Chapter 1260: Chapter 585: Awakening_2

For a moment, from the towns to the wilderness, from the plains to the mountains, various forces secretly brewed the prelude to an impending revolution...

Cynthia stood on the inner side of the crumbling ruins, her expression complex yet with a long-lost determined smile.

"This is the beginning of a new Chapter... and also the darkest moment before dawn. But with you, with us, there’s hope."

Liya stood at the core of the altar, her eyes glowing with a clear brilliance, having just completed the breakthrough ceremony, the essence of the Sixth Ring integrated into the consciousness abyss.

She felt the weighty responsibility of bearing the future mission, while also gaining unprecedented powerful energy support.

"The future... belongs to those who dare to stand up."

Under the endless stars, countless people trembled in the dark corners, listening to an invisible wave, a voice like an ancient oracle penetrating deep into their bones, awakening long-suppressed desires and fears within. Those who had just struggled to survive in the ruins, upon hearing that the Bloodline Meditation Method and simplified Life Rune marks were freely open, burst into tears, seeing the long-lost and fervent hope.

Meanwhile, on the other side of this hope and fear intertwined land, the royals and nobles of various kingdoms sat in their ornate council chambers. The magnificent marble floors reflected flickering candlelight, their brows furrowed, and their handsome faces full of solemnity.

"This... is simply a fatal blow to the foundations of our rule!" Calder’s Kingdom’s chief advisor, Alvin, clenched the desk with both hands, his tone full of unease. "If the commoners truly grasp this power, all the glory and authority we’ve accumulated over centuries will be ruined in an instant."

Next to him, a duke in an embroidered gold robe, with a stern face, sneered arrogantly: "David is but a demigod; it’s one thing for him to stir the storm, but disseminating the so-called ’Forbidden Secret’ basic version is no different from letting a magical beast into the palace. Once the masses awaken, those we once trampled will swarm en masse; can we still sit safely then?"

The atmosphere in the council chamber grew even more oppressive; though no one dared to speak easily, they all understood that this heralded an impending earth-shattering new era.

At the same time, on the other side of the continent, within the winding clouds and towering ancient trees, in the large secretive Wizard Organization—the Moon Shadow Sect, a meeting was in full swing.

In the elders’ section, a person with wrinkled skin but eyes sharp as a hawk slowly spoke: "David’s action is a disruption of tradition, yet it’s also an opportunity. Publicly teaching the ’Bloodline Meditation Method’ basic version and simplified rune marks, undoubtedly opens a new path to higher tiers for mortals."

A younger but experienced witch immediately interjected: "Indeed, I think we should embrace this change, letting more disciples master these powers to prepare for possible future upheavals."

But before she finished, an elder draped in a black robe, with an inscrutable expression, angrily rebuked: "Are you all mad? This is the most direct desecration against the traditional law of the Church! The Holy Light Church views ’bloodline taboos’ as the foundation of order, and David’s action is tantamount to rebellion! If not stopped, it will trigger a witch extermination catastrophe, and we shall surely become the hunted!"

The debate grew heated, and decisions were hard to unify. Some were excited by the new power’s potential, others plunged into anxiety fearing future conflicts, but they shared one common understanding: the turbulence in the entire shadow mage realm was now unavoidable.

Meanwhile, in the immense Holy Light Church, hailed as the pillar of the Bright Continent and wielding immense power, the upper meeting room was ablaze with a gigantic Holy Flame altar. Before the altar sat a white-robed Pope, his eyes clear as blue gems, yet with a look of anger and determination. He slowly stood, his steps stead, each step seemingly pounding out a solemn and dignified rhythm.

"This is sacrilege, it’s betrayal!" His voice hoarse yet sonorous, "David openly challenges our sacred authority, popularizing forbidden secrets among the common, not only defying tolerance but provoking a comprehensive holy war!"

He waved the scepter adorned with shining holy light, "In my supreme name, I issue a—full crusade order! All residing bishops, mobilize all armed believers, spare no cost to eradicate any disseminators of the ’Bloodline Meditation Method’ and its variants!"

As the decree was issued, the hall erupted into thunderous applause and acclamations, but everyone also bore a heavy unease and solemnity. This signified the entire Bright Continent was bound for an unprecedented, large-scale, and highly enduring conflict phase—the so-called "full holy war", not merely a war of faith, but a deadly struggle between the disintegration of the old order and the birth of a new era!

In the dusty streets of the Silver Moon Kingdom, young soldiers’ eyes shone with resolute defiance, some even began privately learning the techniques refined from the ’Bloodline Meditation Method’, hoping to quickly enhance their strength to face the impending tumult. Messages of unrest also spread from many towns on the border, as some civilians experienced abnormal physiques during early awakenings and were hunted or excluded, while various resistance organizations began to stir, hoping to seize this chance to change their fates.

Rumors in the distant wilderness and jungles told of spirit beasts once hidden in the deep mountains gradually awakening, their bodies exuding a peculiar aura resonating with those who acquired the improved rune marks’ bloodline... This further intensified the inevitable developmental trend of tearing apart the old world structure.

During this brewing period of historical upheaval, various forces tested each other’s limits, constantly adjusting positions. Some nobles secretly funded resistance groups attempting to control the emerging power; others sought to contact secretive wizard sects seeking to use magic to block information dissemination; a very few lords chose not to participate, preferring to observe quietly to ensure their domain’s safety. Yet, all actions could not stop the surging tide pushing forward, the continent’s history was about to be rewritten by this stroke of lightning!

The night deepened, people’s minds gradually churned. Everything appeared calm, yet beneath the surface, an undercurrent surged like a rushing torrent, on the verge of bursting at some point, leading the world into a new era?

Cynthia gazed into the distant starry sky, her lips slightly curling into a determined smile, "The dawn, though distant, will ultimately arrive."

Liya closed her eyes, sensing the raging spiritual power within, she softly murmured, "The future belongs to those who dare to shatter their chains."

This night was quieter than ever before. The faint starlight scattered on the water seemed to dim as if devoured, and amidst the surging waves came a sudden vast mental wave—a mixed feeling of surprise, scrutiny, and barely concealed worry.

Atlas slowly opened amber-like, serene deep eyes, his gaze seemingly penetrating the endless darkness, reaching beyond to the source of the otherworldly tremors. His majestic figure, like a sculpture on a giant rock, emanated stern authority in the dark blue and deep realm.

"Chaos..." he murmured to himself, the voice low and filled with ancient mystery, "A new existence... capable of shaking the delicate balances among many realms. The taboos of the past begin to corrode the old order, this power could very much rewrite the trajectory of multiverse laws."

As his fingers lightly traced the water’s surface, invisible ripples turned into slight vibrations spreading out, seemingly responding to the distant continent’s eruption of furious waves. He looked up toward the sparse stars beyond the atmosphere, the place torn asunder by chaos’s godly might.

"The mortal world is on the eve of transformation." Atlas’s gaze solemn, "If this power continues to spread, it will trigger unpredictable consequences... perhaps even we gods have to intervene."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the distant continent—in the deep forest of the elf race’s ancestral land, a colossal lifeform towering into the sky, its branches and leaves spreading thousands of miles, was slowly swaying. It was the World Tree, "Isaryl".

Isaryl nestled on the ancient land, its roots digging deep into the Earth’s core, touching every inch of the life veins;
