World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch
Chapter 128: Mythical Grade Artifact (Part 2)
"We are about to reach the academy."
As Alice’s voice fell, the mist around them disappeared, as if an invisible force had pushed it away from the area.
The speed of the cable car also slowed down, and soon, it stopped beside a high platform.
"Let’s go," Alice said and stepped out of the cable car.
Evan followed after her and left the car as well, standing on the high platform.
There were many high platforms similar to the one they were standing on, and the other cable cars stopped there, allowing students to safely leave the cars.
Using the stairs, Alice and Evan came down, and Evan found himself in the middle of a small clearing surrounded by trees.
But no matter where he looked, he couldn’t even see the shadow of the academy.
Just as he was feeling confused, his eyes landed on a five-meter-tall stone some distance away from them, and he noticed that all the other elves were going toward the stone.
Coming before the stone, a male elf placed a card similar to the one Alice had used to operate the cable car, and the next second, a silver light burst forth from the stone, and he disappeared.
Evan was stunned when he saw this and turned to look at Alice.
"That’s the entrance to the academy. The academy was created inside a special space that is separated from the outside."
"Separated space?" Evan raised an eyebrow when he heard Alice.
"Hmm..." Alice nodded and looked back at the stone. "When the academy was created thousands of years ago, the Queen of Elves at that time used a Mythical-Grade artifact to create a special space where the academy was built."
"A Mythical-Grade treasure..." Evan’s eyes widened, and he stared at the stone with a dumbfounded look on his face.
The highest level of artifact he had was the Arch Eagle Crossbow, and it was an Epic-Grade artifact.
Above Epic Grade was Legendary Grade, and above Legendary Grade was Mythical Grade.
Although the difference between Epic and Mythical was only two grades, the actual difference in their power was worlds apart.
Just like how the Arch Eagle Crossbow was tens of times more powerful than the Thunder Ring, which was a Rare-Grade artifact, only one grade lower than Epic.
Taking a deep breath, he suppressed the shock in his heart and did not ask anything else.
’The environment on Planet Elvador is already so good. But since they created this inside a separate space using a Mythical-Grade Artifact, it’s obvious the environment inside will be even better than here.’
A faint sense of anticipation couldn’t help but arise in Evan’s heart as he thought about this, and he was even more eager to look at this sub-academy.
Alice and Evan soon came closer to the stone and stood in a row to wait for their turn to go inside.
As they got closer, it was natural that many elves noticed Evan, who was different from them.
Some looked at him with curiosity, while most of them didn’t bother to hide their hostility toward him.
Evan’s mouth twitched slightly when he felt the sharp gazes of some elves and even saw them hiding female elves behind them, as if they would be contaminated if his gaze landed on them.
"Who is this human?"
"Must be another bastard of the human race who came here for a visit in the name of the Alliance."
"They are lucky that they are also part of the Light Alliance. If not, I would have already annihilated these evildoers."
"Brother, you have just reached Level 31. Don’t speak so highly, or you might get slapped to death by someone."
"Are you looking down on me? Thirty years in the west, thirty in the east. Don’t look down on a poor Level 31 elf."
Evan listened to their weird conversation and, for a moment, didn’t know what to say.
Alice silently lowered her head, her hands itching slightly as if she wanted to slap the person who threw out that stupid dialogue.
Luckily, it was soon their turn to enter, and Alice immediately stepped forward.
She took out the same token that she had used earlier and placed it on the stone.
"Hold my hand, or you won’t be able to enter without a token," Alice said while extending her hand.
"That pervert is going to hold the hand of our Princess?"
"Didn’t our academy issue some tokens to the human race so they can use them when they visit our planet?" A Winged Elf said in a doubtful voice.
"He definitely didn’t bring that token so he could hold hands with the Princess."
"Damn this bastard, he already found his way to death."
Evan expressionlessly held Alice’s hand, but the twitching of his eyes indicated that he was far from calm upon hearing the absurd words of these elves.
Alice noticed his expression and barely held back her laughter as she activated the token.
A bright silver light flashed, and both of them disappeared.
A second later, Evan found himself standing right before a giant structure.
"Is this the academy?" He asked in an astonished voice, looking at the building before him that looked like a wizard academy he had seen in picture books.
In front of the academy building, a beautiful garden had been created that was connected to the building through a stone bridge.
A creek was flowing below the bridge, and Evan could sense dense Water Element around the creek.
Some students were using their water-based skills near the creek to improve them.
The sight in front of him was so wonderful that he forgot about the elves who had been talking nonsense just a moment ago.
"So this is the academy, huh..." Evan muttered in a low voice, his eyes gleaming slightly.
"Look there."
While he was thinking, Alice’s voice reached his ears, and he shifted his attention in the direction she was pointing.
As he turned his head, he was stunned to see a tall mountain in the distance.
That mountain was surrounded by black clouds and dense arcs of lightning falling down from the sky, striking different areas of the mountain.
"That’s Thunder Mountain. The density of Lightning Element there is very high. If you stay there and practice for some time, there is a possibility for you to increase the level of your Lightning-type skills or even comprehend a new internal skill related to the Lightning Element."
Alice smiled when she saw the shock on his face and shook her head.
"Don’t be surprised. That is just one of the places in the academy. There are many areas similar to Thunder Mountain, including Wind Valley, which is suitable for Wind power users."
