"Nao is sleepy..."
When I finished reading Xifia’s note, Nao suddenly threw herself at me. She yawned as I caught her in the air and she wrapped her arms around me.
When Nao rested her head on my shoulder, I could feel her breath on my neck. But when she closed her eyes and fell asleep immediately, her body disappeared.
But Nao has not disappeared entirely — I could feel her presence in the bracelet on my left wrist. I could also feel something similar to her breathing and the beating of her heart.
All of Nao’s -Vital Signs- indicate that she is sleeping deeply.
One moment Nao was jumping and bouncing around everywhere, running in every direction and calling out with her soft voice.
And then the very next moment she says she is sleepy and simply falls asleep...
But now that I think about it — has Nao not slept since yesterday?
"All right, rest... Thank you for your help." I murmured to Nao, who sleeps inside the bracelet.
Taking out a small notebook, I tore out a page and with my white quill — the official one — I wrote a reply to Xifia.
Summoning my little sparrow Bifrist, I sent the note with my reply to Xifia, letting her know I would be there in a moment.
Before going, I need to take the mission objective with me, do I not?
"{Kingdom ~ !}" letting out my -Chuunibyou- side, I placed my hands in front of my chest as if in prayer and conjured my wings.
Or rather, I simply spread my wings. I let my fairy mana flow freely and expand around me, creating a zone I call the Fairy Kingdom.
My ancestor Keira, the Hero Queen, was renowned for this kingdom — it is achieved at the level called the -Summoner Realm-, the eighth highest level a Summoner Warrior can reach.
I suspect my mother has reached this level but keeps it hidden, or Professor Rudelle would definitely not be the youngest Summoner Saintess in the Human Kingdom.
According to the records, a Summoner Warrior who has reached the Summoner Realm has a very deep understanding of the origin of their Familiar.
They can create an area from one kilometer to tens of kilometers that they call a -Realm-. Inside this -Realm-, the Summoner Warrior can add laws to the space or even nullify others. Although this depends greatly on the laws the Familiar grants.
Of course, my small space filled with fairy magic that I call a Kingdom does not compare to what Summoner Warriors at this level possess.
But I am not a Summoner Warrior from the start. Just like the Hero Queen, we have this fairy magic because it was acquired through the bloodline — hers obtained, and mine innate from birth as a descendant of the Hero Queen’s blood.
So it is not impossible for me to gradually grow familiar with creating a true realm little by little.
When the space imbued with fairy magic reached all the way to the artifact protecting the black fruit, I could feel it responding to me with warmth.
It is in the nature of fairies to be born from the floral realm — all plants love fairies, and fairies protect all plants and all creatures that live alongside them and within them.
Since I arrived on this ship that has the capacity to sail among the stars, I have felt nothing but warmth and a sense of welcome.
Taking this small yet great artifact that has the capacity to create force fields and protective shields is not difficult for me.
But I do wonder whether it will also accept me if I release my demonic aura...
I cannot place this artifact inside my white backpack — even though I can store medicinal herbs in there and even a large tree, this artifact feels very heavy and sealed. I have no choice but to take it to my -Reminiscence Room- the same way I did with the black alien egg.
I walked slowly closer and placed my right hand on the sap crystal.
My tail appeared from behind me, and I calmly placed the heart-shaped tip of my tail, touching one of the black leaves little by little.
To avoid triggering any rejection, I did not use my demonic energy to wrap around my tail.
The contact with the leaf felt cool and made my legs feel weak. This is like... No! I do not even want to think about it.
Maybe if my tail had some kind of covering over it... No! That is even more perverted!!
Well, it seems the artifact does not reject me.
"Just come with me..." though this cannot really be considered a complete life form. It makes me feel as if I am tricking a small child...
I injected a small amount of demonic energy — a pink heart mark with a tree appeared on the black leaf, and then I could feel a connection form between the artifact and my inner space.
With a single thought and with the help of my fairy magic and fairy dust, I managed to make the artifact separate its -roots- from the ship’s wood on the floor.
Then, as if lifting a great heavy box, I strained with all my strength and managed to cover the entire artifact and surround it with demonic energy — and in an instant the artifact disappeared and reappeared in the -Reminiscence Room-.
"Ugh!! That was heavy!" I sighed and let my body relax. I could feel sweat beading on my forehead.
"All right, it is time to head back. This can be considered mission complete."
I stretched and looked around. The only light comes from my little fairies fluttering around me — everything else is swallowed by darkness.
But even in the shadows, the enormous artifacts and machines can be seen — machines that at some point had operated at full power to carry this ship sailing through the stars.
Where did this ship come from and where was it headed, and what caused it to be wrecked on this planet. These are questions I hope to find answers to in the future.
Choosing a direction, it is time to return to the girls.
Deciding in the end to exit through one of those cone-shaped openings at the rear of the ship. It is the closest point — I can fly, so I do not need to find a path that leads me down to the ground.
If it were up to me, I would have already written to my cousin Kharislava about the ship. There is so much technology on this vessel that could help fulfill my dream of a cool spaceship to travel through space. Maybe if I could find the way to the -Aqua Planet- and arrive there in a ship — I wonder what my former fellow citizens from my old world would think of me. Would I arrive in peace? Hehe ~
"Vrem!!!" Magen spotted me from afar and began waving her hands.
Flying is definitely the fastest way to travel.
"My, you all started without me." I said with a feigned complaint as I saw everyone gathered around the stone table.
"No! We were waiting for you — it is this old witch who has no respect for you and started eating by herse... AHH! Why are you hitting me, old witch?!"
"Quiet! I am your lead teacher and I have every right to eat! Besides, I came all this way rushing here from first thing in the morning!"
"Bleh! Who is going to believe that — everyone knows the speed of a Summoner Saintess. What happened is that you definitely got drunk until late and only just woke up less than a couple of grad ago... AHH! Stop hitting me, old witch!"
I landed on the rocky floor of the cave while watching Magen and Professor Rudelle play and bicker.
"Vrem, eat."
"Thank you, Dian."
Dianeira placed a plate and a glass with breakfast in front of me. I picked up the sandwich Dian had prepared and took a sip from the glass of juice.
"Vrem, report."
"Why do you call my girlfriend Vrem?! HA! Let me go, you reek of alcohol!"
"Yes. Following yesterday’s indication by our companion Destan regarding the cave marked on the map as Xuexue, the team..."
While watching Professor Rudelle effortlessly hold Magen with one arm and pin her under her armpit, I began giving Professor Rudelle my report.
Even though Professor Rudelle tends to be quite relaxed when teaching and when speaking with us, I still maintained a respectful and proper attitude when delivering the oral mission report. Of course, all while sitting down and holding a half-eaten sandwich in my left hand.
But as I gave my report, I noticed a faint smell of alcohol. And my gaze toward Professor Rudelle gradually grew more and more suspicious.
"Ahem, well done. Remember to write the report and hand it in. By the way, they have gotten a bathroom working — I have not had time to take a shower..." Professor Rudelle seemed to understand my look and her face flushed slightly, though she still maintained her relaxed air.
"Yes, old witch, you stink — go shower!"
"You are coming with me — do not think you smell like flowers!"
"Ehhhh. I do not smell bad, do I, Vrem?" Magen looked over at me and I did not know what to say.
Now that I think about it, it seems no one showered last night — they just finished their training and went straight to bed.
"Maybe everyone should take the opportunity to wash up?" I said while glancing over at Destan.
"Destan, you should go shower too — a boy should always stay clean and take care of his hygiene."
"EHH!!! Destan has not showered either?!" everyone’s eyes turned to Destan, who had just been eating quietly.
"I..." and then Destan turned into a boy with a face as red as an apple.
