World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch
Chapter 147: Last Floor (Part 1)
[You have killed Rank One Steel Beetle, Level 50.]
[You have cleared the eighth floor.]
[You can now enter the ninth floor.]
Evan stepped forward and removed the Nether Steel Bolt from the body of a six-meter-tall beetle.
"Just two more floors, and we’ll be able to clear this dungeon," Kevin said as he slumped to the ground, panting heavily.
"The shells of these beetles were way too hard. I was starting to think they’d never stop coming," Liam muttered in a low voice as he gulped down a bottle of Mana Potion.
Erza rubbed her sore hands and looked pleadingly at Alice.
"Let’s rest here for today. It’s not even three days since we entered the dungeon, and we’re already on the ninth floor. I think we should get some proper rest today and clear the last two floors tomorrow."
Alice glanced at Erza’s reddened fingers from shooting too many arrows earlier and nodded.
It had been two days since Alice and the others had cleared the fifth floor.
They had managed to clear three more floors after the fifth without any major problems. Although the number of monsters they had to face had increased considerably, defeating them wasn’t particularly difficult because they were all Rank One monsters.
Of course, this was only possible because Evan and the others weren’t ordinary Rank One Evolvers.
If ordinary Rank One Evolvers entered this dungeon, they would probably curse it to no end.
Although the floor bosses were the only Rank Two monsters, there were simply too many Rank One monsters on the other floors.
Ordinary Rank One Evolvers couldn’t even imagine clearing this dungeon without the help of a Rank Two Evolver.
Evan and the others could clear the dungeon so easily because every member of their group was completely abnormal.
Alice and the others were elite students of the academy, and their teamwork was flawless thanks to years of training.
Even when they didn’t work together as a team, their individual strength far surpassed that of ordinary Rank One Evolvers.
On the other hand, Evan was a walking disaster with his destructive power and skills. Just like his abnormal titles, instead of clearing the floors, he practically destroyed them.
"I’m sure other people will be shocked once we clear this dungeon," Liam said with a smug smile.
"For a party of Rank One Evolvers to clear this dungeon in less than a week is really impressive." Erza nodded at Liam’s words, wondering how the academy’s students would react when they found out about their achievement.
"I heard the last team that entered this dungeon took eight days to clear it, and there was even a Rank Two Evolver among them," Kevin said as he munched on an apple.
"Since this is a relatively new dungeon, I think we’re the fourth team to enter it. Because it takes some time for a dungeon to recover after being conquered, not many people have been able to enter it so far," Alice said thoughtfully. "But I think that even in the future, when more people enter this dungeon, it won’t be easy for them to break our record."
Whenever a dungeon was conquered, it became inaccessible for a certain period because the monsters inside needed time to respawn.
When the Animal Kingdom Dungeon first appeared, the first team to enter it had taken over ten days to clear it. The other teams, who had some information about the dungeon from the first team’s report, managed to complete it in less time.
Even so, the best record was still over eight days.
However, it had only been three days, and Evan and the others were already about to reach the ninth floor.
"No matter how difficult this dungeon is, it’s truly a paradise for people who want to collect Rank One Mana Cores," Liam said with a faint smile as he glanced at Evan.
Over the past few days, Evan had collected a large number of Mana Cores by killing monsters.
Combined with the cores he already had, he now possessed more than three thousand Rank One Mana Cores.
Even for Alice and the others, that was no small amount.
"What do you humans call it again? Oh, right! A young master! You’re a rich young master now, aren’t you?" Kevin teased, making Evan’s eye twitch slightly.
"Do you have any idea what you want to buy with so many Mana Cores?" Liam asked Evan.
"I am not sure." Evan shook his head. "I’ll look around the market after we get back, but I’m definitely going to buy a Communication Crystal."
Alice’s eyes gleamed slightly when she heard Evan’s answer, and she immediately made a suggestion.
"If you want to buy a Communication Crystal, I suggest you get a Rank Three one."
"There are ranks even among Communication Crystals?" Evan asked, taken aback by Alice’s words.
"Of course." Erza nodded and explained, "The higher the rank of a Communication Crystal, the better its communication capabilities. If you buy a Rank Three Communication Crystal, you will be able to talk to us even after you leave Planet Elvador."
"Are you serious?" Evan’s eyes widened in disbelief.
"Yes, but Rank Three Communication Crystals are quite expensive. One will cost you around two thousand five hundred Rank One Mana Cores."
Evan was stunned when he heard the price of a Rank Three Communication Crystal. He looked at the Mana Cores in his Storage Ring, feeling a little reluctant to spend so much.
He had barely collected three thousand Mana Cores after killing thousands of monsters, and now Kevin was telling him that a good Communication Crystal alone would cost more than two thousand Mana Cores.
Seeing his speechless expression, Alice smiled slightly.
"Don’t worry. I know someone who can sell you a Communication Crystal at a lower price."
"At a cheaper price..." Evan looked at Alice, but he still felt that it wouldn’t cost much less than two thousand cores.
He sighed inwardly and shook his head.
’Forget it. I’ll think about it after leaving.’
He looked at the golden portal leading to the ninth floor, and his eyes narrowed slightly.
’I didn’t participate in the fight on the fifth floor. But on the tenth floor, once I kill that Rank Two monster, I wonder if my stat points, which have been stuck for some time, will finally increase.’
