World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch
Chapter 113: World Barrier (Part 1)
Evan and the others moved without stopping, and a few hours later, they were already far away from the destroyed base of the Chaos Alliance.
Feeling that they were at a safe distance, they finally slowed down a bit, and their expressions relaxed.
While talking with Liam, Evan looked at himself and frowned slightly.
"Is there any pond or something nearby? The blood on my body is starting to annoy me."
Although he had used water to wash away the blood and dirt from his face and didn’t look like a beggar anymore, there was still a lot of blood on him.
Before Liam could respond to Evan’s question, Erza replied.
"Indeed, you really need to take a bath. I did not say it earlier, but you stink like rotten eggs."
Evan was taken aback by Erza’s words and smelled himself.
Although he indeed didn’t smell very good because of the Lizard King blood that covered him, it wasn’t to the point where he smelled like rotten eggs.
Seeing his baffled expression, Liam and the others chuckled and shook their heads.
"Don’t mind her. She is just teasing you..." Alice said and looked ahead of them. "There is a pond not far from here. Let’s go there. You can clean yourself there, and the others can also eat something before we continue on our way."
Erza and the others had no objection to Alice’s words.
Soon, all of them came before a small pond located in the forest. There were some unranked Magical Beasts nearby, but upon feeling the aura of Evan and the others, all of them immediately ran away.
"You guys can clean yourselves first. Erza and I will make a campfire there so we can cook something," Alice said and left along with Erza.
Once they were out of their sight, Kevin and Liam immediately took off their clothes and jumped into the pond.
Evan didn’t hesitate either and jumped inside as well.
"Taking a bath after a fight is really the best thing," Liam said while floating in the pond like a dead man.
Evan dived deeper into the pond and cleaned all the blood and dirt. After cleaning himself thoroughly for a few minutes inside the pond, he finally resurfaced.
"The smell of that lizard’s blood is finally gone," He muttered as he splashed water on his face.
Hearing Evan, Kevin and Liam looked at him and raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Not bad, brother," Liam swam towards him. "You are not bad-looking. You at least have 10% of my handsomeness."
Evan rolled his eyes at Liam’s words, and seeing his hands coming towards his face, he waved his hand, and a gust of wind blew Liam away from him.
Kevin chuckled when he saw this and shook his head.
Suddenly, Evan thought of something and asked them, "Are there many planets where humans live? You said humans are also part of the Light Alliance, but my planet began to evolve only two hundred years ago while this alliance seems very old. It means there are other planets where humans live, right?"
Liam, who was blown away and sank inside the pond, jumped up from the water and spoke without caring about the earlier incident.
"Yeah, there are many planets where humans live. In fact, not only humans, but elves, dragonkins, barbarians... Most of the members of the Light Alliance live on multiple planets."
"Is that so..." Evan nodded at Liam’s words.
Kevin, who was at the side, heard their conversation and added, "Your planet has been evolving for only two hundred years, and it’s still Rank One. As your planet develops more and more, these things will become common knowledge."
It was the second time Evan had heard them mentioning Planet Level.
He was curious about it, so he asked them, "What is this level of planet you are talking about?"
Kevin and Liam raised an eyebrow in surprise at Evan’s words, as they did not expect him to not know such a basic thing.
But although they were confused, they did not ask him and explained calmly.
"Just like how we evolve, planets also evolve with the help of Mana. Each evolution of a planet brings great changes to it..." Kevin said. "The evolution requirements for every planet are different, and it’s very hard for a planet to evolve. But once it evolves, not only will the density of Mana on a planet increase greatly, but the chances of higher-level treasures, herbs, dungeons, and other things appearing on it will also increase."
Kevin pointed at their surroundings.
"You can feel it, right? Since you came from a Rank One planet, you should be able to feel that the density of Mana here is tens of times higher than on your planet."
Evan nodded at Kevin’s words, as he could really feel that the Mana density here was way higher than on Planet Zarth.
"What is the level of your planet?"
"It’s already Level Three..." Liam said. "It’s been quite some time since Planet Elvador evolved to Rank Three, but it’s still far from becoming a Rank Four."
"Rank Three..." Evan muttered under his breath, and his eyes flickered slightly. "How long has your planet been evolving?"
Liam and Kevin looked at each other and shook their heads.
"We are not sure, but I think it should already be over ten thousand years."
"More than ten thousand years?" Evan was stunned when he heard Liam and finally understood why they looked at him as if he came from a primitive planet when he told them about Planet Zarth.
’Planet Zarth has been evolving for only two hundred years, and there are already some Rank Four Evolvers on it. Since this planet has been evolving for thousands of years, what would be the level of the strongest person here?’
As he thought of this, Evan’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch, as he knew the strongest person on the planet was Alice’s mother, and he would soon be meeting her.
Seeing his expression, Kevin asked curiously, "What are you thinking?"
Hearing Kevin, Evan came out of his thoughts and gave a dry laugh.
"I was just wondering what would be the level of the strongest person on this planet."
Hearing Evan, Liam and Kevin gave him a weird look.
Feeling their strange gaze, Evan raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What’s wrong?"
Kevin took a deep breath and shook his head.
"It’s nothing. We were just surprised that you don’t know about the World Barrier."
"World Barrier?" Evan was taken aback by the new term.
"Hmmm..." Liam nodded. "There is actually a World Barrier that covers this entire world. While inside this barrier, you can’t evolve beyond Rank Four. Only after crossing the World Barrier can you Evolve to Rank Five and above."
