu Ji said: "Bu Yingshu’s quick promotion is good, the faster she rises, the greater her utility."

Bu Yingshu looked proud: "I heard you’ve applied for the Refining Void breakthrough?"

Zhang Yu wasn’t surprised at Bu Yingshu’s informed nature, considering he applied for the Refining Void breakthrough through regular procedures, not really a secret.

Seeing Zhang Yu nod, Bu Yingshu smiled slightly: "Yu, did you think after your Refining Void breakthrough, you’d be at the same level as me?"

She leaned in close to Zhang Yu’s face, exhaling orchid fragrance: "Perhaps you’ve stayed in the Old Graveyard too long, forgetting whose Wanfa Sect this Wanfa Sect is."

Bu Yingshu, upon receiving her new certificate today, came directly to show off to Zhang Yu, intending to suppress his arrogance.

Because she noticed... since her last invocation of the Great Saint Inheritor call, Zhang Yu was getting more and more arrogant.

Today, she wanted Zhang Yu to realize, that in their relationship, she was always on top, the one in control.

But just then, Zhang Yu let out a light hum, causing Bu Yingshu’s heart to quake, recalling her second invocation of the Great Saint’s power which sent a soft hum out to countless people.

Bu Yingshu hurriedly comforted: "Yu, don’t worry, even after I get promoted, I won’t forget you. When I reach the Ascension Realm, I’ll marry you, have you bear two children, if you like... you can leave the children in Bai Zhenzhen’s care."

In Bu Yingshu’s view, letting Zhang Yu bear her children, making him half Immortal Clan, was truly a huge benefit for him.

As for Bai Zhenzhen...

"Though I detest that sword woman, for Zhang Yu’s sake, I’ll let her be the children’s nanny, earn some extra pay."

Upon hearing Bu Yingshu’s words, Zhang Yu had a helpless expression but understood this was Bu Yingshu’s way of showing kindness.

If it were someone else, Bu Yingshu would crush them with a foot without bothering to comfort them like this.

Seeing Zhang Yu nod obediently, Bu Yingshu thought to herself: "Hm, Yu has likely been entranced by my promotion signal, seeing my new level and Tribulation Crossing Certificate, he’s probably enraptured by the fantasy of bearing my children in the future."

Feeling she’s regained control over Zhang Yu, Bu Yingshu coughed and discussed another important matter: "Are you joining this Third Generation Legislation?"

Seeing Zhang Yu nod, Bu Yingshu gave a mysterious smile: "Then we can meet again then."

Hearing this, Zhang Yu was surprised: "Lord Bu, do you mean..."

Before Zhang Yu could figure it out, Bu Yingshu couldn’t resist revealing: "Hmph, I’m also attending the initial batch of Third Generation Legislation."

"Just follow me then, and I’ll cover you."

Hearing these words, Zhang Yu felt conflicted: "This woman... is also attending the Third Generation Legislation? Isn’t she already Refining Void? Could it be..."

Zhang Yu shook his head, knowing now wasn’t the time to wonder why she would attend, but rather the implications of her participation.

Fu Ji said: "No need to guess. With Bu Yingshu’s personality, she definitely wants you to uplift her in legislation, making you her lower law, forever suppressing you beneath her!"

Reluctantly admitting Fu Ji’s logic, Zhang Yu felt a headache coming on.

Artifact Spirit, Soul Cultivator, Pharmaceutical Company, Reform... with Wanfa Sect’s internal faction entanglements, Zhang Yu found it exceedingly troublesome, while concurrently influenced by Ten Thousand Laws Immortal Emperor and Reincarnation Immortal Emperor. His sister also reminded him of the Heavenly Court’s interests needing consideration, with Bu Yingshu now added on.

"This legislation involves too many considerations."

Bu Yingshu spoke on: "I’ll be leaving now, prepare well, legislation can be short or long, finishing quickly in one to two months, or more slowly in seven to eight months, even a year."

Several days later, Zhang Yu received two notifications from Wanfa Sect.

Seeing the notifications’ contents, Zhang Yu pondered: "Refining Void breakthrough application approved, scheduled for May 15th."

"And the Third Generation Legislation training invitation... May 10th?"
